What a wonder!
If you've ever been told to use a humidifier, you know how many there are to chose from!I have tried about 10 over the past 10 winters!Until this one, all were noisey, got musty or I was unable to replace the filter becasue it had been discontinued!This one is so quiet, stays fresh and works magic on my allergies!The best is that the filters are easy to get and just come in one size!No more trying to remember the model number or anything!

Vornado Vortex Humidifier
I have owned many Vornado products in the past (and still have ALL of them). These folks make the very best air moving machines in the world.
The humidifier is silent and does several rooms with no problem. It is easy to fill and has not caused a great deal of white dust as my old humidifier did.
I am convinced that Vornado is a brand you can trust to deliver on any promises they make.
Very very satisfied with the product-and recommend it highly.

Good in use humidifier, filter won't last long.
Okay, this humidifier is good as all previous reviewer said.But one thing is deceptive about this humidifier.Manufacture claim that filter will sustain its use during 60 to 90 days.How come?I had my filter for 15 days and it begin to smell a little.Of course, you can use some water treatment solutions with your water and I guess this will prolong life of your humidifier to say 25 days.But I wouldn't imagine it last for more than 30 days.Of course, everyone has different water in their home, but it seems to me Manufacture used totally distilled without any impurities or mineral content water, in order, to claim one filter to work for a such long time.One more thing, if your house have some smells, they will somewhat diminish, but your filter will be smelling funny faster than usual.So, I think, in one sense, this filter acts as a cleaner of your surrounding air as well.In any case, I bought two of them (humidifiers) some extra filters and I am happy with it.

Good but not quiet
I bought two of these because the reviewers here gave it good marks and downplayed the noise it made.This product is easy to assemble and clean.Filling the water chamber is very easy compared to other humidifiers I have used.To me it is the best feature.My main gripe is with the noise it makes.First of all, the fan is not as quiet as I had hoped.There are three fan speeds, but the lowest speed is the only one that has an acceptable sound level at night.The higher two are only useful during the day when it can be drowned out by other household noises.To make matters worse, every 2 hours or so, this humidifier makes a series of loud GULPs as the water from the tank drains into the humidifier base.Based on the reviews I read here, I didn't think it would be a problem because I am a heavy sleeper, so I was suprised that the GULPing noise wakes me up at night.

This is a fine product for the daytime, but for nighttime/sleeptime, I wish I had purchased something else.

Good, but noisy
I researched for a long time before I purchased a humidifier for our bedroom.I chose the Vornado for its good reviews and well-known name.While the Vornado is quiet while spewing out the cool mist, it makes an INCREDIBLY LOUD KNOCKING SOUND many times (at least 4) during the average 8-hour night while the water gulps down from the water chamber into the body of the humidifier.IF YOU ARE a deep sleeper, or not bothered by loud knocking sounds, then this is the perfect humidifier for you.However, if you are a light sleeper, like I am, keep searching or wear ear plugs.I am literally woken up in my sleep by the knocking/gulping sound; my husband, who is a very sound sleeper, was awaken one night by the sound, got out of bed, and went to the door half asleep thinking that one of our children were knocking on it.On a positive note, the water chamber is easy to fill and replace, as are the wicks.All parts are very easy to clean.And it does "humidify" the room quite nicely.It is just very loud and I would not buy another Vornado for that reason alone. ... My Purchase of the Wesco Folding Cart
This cart is just what I needed to get all those packages from the car to the house without killing my back. It stores in a corner and is very easy to extend the handle when you use it.I attached a 20 gallon rubbermaid tub to it with bungee cords and it really holds alot of stuff. This cart is an excellent value and it is quality made.

Pretty good.
Handles the strain of 100lbs. of photo gear in off-road conditions pretty well. No complaints about capacity and ease of collapse/deploy. It is really light and surprisingly compact. I would suggest buying extra bungee cords if you are hauling a lot since the included one can only wrap so much. Wish I used this mop years ago
I love this mop. Don't bother using swiffers and knock offs. You are wasting your money for supplies. With this product when you are finishing mopping, throw it into your washing machine. It's easy to use on my tile floors in Florida and does a great job. Order extras for a backup.

Everything is true.This mop really changed my life!!!Very light, adjustable height, no backache.The cleaning is very efficient (it's amazing what this thing can pick up!), with no dust flying around.I use it dry on my hardwood floors: cleaning is better, easier, and quicker than with my vacuum cleaner.I also use it wet in the kitchen with detergent and find it much easier to use than my old mop + bucket set!

Great and ingenious ladder but very heavy
I received the Little Giant, Modell 22 Type 1A Fiberglass ladder recently and put it to work immediately. I am a homebuilder and liked the idea of carrying one ladder, especially for warranty and service work. The ladder is ingeniously designed, is very sturdy, and can be transformed to many needs.

Issues:
However, the fiberglass model should come with a lifetime membership to gym. It is so heavy it is hard to work with. One almost needs a helper to deal with the weight. Ironically the ladder is labeled as a "lite". I don't think I will be taking it into a customer's home without assistance. Secondly, the stablizer legs for unlevel ground will not work with the fiberglass model. This was a dissappointment since it makes it more difficult to use on unlevel ground.

When opening the ladder to its longest extension one must have room to work with a fully extended ladder. A typical extension ladder is extended to the desired working height while in a relatively upright (vertical) position. The LG has to be extended then raised from the ground. Recently I was trying to get into an attic access (scuttle hole)and this proved much more difficult with the LG than a typical extension ladder.

The ladder is strong and locks into position effectively. The work platform works very well although it is obviously designed for the aluminum versions. One feature I really like is the ability to keep one side of the ladder almost parallel to the wall. This allows one to get much closer to your work.

Overall I doubt I will use it much simply because of the weight issue. It is hard to get into and out of the truck and setting it up on hardwood floors would be a concern because of the weight issue. When maneuvering the ladder in tight quarters or in new home conditions the weight causes a real control concern. I don't want to lose control of it and break the china cabinet!

The ladder has its place. If I could do it again I would purchase the aluminum version in a shorter version. ... Read more

Good air filter -- I've used Holmes filter for 10-15 years
I bought my first Holmes HEPA air filtering machine more than a decade ago, and have been satisfied enough not to have bought any other brand since then, although I have had four Holmes air filter machines since then.

The first model I bought (I think it was the 220) is apparently discontinued, but it would be no exageration to call it a life-saver.I bought my first one because I lived in a house with a HEAVY chain smoker.Even though rated for only a single small room, that little sucker grabbed enormous amounts of smoke and the white paper on the filter blackened within weeks from particulate cancer-causing material which it saved me from inhaling.The next two filter machines I bought for a house which was infested with black mold.The one closest to the worst mold area blackened very quickly, while the second one, further from the mold, only grayed somewhat in the same time period -- the filter was very obviously cleaning potentially deadly black mold spores from the air.

The model I have now uses the HAPF30 replacement, and it is doing "light duty" compared to the first three I owned.I would have given this five stars except that I have the very distinct impression that this particular filter replacement is less efficient than the earlier ones I owned -- the filter has grayed with use, but I don't have the impression that the color change has been due entirely to grabbing airborne pollutants; I suspect (but don't have any evidence) that the filter is catching carbon which is being blown forward by the fan or else is catching dust which the negative ions generated by the machine itself have caused to fall.

Despite my suspicion that this is less efficient than earlier models, I still rate it four stars because I know that it is filtering SOMETHING out of the air, and I trust the Holmes brand -- they have earned my confidence through many years of arduous work.(I've never experienced any mechanical problems with one, either, until long, long after the warranty has expired.These things are real workhorses.)If the fans on the machines are kept to low settings they are fairly quiet, but at high speed they genrate quite a bit of noise, which can be a blessing in itself since the machine can act as a "white noise" generator to mask *noise* pollution, too. ...
