5-0 out of 5 stars Great Bones
This is a one of the best cases you can buy, the fact that is generally less than $50 makes it a steal. The case is stout and large enough to work in. The removable Floppy and Hard Drive bays make assembling the system easy. It doesn't come with a power supply but then most cases (except for Antec cases with PSUs) come with cheap power supplies that are either loud, unstable or both. The included 120mm fan has three speeds and is silent on the lowest speed and tolerable on the highest. Add in the additional 120mm front fan mount, air filter and rubber Hard Drive mounts and you have a case that can be cool and quite. My system is nearly silent with this case unlike the old one.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best cases I've ever had!
I just received my Antec SLK3000-B case and, while I haven't assembled my system yet, I'm quite impressed and ready to get started! Construction for the most part is outstanding. The case is one of the easiest I've owned to get into. Unscrew two thumbscrews on the back, click two buttons on the side and pull the side panel away. The inside is roomy and the floppy and hard disk bays are very easy to remove for installation of hardware. When out of the case, they give you more open space when connecting your motherboard. My only other observation on the inside concerns the 2nd shroud that directs air towards the processor. The shroud attached to the side panel is a good quality plastic - it looks and feels sturdy. However, the second shroud (with the flared end) that fits over it is flimsy plastic. I'm thinking it may need a little duct tape to ensure it stays firmly in place. Otherwise, this is one heavy steel case considering it doesn't contain a power supply yet. The lack of a PSU was the reason I purchased this case and I wish there was a larger selection of cases w/out PSUs. I am picky about the PSU I use and generally have to buy a case with PSU and then immediately replace it with the PSU of my choice. Seems a waste of money to have to pay for something you're just going to replace! Overall, I am completely happy with this case and I highly recommend it. While it may not be on the cutting edge of style, you get a sturdy case and can save a bundle of money which you can spend better parts to go into it! Ordering from Amazon.com rather than one of the large online computer parts stores saves you even more money - they charge around $15.00 for shipping while Amazon.com ships it free via FedEx Ground. I had it 3 days after it was shipped so unless you're in a big hurry, don't bother with the more expensive 2nd day or next day delivery. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Not Quite Perfect, but Extremely Close
My former case had four lighted 80mm case fans, a clear side panel, a front bezel with more lights, and a gumball machine quality power supply that came with it. I was tired of the flashy look and the power supply was beginning to fail, so I decided it was time for a new case.

I chose the Antec Sonata because I wanted a quieter computer. At its current price, this case is worth it for the power supply alone, which is a special quiet version of Antec's Truepower and isn't sold separately.

When I got the case, it was all that I had expected and then some.

The first thing I noticed was the looks. This is a very nice looking, understated yet elegant case. The paint is excellent, like a new car (you have to buff any fingerprints off in the same way). The drive cover gives a sleek look, and is removeable if you want quick access to your drives. I didn't like the front LED lights, but you can disable them by just not plugging in the ATX power connector that comes from the front. My front ports were USB 2.0, but if for some reason you get 1.1, Antec will replace them for free.

I was also pleasantly surprised to find a built in removable, washable air filter under the front intake. This was a great addition, as I usually add my own filter material in order to keep the case relatively dust free.

One aesthetic detail I did not like was the locks on the front and side, these are silver and detract from the look of the black case, while serving no purpose for most home users.

A bigger issue with the case are the "bullet holes" spelling antec on each side of the case. Here we have what is sold as a quiet PC, with huge holes punched in the side which will let out sound and let in dust. Presumably they are for venting, but I think the designers could have found a better way which did not detract from the otherwise sleek look of the case. I ended up covering them with some filter material, to still allow venting but prevent any dust from entering the case.

The case is easy to open, with two thumbscrews and a simple latch. Inside is 1 Antec 120mm fan, placed in exhaust position with rubber strips in place of screws to dampen the sound produced by the fan. When I first plugged in the fan I was disappointed by the sound of it, but after I plugged it into the "fan only" connectors on the powersupply, it was whisper quiet. The fan on the power supply is even quieter; I couldn't tell if it was on or not the first couple of times.

When it came to installing The drives, I was very happy with the clever design of the 5.25" bays. Each bay has an easily removable cover with two drive rails on the back. Just screw the drive rails to the drive and slide it in. The exterior 3.5" bays were fairly convenient as well: slide out a solid 2 bay face and then screw the drive into the top or bottom.

The interior 3.5" (hard drive) bays are unique. They are rotated 90 degrees, so that either the connector side or the front of the drive faces you as you are looking into the case. This is an unusual choice, but seems like a great idea for easy connection. These bays have slide out tabs, which are a great idea as well. They also have rubber washers on each screw hole, to reduce the vibration produced by the drives.I found myself very frustrated with the internal bays at first. The problem is that the standard cables shipped with most IDE hard drives are 18 inches long. It was not possible to connect two IDE drives (one master, one slave) to one slot on my motherboard.I ended up having toseparate the drives.

A simple solution would be to buy longer cables, but the average user is just going to want to use the cable that came with their hard drive. This probably doesn't apply to SATA drives either.

A lot of users think the other side of the case should open, but really there is no need for that with the tool free external drive insertion and rotated internal bays. A removeable motherboard tray would also have been nice, but would have meant a higher price, and isn't that big of an issue to me.

Once I got it set up, everything was quiet except for the fan on my processor, which was formerly the quietest fan in the case. I am going to replace that, and should have a whisper quiet PC as soon as I do.

An added bonus is that once I added an additional 120mm fan to the system, I dropped my average CPU temperature by about 8 degrees Celsius, which is an amazing change.

Overall this is a great case that does a lot of things right, but I just can't give it 5 stars due mostly to the bullet holes on the side and the rotated drive bays. Neither of these is a deal breaker, and I would highly recommend this case to anyone who wants a quieter PC.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good while it works
The case started off well enough - installing the system parts was neither easier nor more difficult than average. At first, despite having more fans than my previous system it genuinely was more silent. But things went downhill fast - the construction of the case is flimsy at best, meaning that it starts to come apart as the screws loosen and everything shakes and rattles - it is like having a jet engine next to my head.It is now far louder than my older system!I tighten the screws regularly, but this only provides temporary relief as they unloosen quickly.Poorly made.

In the end a very disappointing purchase - a waste of money, since the only thing to justify the extra expense was its alleged 'silent' operation.I would have been better served by any bargain basement case at a fraction of the price.

3-0 out of 5 stars good case, but not perfect...
i bought this case along with a MSI K8N Neo platinum motherboard to build my first homemade pc.individually, they're both great products.but together, they have created some incompatibility issues.

first, Antec case comes with two USB front panel jack. But the USB header connector inside the case isn't compatible with the USB header located on the MSI motherboard.Namely, pin 10 (ground) on the Antec usb connector is not empty, it has a thin black wire in it. While the pin10 of the D-bracket USB header comes with MSI motherboard is empty. So the front USB port doesn't work.I called Antec tech support and it seems that they are aware of this issue. They agreed to send me another USB board to be compatible with the motherboard.

second, the lower 5.25 inch drive bay on Antec is pretty much useless for MSI motherboard.i tried to fit my cd-writer into that bay, but it won't go all the way in because it's pushed against the DIMM memory slot on the motherboard.I don't know which manufacture is at fault here, MSI or Antec, since both claim to be ATX standard...

4-0 out of 5 stars Not Perfect
Although this case has a lot of nice features, there are two things that I'm unhappy about.
1. There are little nobs sticking out inside the back of the case to stablize the pci cards, but the width is too narrow for some of my pci cards. Some of my pci cards barely fit while others just don't fit at all.I'd either have to cut them off or grind them off a little to make more room. That's a pain in the neck.
2.It's not as quiet as I imagined. The fan opening on the back of the case is so big that all the noise seems to come out of there.

I've already built my computer in this case, so I probably won't return it, but I'm not sure if this is worth $100.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hands-down - the best case out there
Believe me, I've used a wide range of ATX cases. This case is by FAR and beyond the best case out there for the money spent. True, it is a bit pricey, but you pay for what you get. Everything from the way the drives install into the bays, the touch and feel of the case, the blue light with front usb ports, a door that covers the drives and power button, the SOLID construction of the case - opposite of cheap 30 dollar cases from Frys, and MOST importantly, the way the case SEALS sound from coming out - whew, it blows me away. The black finish on the case is also very sexy. My girlfriend who is non tech savvy even says, "Wooo, that's a sexy case." HIGHLY recommended. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Bargain in Aluminum
I bought this case for a new build. The ASUS A8N Deluxe ATX Mobo fit perfectly. The cables ARE labeled (read the cable sheath).Plenty of room, mostly tool-less build.Installed an Antec NeoPower 480 and a front 120 fan to go with the rear 120.Antec's online help sent a 3-point pwr led plug to replace the 2-point that comes on it.No problems.Fit, finish, and quality, room, cooling are all you could ask for in a $100-$120 aluminum case.Ports, looks, and amenities abound.

1-0 out of 5 stars Does not fit
Although my mobo is standard atx, the mobo tray does not fit it. The screw holes are in the same design and shape but are too far to the left to fit.

1-0 out of 5 stars Case wiring is Junk
There is no doubt that this Antec P160 case is very well engineered. But the plugs for the front USB and 1394 (firewire) are not identified. Calling and writing e-mail to tech support does nothing - they dont reply. Its buyer figure this out on your own or do without. Even their FAQ area doesnt explain things. They use wire colors that are not present in the case. I talked to a computer builder in an effort to get help (which they couldnt give) and they said that they will not order this case again.

5-0 out of 5 stars go ahead and try...
Just try to make your Mac-using friends jealous, bycramming all your PC hoopty-joo gadgetry into this box. It will look sexy, but it still won't be a Mac. If customizing your PC's innards and tweaking every interface for weeks of sleepless nights is more important than using the best OS in the world (Mac OS, of course), then by all means, this is one sexy case... much better than plastic, and sweet on industrial art design. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Looks Pretty
Let me get right to it. This case looks real pretty and it is real quiet. For that I give it high marks. But the interior is a different matter altogether. There is little room to manuever inside. Everything is a tight fit. Also the power supply is in the front of the case. Using this layout I was UNABLE TO use the raid feature of my motherboard because the POWER SUPPLY IS IN THE WAY!!! BUT MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT IS THE LACK OF DECENT DOCUMENTATION!!!! HELLO ANTEC WE NEED TO NOW HOW THINGS ARE CONNECTED TO THE MOTHERBOARD!!!!!! The documentation that was provided showed a diagram that was unreadable. Unfortunately going to their website is NO HELP!!! Overall I would give this case a grade of D.

3-0 out of 5 stars Very Quiet but....
If you have a video card with a power plug on the side, like the GeForce FX-5200, avoid this case, there is not enough room between the card edge and the top to plug it in.Overall it is a nice case.Having only 2 5.25 inch drive bays really sucks but what can you expect in a desktop style case?I bought this originally for my regular desktop PC but the video card issue made me go back and buy the tower version.I now use it as a Linux media center with a non external powered video card and it works great.

2-0 out of 5 stars What's with the picture of a different case
The picture of the open case could not possibly be this case. What is going on???????

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for home theater
Just got it today and set everything up.The case is super quiet and the blue LED up front is a nice touch. If you are looking for an aesthetically pleasing csae for your living room or family room and want it to blend seamlessly with your other furniture and not stick out like a sore thumb, this is definitely the case for you.The piano black finish matches the rest of my electronic goodies and looks pretty sharp!

Setup was easy.I was essentially just transferring everything over from another case (also by Antec, the Aria...wonderful case also but a little to cramped to work in but looks great). The only real complaint I have, and actually it isn't really a complaint, is that the front mounted IEEE 1394 connector might just be a hair short.I am using a Micro ATX Mobo and the connecting cord BARELY reaches. With a standard ATX board...I don't know if it would make it or not (I have a Foxxconn Mobo and the 1394 connector is in an awkward spot). The front USB and front audio connectors reached with room to spare, however and there really was no maneuverability problems inside the case. The hard drive cage is removable and even has rubber grommets where you attach the drives to dampen some of the noise.Their is a 92mm exhaust fan directly behind the HDD cage and also a 80mm fan on the front right. On the front left is the power supply which would seem to be in an awkward place but works perfectly and is super quiet!

Once everything was assembled, it was noticeably quieter than the Antec Aria and I think it looks fabulous.Well worth the money, and Amazon has it the cheapest anywhere!Go to COMPUSA and look at it and open it then come back to Amazon and order it here.

***EDIT***11/16/04The above reviewer refers to the fact that Amazon.com had the wrong pictures of the interior but have since been removed. He neglected to mention if he or she even bought it or not!The other two pictures of the case with the television above it is from my own home setup in my living room.Take it from me, a very satisfied customer, this is an awesome product.Pay no attention to the above review since all he wanted to do was bring down the rating of this outstanding product.Repeat: 5 stars. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Case
This is an incredible deal - great case - easy to work with and the price is unbelievable with free delivery!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best case for the money
I did not buy my case from Amazon(more's the pity, could have savedsome cash). This is an excellent case however. Well made, well designed and attractive. I especially like the door that covers the drive bays. Please note that the front USB ports wiring have 10 separate leads(a pain for my short fat fingers). For an excellent case at a reasonable price, I don't think you can go wrong. If you do buy the case be sure to order two 80MM fans at the same time. No fans in the case.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very high quality case
I was very impressed with the quality. It has a sturdy steel frame, beautiful metallic finish, and all the bells and whistles that make installing components easy.
One note on the finish - it says bronze but it is really a nice gun metal silver/metallic, very attractive. I was afraid of the "bronze" color but once I got the case I love the finish.
I had purchased a PowerMax case from another site but when it arrived it had a big dent in the top from shipping. The case was the normal flimsy thin metal not like the thicker steel of the Antec case. I sent the PowerMax case back and ordered the Antec case. I am very pleased. You can tell the difference in quality.
I have not installed all my components yet but I am looking forward to the quietness of this case that other reviewers have mentioned. I have two stealth 80mm fans to install - that combined with the quiet power supply should keep down on the noise.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Case.Great Price.
You can't beat this case. Its perfect for your basic machine.Only downside is that it does not come with a case fan.Good construction.Everything always fits super nice.5.25 drives attach using a fantastic method requiring only one screw. If you want more in a case go to the Sonata. And of course Amazon gives you free shipping on this beauty which is hard to come by on cases.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent case, nice bang for the buck!
Excellent case in my opinion. I especially like its fairly small size, as a lot of server class cases are just too big and awkward for daily use. I added two 80mm fans, one in front and one in the back for some extra cooling, works excellent at cooling the hard drive which heated up quiet a bit without the fans.
Although the color is not black it still looks great and has a nice finish to it. Few things i I found a little odd were lack of support for some motherboard scrwes on my ATX Abit BH-7, and also to connect the front USB there isn't a standard plug but about 5 individual pins which I had to connect one by one for each one of the 2 front USB plugs.
Still overall this case looks great has a nice power supply which doesn't make too much noise, and has enough room to acomplish any day to day tasks. ... Read more

I've had my CM Stacker for about 2 months now and it is great. The instructions aren't the best and the type is very small.CoolerMaster has listened to the feedback from other reviews and has added casters to this package. The assembly is straight forward and you will have all of the hardware you need plus some.It took me about 2 hours to prepare the case, install the motherboard, 2GB RAM, 4 HD's (2 in HD coolers), floppy drive (yeah I still like to have it but I put it at the bottom), 2 DVD burners, and my CoolerMaster power supply with the front mounted meter. The case comes with 2 120mm fans that are super quiet and 1 80mm fan that blows through the top.I added the optional crossflow fan and 1 80mm fan on the side panel. The front and side panel have filters that will need to be vacuumed from time to time. The case comes with a HD bay that can hold 4 HD's and has 1 of the 120mm fans attached to the front. This case uses a rail system that works very well and you DO NOT have to screw the rails on.You can screw the hardware in after you slide it into the case and they provide all the screws you will need for that if you choose this option.I was going to do that but the fit is tight and secure. To remove any of the hardware you remove the sides, pop the clips, and slide it out.Overall, this is an awesome case that you can roll around when needed and it is super, super quiet. This is not an aluminum case. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars best microATX case
Don't worry about heat. With a all time 50% cpu load the cpu and motherboard increased only 10 degrees each without cyclone blower. The design inside of this is most unusual. With 3 hd and one cd drive in bay, it will take some planning and practice to finally hook up power cables and controllers without blowing your stack, very compact. And when booting up you discover you need to go inside a few more times you won't find it to be much fun. The case comes with many extra cables that take advantage of features on motherboard, pretty exciting, have a few more to try out, one is a fancy audio header. Installing the cards is more trouble than standard cases but also better, warped cards don't do well. Taking out the power fan noise is a big improvement, now I can hear the TV and radio, but a stock Intel cpu fan is to blame for the rest. The usb ports and card reader in front actually work no problem on a Asus TUSI-M motherboad. There is also room on pci slots for 3 cards and the cyclone blower on top. With 3 hd's pci slot #3 must use a half size card or the side hd will hit it. It took 5 hours and 15 minutes to transfer old into new, with only one cut and one dead video card. There are no quality control problems with this. It is running a pentium III 1.2ghz (107 degrees) The Asus is 113 degrees, and without the low speed cyclone blower, and the drive bay is maxed out, and 3 card slots full. Once again you will be quite surprised with the design inventions in this and very high quality, but the manual has poor information/ instructions, but good english.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Case... minor limitations...
I really like this case. The only real downside is that it is limited as far as cooling is concerned. In SO MANY other ways it is almost limitless, especially when compared to other cube cases. This is the ONLY CASE of this type that you can completely customize yourself! That has to count for something! Anyhow, customizability comes at a cost. The way standard mATX motherboards are designed causes the cooling problem. The CPU sits partially under the PSU (an unheard of full 300w one). This could be fixed with a custom motherboard for the case, but then the whole customizability bonus is out the window and you have a pre-built shuttle box.

You can fit pretty freakin' large heatsink in this baby. I am using a Thermalright AX7 which measures 80mm tall including the 25mm tall fan... its on the large side. The fan just touches the PSU on the side. I am able to remove it and reinstall without taking the motherboard out of the case btw. Many other quality heatsinks can fit in here and still have a good 10mm clearance with a full 25mm tall fan.

The case could cool a little better with some type of an intake fan, but when it was made, they made a choice to make it a quiet pc case, not a case made for overclocking. Even with great flow, how great can the cooling be in one of these cases be anyway? Geez... Oh well, anyhow, it is very very quiet. I really love the 120mm fan in the PS. The slot fan that's included probably isn't doing much, but it can't hurt.

It really is almost unbelievable that this thing can have three hard drives! I even had three in it at first because I had two that needed data taken off of the two extra, and it worked quite nicely. I don't know why anyone would permanently need more than one but... who knows. The front faceplate covering the optical drive is quite nice. I was glad to not have to buy another drive and instead use my current beige one.

What else haven't I mentioned? Well I didn't know that it had two front blue LEDs until I plugged it in. They're pretty neat, and if you don't like them, you can choose not to plug in the molex cable that is giving them power. Also, not many mATX boards will have the correct headers to power the card reader, both USB connectors (three USB headers needed in total) and firewire. That's something to think about when selecting your board.

Taking the case apart is also really easy. I've taken this thing apart so many times its not funny. All you need to do is remove one thumb screw that keeps the top in, slide the top back and up to come off, then press a tab on the side and push the side panel forward to come off (repeat on other side). The cage holding the optical drive and hard drive flips up and lifts out easily. You can even take it out and set it on top of the back of the case without removing any of the IDE or molex connectors (I just did this earlier today when I removed and replaced my heatsink).

Overall I really love this case. I would give it a 4.5 if I could. The ony bad part really is the cooling, but I would rather have a quiet pc running at these temps than a louder one. Oh, and the side panels seem to get scuffed easily, but they all seem to wipe off, no real harm done.

Also, let me say that most AMD processors aren't in trouble until they reach 80C, 60C really isn't anything to worry about. Stock computers with cheap coolers aren't cooling any better...

1-0 out of 5 stars Looks great, but too much heat to actually use
I got this case for a HTPC setup because it looked great, and because I thought I could deal with surely minor cooling issues. I've owned SFF pc's in the past, and thought that anything that could fit an mATX board would probably be better than most. Unfortunately, with an AMD Athlon 2200 running stock, the idle temps alone varied between 61 and 68C! The same board and CPU holds at 39C in a mid-tower case. Under load, it was just too unstable to use. The power supply issues that others mentioned are the main culprit... there is less than 70mm of clearence, forcing the use of a low-profile heatsink and fan. If Antec had just made the case 10mm higher, it would've opened up a world of cooling opportunities.

Quite a dissappointment. I had thought that Antec was a good brand to get, but I don't see how they could release a product with such problems.

2-0 out of 5 stars cooling issues
There is no room for a desent CPU cooler because the PSU is overtop of the CPU. Fast systems will become unstable and very hot. I expected better from antec.

3-0 out of 5 stars nice case but QC is lacking
This is a fairly nice miniATX case but QC seems to be lacking. Reviews elsewhere mentioned QC issues, particurally with screws being stripped.
3 of the 4 expansion card cover screws on my case werestripped. Other issues are the total lack of any cable management inside the case. This is advertised as "quiet". It is no more quiet than my Antec tower. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Damaged By UPS
Antec PlusView1000AMG Metallic Gray SOHO File Server is one of the best cases with lots of room for major upgrades. Do not have this Product shipped UPS Ground due to the fact mine was so damaged it didn't even look like a computer case. make sure you have it shipped 2day air or express

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Case!!!
I must say I read the first reviewer's notes about this case prior to buying it and I was a bit concerned about the quality. I don't know what exactly one should expect for the quality of a computer case, but I'm very impressed after seeing it. Yes the case is heavier that the cheap cases we see everywhere. I think this is pretty normal because it's a full tower and it has a big metal skelaton. I agree that this might not be the perfect fit for a gamer who goes to LAN parties all the time.

If you need a cool looking case and you want to fit in many devices while keeping the temperature low, this is the case for you. I put in a power supply, the motherboard, 5 hard drives, 1 cd writer, 1 floppy and 3 fans (2 is included with the case). None of them is getting in the way of the other. The air circulation inside is much better than a normal computer case...

5-0 out of 5 stars Great case for the money and a normal person
I disagree with the reviewer who only rated this three stars.I have had this case for a few months now and I love it. I also bought it here because of the price. It is very roomy inside the case and very easy to work in.Also, I like the fact that it pre-modded with a window, and the silver color is attractive. Also it's not THAT easy to dent. Through normal use there will be no damage to the case. I move it around quite a bit also with no problems other than the weight...my doors match perfectly to the metal. The keyhole style is the same keyhole style on millions of other cases, cheap and expensive. What is the problem with it?

The only thing wrong with this is the weight - it weighs almost as much as my ViewSonic 21" monitor. I'm going to add a case handle for easier handling. However, I wouldn't recommend it to people who go to lan parties because of the weight. Also, why would you want a server case for a lan party anyway? That is what the smaller cases are for.

Overall, I love the case.If someone gets to the point of worrying about the plastic not being the same Pantone color as the metal (which it is the same color) and worrying about the way the keyhole looks, then it is time to forget about off-the-shelf models and mod one to your specs. That's what Ace Hardware and Lowe's are for right?

3-0 out of 5 stars Overall Good Quality Case
This is the PLusView1000AMG.The manufacturing quality could have been better. There are a lot of companies that support the PC industry, but only a few can suprisingly offer an elegant design with simple colors and classic lines.

I have been eyeing on this case for a long time and when they came out with the clear window design, I finally decided to get it. I've been looking at the case online and in local stores. Amazon gave the best price.

Now that I have it for closer scrutiny, it's not as great as I remember seeing it.It's basically the same type of PC case design offered for decades - metal sheets painted in different colors - in this case, metallic gray. The front bezel (matte paint) does not properly match the body (metallic, shiny). It's not a big problem though. The power button is shiny plastic. This and the generic case locks (which I insist Antec should have created their own design) are what give the case accents.

The internal parts are of better quality. The purple fan holders are of top make. They should have maintained that build quality on the external aspect. The 2xUSB and 1xFirewire ports on the front are a nice feature. It comes with two assembled fans for the rear.

Antec missed out on supplying thumb screws, which they sell as an after-market purchase.

I have to note that the case is very heavy.Though the weight does not completely absorb vibrations from the spinning components - fans, hard drive, media drives.

Overall, the price does justify the design and quality. But if you were to spend on a more expensive case, get those aluminum cases like Lian-Li which has clean lines and smooth manufacturing.

Get this if you need a full tower case with lots of internal space for drives, fans and airflow support.Either way, you won't make a mistake with the reasonable price. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars No Sharp Edges
I did a lot of research on cases and found this company to have a great service and warranty record as well as a great product.

This item is available in Beige from Antec but I was not able to locate one elsewhere and settled for the grey/black one here at Amazon. I love the interior and the exterior of this case in that there are no sharp corners or edges anywhere. The case was clean and it was supplied with all the needed components including a manual, 4 keys, nuts and bolts bag, spare mobo stand-offs and a name plate "Antec" if you wanted to place it on the front. The 400 watt power supply is plenty for most SOHO. 2 Fans are included in the rear panel and I noticed Antec offers upgraded fans on their website. I would have asked for their thermostat designed case fans but it is not offered on a new case purchase. I will place the included fans up front, and purchase thermostatic fans in the rear for starters. Probably in the near future, Antec will change out the power supply exhaust fans to the newer trend of a single 12CM or even the 14CM thermostatic fan design. They move more air with less noise which assists blowing out any heat below the power supply. I love this case completely. When Windows XP is running and you want to turn off the computer, this power supply (I presume) first will log out of Windows XP and automatically shuts down then, turns off the power. Just as if you were there doing Start/Turn Off Computer/Turn Off. This is not in the instruction book but it does do this.

Thanks to Amazon needs mentioned too as I would have paid more for this item any place else as currently this item ships for $15 and Amazons price with shipping beat all of the others.

5-0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for

I bought one of these cases and had intended to make a server out of it. After setting it up in my living room, I liked how quiet it was compared to my older system. With that in mind, I decided to keep it where it was and buy another case to become the server.

This is a stylish case with good functionality. It comes with 10 bays. (4) 5.25in. bays and (6) 3.5in bays. There is a flip-up panel in the front with two USB ports and a FireWire connection, if your motherboard has the capability to use them. There are also the usual suite of LED lights on the front, with two extra lights for multiple hard drives.

The Antec 400 watt power supply is enough to meet most power needs and it runs fairly quiet for having two fans. The case itself is not that loud considering it has two fans of it's own in the rear, with mounts for two more in the front. I added two fans for hard drive cooling on the server and it isn't so quiet anymore. (The price you pay for cool)

The two hard cages are easy to remove. Pull a latch back and then pull the drive bays out. Simple as that. The 5.25" drive bays use rails that screw onto the drives then click into the case. The 3.25" drives use screws that mount into the drive cages. One of these cages has a fan mount for hard drive cooling. Since I was running a 4 drive RAID, I wanted all four drives cooled. I was able to swap the fan mount drive cage form my other case and move my floppy to a 5.25" slot. For others who want to cool both HDD cages you may have to order a cage from Antec or use a couple 5.25" slots with HDD coolers.

The case is a few bucks more than the standard no-name computer show fare, but you know where the money went when you start working with it. There is plenty of room to work in. (Supports full ATX boards) You get four 80mm fans between the case and the power supply. Ten drive bays allow for a good amount of expansion in your system. Four hundered watts of juice and a good style points are the final bonus touches to make this case a worthy investment. I have a feeling this case will outlive a couple motherboards for me. We'll see.

4-0 out of 5 stars A black shark in the blue waters
I took one look at this case on thermaltakes web site and decided I had to have it.I used the case to upgrade one of my existing computers and here are my thoughts:

Pros -
1.Removable mother board tray.Release two thumb screws and its out.
2.5 individual hard drive trays that install at 90 degrees. No bulky hard drive cages to deal with.Snap in and out easily.Anti-shock mounting screws for each hard drive.
3.Floppy enclosure removes out the front of the case.Holds two 3.5 devices.
4.Hard drive rails included and can be found mounted to the back side of each 5.25 bay cover.
5.Plenty of hardware to mount your stuff.
6.Oversized fan in back!Very cool and blue.
7.Black aluminum but very light.
8.Easy to open.Secures with lock.
9.Compatible with water cooling systems.
10.Processor temperature ran very cool compared to old case

CONS-
1.Front panel cabling routed in such a way that two bottom hard drive trays would not install when drives where attached.Had to reroute front panel cabling. Not difficult but annoying.
2.No instructions included. The screws used to mount the hard drives are not the same due to the anti-shock feature and anyone not familiar with this type of feature might use the wrong screws to mount the hard drives.

I'd give this case 5 stars but for the last two items.Minor details that are easily overcome.I am looking to buy 2 more of these cases and upgrading all my towers.

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE THIS CASE!!!!!!!!!!!
I just built my second computer and decided to go with this case. Let me tell you," It's NICE." It's a full tower. I did not realize how tall it was and it would not fit under my desk until I took the feet off the bottem of the case,it fits like a charm. Everything runs cool with the extra space inside and it looks cool at night or when the lights are off too!
If you're considering this case get it you wont be disappointed.
PS; It's water-cooled compatible also! ... Read more
