Excellent Value In A Book Shelf
This is one great book shelf. I purchased it on Amazon about one and a half years ago. It is easy to assemble as it simply unfolds - it is so well designed. It has four sturdy & durable shelves with a back bar for each shelf. It is made of finished natural wood with a clear polish. It is not too wide so it can fit in kitchens, college dorms and other smaller places.

As soon as the book shelf arrived at my door in about one week I put it together in 5 minutes. I just loved it and wanted to get more. But it was sold out. I liked it so much that I looked all over the web to find another one. However, there was not one to be found anywhere. Now I just noticed that the same item which I liked so much is available again on Amazon at the same affordable price of $49.99. Be sure to get one before they sell out again. I guarantee you that they will sell out quickly.

Solid, useful furniture
We bought one of these a couple of months ago. It folds down nicely if you move alot (like a dorm room, etc.), but it also looks good long-term.<br /><br /> <br /><br /> Solid wood, clean lines, sturdy. I thought it would fall over on carpet, but it does just fine, even with weight unbalanced toward the top.

Simply perfect
I couldn't be happier with the bookshelf ...it is perfect in color and craftmans ship.I did have a brain cramp when I ordered it ....I didn't look to see how tall it was....so it is shorter then I expected ...but that was my fault.

Great value
My bookcase arrived in great shape and really helps my spare room look finished. It is simple to assemble. It is not super-tall, so pay attention to the measurements.

Great Price and No Assembly Required!
I bought this because I got my fill of "make-it-yourself" furniture with all my IKEA brand stuff.This bookshelf looks great and is simple to setup.The shelf comes already built and folded up.All you do is 'open' the shelf up and it's done.It literally takes 30 seconds. Plus, it looks nice and holds a good amount of books, dvds, cd, etc.

The only knock on it that I have read from other reviews is that it came with chips/cracks in it.To me, that's a shipping issue, not an issue with the quality of the product.Blame UPS, not Dolce on that one!

I'm a big fan of this shelf and am ordering another one as I write this!

i received the bookshelf and the shelves were broken and cracked and when i went to pull out the side to open it, the whole thing fell apart.

Worst bookcase ever
In the past year I have gotten the entire Dolce collection and loved every piece of it until I got this bookcase.Basically the bookcase doesnt stay together. At first there were just huge gaps between the shelves and side panels. Although it bothered me I decided to keep the bookcase anyway.Then about 4 weeks later the side panel cracked in half and the whole thing collapsed. This bookcase is now worthless.

No reply
I recieved the cabinet with a broken middle shelf and have had no response from Amazon,Target or the Manufacturer.

Great Bargain - Nice Quality
This is a great bookcase for the money.I needed a book shelf and desk for our den and did not want to spend a lot of money.The Dolce collection was perfect in color, size and price!Everything matches nicely and the stain is a lovely rich color.The only "cheap" part is that the back of the book shelf consists of a thin piece of press board that you tack on with small nails.However, because the color matches the wood, it is hardly noticeable.I definately reccomend this and the desk too.The whole line is great if you want that rich wood look for a bargain price.

classy mission style furniture
I have 4 of these in my home and I love them. The shelves are adjustable and the unit is easy to assemble. The instructions are pictures only and the pictures so closely match the subtle differences in each piece, the only way you will mess up assembly is if you try to do it without referring to the schematic. Using the proper tools and not over-tightening the screws, the shelves should theoretically last forever as long as you are only loading books & not bricks in the shelves. I accent my shelves with knick-knacks along with the books. The simple style is beautiful without being boring and the color is rich. If you can't afford custom and/or raw furniture, this is the next best thing - and it doesn't look like cheesy laminate stuff like those O'Sullivan kits.

I have the Dolce desk and ordered the bookcase to match.Received it today, it is MUCH lighter in color than my desk! I am sooooo disappointed, I haven't seen it in stores in months, so I don't know what I will do.Plus, that price turns into more after all charges are added in...worth the price IF it matched!!!! ... Great value for the price

SURPRISING GOOD
FOR THE PRICE THIS IS A GOOD VALUE. SOME PROBLEMS. DOORS DONT LINE UP PROPERLY AND SOMETIMES THE DOORS OPEN ON THEIR OWN. Good quality, excellent value
Purchased 3 of these Sterilite cabinets, plus 1 base cabinet, and 1 drawer cabinet during a recent sale at Target. Quality is good and the price is excellent. These cabinets are well-engineered. Assembly is quick and simple. The directions are actually clearly written and well-diagrammed. I price- and spec-shopped several large retail stores, and these cabinets were clearly the best value overall.

Very versatile
These are wonderful cabinets. I have 5 now between the basement and garage. One for paint supplies, one for art supplies, one for gardening, one for my outside Christmas things in the garage. Easy to assemble, no tools, pieces just snap together; by now I can do it in a few minutes. Shelves are adjustable; in my art closet, I omitted 2 of the shelves and can stand the 20x30 matboards up and still have 2 shelves for my tape gun, etc. And the shelves easily hold plastic boxes for organizing even further. Well worth the price.

These things look great. They're tall, sturdy, and really have the appearance of much more expensive furniture. I'd give these six stars if I could. Great for smallish rooms, too. I bought two; they look nice together.

Many of Target's furniture looks attractive but the quality tends to reflect its price.However, everyone's rave reviews of this bookshelf is completely accurate.Not only are they the easiest pieces to assemble (just screwing in a few screws), they are made of actual wood.The construction and design are top notch and the look is similar to other more expensive pieces around.The piece is great for small spaces and they look great as a set if you decide to buy more than one.

Nice Bookcase, but be prepared a few nicks and scratches!
I was looking for home office furniture to match the more expensive pieces I have which I could not afford to buy more of from the same store. I read the reviews and noted that everyone had commented on some minor damage to the pieces (chips, scuffs, and nicks). So, I was prepared for that and readied myself for a trip to the hardward store for a small can of brown paint. But upon unpacking I found the hardware kit was missing!!! So I have to wait for the kit to arrive now after I have all the pieces unpacked UGH!!! Target was very responsive and issued a 10% refund to compensate me for any repair costs and alternatively, they did offer to have replacement parts sent to me if I wanted, but I opted for the discount since it seemed the easier thing to do. So, while I have not assembled the shelf yet, it looks to be nice even if I have some McGyver-ing to do!

I bought this shelf yesterday. After putting it all together I noticed that this doesn't sit flat on the floor. From a distance this piece looks nice but upclose is another story. Not worth the money!

Stylish, but UPS always damages it
I bought 2 of these bookcases.They aren't very difficult to assemble, and they look pretty decent.The problem is that both of them were damaged during shipping.Target is sending me another side piece for the one that was more damaged, but I have very little confidence that it will arrive undamaged.If you can, get this piece directly from the store, rather than having it shipped.
