Works well for me - but not really supported anymore
I have used this product for 3 years now. It worked well on Win NT and on Win 98SE. I upgraded to Win XP and it still works fine. It is functionally rich and I couldn't live without the form filling component. Don't expect much support from ScanSoft. They appear to have dropped this product from their roadmap and are now concentrating on others.

Doesn't work well with XP
Initially it works well with XP until about the 3rd consecutive scan.After that is jams the scan cue and eventually will hang.
My advice is to save your money if you have XP. Get a Hewlett Packard printer, which has a decent driver and an excellent user interface to merge files together into a single document. Then drag the files it into Adobe Acrobat.I have a lexmark X125, which has a very poorly designed user interface with very few options for scanning.

Don't Upgrade your OS to XP!
I have had Pagis and its upgrades for a number of years.After many problems such as described in the other negative reviews, I was reduced to mostly using it to scan text to file or as a copying function.I do prefer its copying function to that which comes with my scanner.I upgraded to XP and Pagis text scanning and copy function continued to work well until I bought a new scanner.When I experienced problems with my new scanner, I paid 9.75 to Scan Soft for email technical support and apparnetly I paid that to be told that Pagis is not compatible with XP.Evidently they have no intention of upgradng or solving this problem.I'm through with Scan Soft products!

Software great, BUT WYSIWYG
Don't expect much from scansoft in either updates or customer concern. I would'vepaidfor a new XP compatible upgrade. However Scansoft showed me no concern or regard for us ... who bought the original pagis and then the upgrade. I will do without an "easy" document handling solutionbefore I willdeal again with Scansoft Inc.

A fantastic program.
I've owned Pagis Pro Millenium for the past three years and found its ability to perform key word searches on saved Word documents invaluable.I maintained a folder with over 3,000 resumes in it and using this program, I was able to do key word searches to locate potential candidates for our clients.It would then rank the resumes by the number of hits.Thanks to Pagis Pro, we did not have to trouble our candidates with forms that attempted to key word their attributes.I was using both Windows 98 and Windows 2000 with HP Scanners and never had the problems that the other reviews profess. ... OCR OK!
As opposed to the previous reviewer, I have found the product excellent in both pure OCR and tabular data.Maybe my standards are lower, having graduated from a definite One-Star product, Caere's OmniPage Limited Edition that came packaged with my Canon scanner.

Don't waste your money.Nothing has changed!
Scansoft's promise of 99% accuracy is dead on if the only thing you want to scan is pure text.This product is garbage if you choose to scan tables.Oddly table and column recognition were supposed to be the most touted improvements.In my opinion, nothing has changed since Textbridge 98.The text recognition is excellent.But everything else is GARBAGE!Much as is my rating of this product!$372.99 of PURE GARBAGE. ...
