very low quality product
before i can actually burn on any of these cd-rw's i have to do about five "quick erases" on BOTH of my cd-roms (doesn't work if i try it even 20 times on just one cd-rom), before that - gives plenty of writing errors.. plus - half of the cd-roms i tried to use these cd's on refused to read them.. buy something else..

p.s. "is it live or is it memorex?" the label states.. it is dead and it is memorex..

not rewritable
These are the worst CD-RW discs on the market.They are NOT rewritable and should be sold as CD-Rs.Look elsewhere as in any where else for rewritable discs.

Your time is more valuable than money....
I have tried one hundred of these CD-RWs on three different burners (the first 50 were sent back to the manufacturer at my expense). The results are as follows: 70% will not complete the writing process. 10% completed the writing process but were illegible at a later use. 15% would not write a second time, and only 5% were reliable beyond 2 writes and multiple reads.

You might say "hey these are relatively inexpensive, so even if some don't work, I am still ahead of the game." The reality is these CD-RWs will be a big time sink for you. Your PC will stall and stammer, your drive will make strange noises, often for several minutes, as it attempts to read these CDs. Writing is even a bigger waste of time - you will be alerted there was an error in the writing process while 10 - 15 minutes into the process (being only 4X).

My advice is to buy the competitor's higher price version and save your TIME (and get value for your money).

PS: I see the price of the competitor's equilavent item is now lower than this brand, so choosing is a "no-brainer".

will not work
My computer is unable to read of burn theses disks in my CD-RW drive. Is it my computer or is it Memorex?

worst CD-RW ever !
I have been using these to backup data with a Roland VS-2400CD recorder which uses 1 to 4x media.

When it came time to restore the data, I found out that EVERY SINGLE DISC I HAD BACKED UP ON THIS MEDIA WAS UNREADABLE ! I have over 30 of them.

I tried them in the computer, with a Nero disc quality test, which came to 0. Surface scan showed between 10 and 30% defect accross all discs !

I also tried burning them on the computer, and the results were no better.

These are the discs made by InfoDisc . As mentioned in another review, they are the worst. Sure, you can write on them, but don't count on being able to read when you need to.

No one single good disk
I bought 10 pack 4X. No one disk works. At first I thought that it maybe my burner is not good. I tried several other burners. No one can burn such disks. Totally junk. I discarded all of them.

The worst midia I've ever bought
I can't understand how does Amazon still sell this product; I've bought it in Canada, and greatly regret!

Not for Audio CDs
I burned an Audio CD on this disc but could not play it on my music system! (works fine on a computer). I did not experience this problem with any other brands/models I'd used.

Do not buy this unless you have a burner that cannot burn faster than 4x, and unless you are going to use it only on a computer (and not any other CD players).

Bad product
Stay clear at all costs.Lots of bad stuff written about this media.Pity I didn't heed the advice.Bought two 5-packs a few years ago.My CD Writing program told me they were made by InfoDisc. Slowly but surely, one by one, the discs failed to be recognized as CDRW's by several CR Writers.Of course this means that they have been "demoted" to ... CD-R's, and from what I read, quite bad ones when it comes to data integrity. Two years on from my purchase, NONE of the 10 discs can be used as CD-RW's anymore. Shame on you Memorex.

Seems reliable and easy to use, has decent speed
I bought these because they had "high speed" written on them, but I wasn't sure whether these actually perform at the same speed as the ones that don't have "high speed" written on them.The disc performs really well on my Sony CD-RW.The one gripe I have is that it says that it goes up to 10x, but my CD-RW should be able to do 32x.I couldn't find any media that get even near the 32x speed my writer supports.

The thing I love about the CD-RW media is that its so easy to use, is very universal, and is cheaper than alternatives if you want to back something up or keep files on some media that you transfer around alot.

I plan to use it for taking my work with me if I use another workstation (the alternative is upload/downloading constantly from the internet, yuck), as well as using these as a backup for my computer's files.

The Memorex 3202 3417 works perfectly on Plexwriter 48/24/48
I've tried a lot of CDs and found you must use the exact speed rated disc for most drives to get reliable results. Despite that these Memorex CD-RW discs work better in my drive than other brands or speeds or even CD-R's. It sucks that the CD Drive Industry has misrepresented drive speeds and disc compatibility to the point where half the disc you buy don't work reliably in a drive. Ordering more of these Memorex right now !

Won't work with Philips Jackrabbit CD-Rewriter
I tried using these CD's with the Philips Jackrabbit CD-Rewriter and they don't work.

Fast write, slow read
These worked well for my cd-r drive which is a 12x10x32 Lite-on.Mine burns cd-rw @ 10x and it works at that speed.Pretty good!Of course, almost all cd-rw disks read at much slower speeds than cdr disks.Most of the time cd-rw read at 8x (depending on your drive).Most cd-rw drives do not specify the speed at which it reads cd-rw, if your doesn't, it's probably reading cd-rw's @ 8x.These memorex disks are the first CD-RW disks with both, 700MB capacity AND high speed 4-12X.If you have a drive that supports higher than 12x, you should purchase memorex's "Ultra high speed" cd-rw which allow writing @ 12-24X.They come in red box instead of blue.

Don't waste your money on these CD-RW discs.They don't work on all high speed labeled CD-RW drives.Won't work on (name brand) Creative Labs high speed CD-RW drive.Works some on NEC drive, but if you record music on them they "lock up" and and won't allow you to re-write the disk again, it just shows disk error when you try to erase it.I have had no problems with other brands of high speed CD-RW media from Yamaha or Imation. ... Horrible trash
Occasionally they work.Sometimes my Yamaha CDRW drive will recognize them, sometimes not at all. Sometimes the DVD drive will recognize them, sometimes not at all. Lots of problems with reading them after they've been written to.If my drive can't recognize them, I can't rewrite them. These are worthless.

I'm sorry, but I've had lots of trouble. Three of the disks were unusable (couldn't be formatted). Two others have gone bad within two weeks of my starting to use them: I used them as backup disks for only about 5 minutes a day; suddenly they refused to accept any more data, even though only 25% of the disk space was used.
