A good starting point
Seagate's User's Guide does what any good manual is supposed to do... provide you with a good enough starting point to create powerful and customizable reports with relative ease.While it provides a fair amount of screen shots, I found that it was lacking in this area at some crucial points which left me wondering how to accomplish and follow instructions provided for the creation of some reports.

If you are a Seagate Info and Seagate Analysis user, complimentary software to Crystal Reports provided by Seagate, it provides you with no instruction on their use, advantages disadvantages and differences in their functionality.For a better description of both Info and Analysis you may want to look at Osborne's: The Complete Reference - Seagate Crystal Reports 8 by G. Peck. Finally, the manual does not adequately cover how to address applications geared for the Web or using VB.These topics are better addressed elsewhere.

The manual is bundled with the software so therefore, if you purchased a copy you are likely to own a copy already.However, if you are looking for another reference to supplement your understanding of the true functionality and power of this program, it may be better to refer to Peck for a more in-depth view.

Inferior Software, unconvincing company backup
With a bit of luck you will get the software working - and even print some business forms. For me, the system REALY fell apart when I tried to re-order business forms and envelopes. Save yourself a lot of trouble and frustration and look elsewhere.

Don't Waste Your Money
If you really need an invoicing program for your business then LOOK ELSEWHERE.

This program is a real disappointment, and most likely a waste of your time and money. It functions more like a stripped-down version of Quicken than an invoicing program. Like Quicken, the program pays bills well, but fails miserably when it comes to invoicing clients the way businesses need to invoice clients. This is somewhat strange because the product's name is SmartInvoice not Mini-Quicken.

The program is full of bugs (and I have all the latest program updates). Access violations occur frequently - leaving you stuck in the middle of creating or updating an invoice.I sent info to the company about the access violations, and received almost childish replies (re-install software). Two requests for support never even received replies.

I bought this program hoping to set up recurring invoicing for clients, and found only after loading the program that it can't do recurring invoices. This was frustrating, and made the purchase a complete waste for me, so I sent a request to the company to add a recurring invoice feature. I received a response that the program only does recurring bill-paying (MiniQuicken), but not recurring invoicing (interpretation: live it with it)....

One more annoying feature - the product attempts to connect to the internet to verify addresses, when all you may want to do is preview an invoice. If you can't connect to the internet,you can't preview the invoice.
