Worked like everything should work - right the 1st time

That's what I got with this card.

Works Great!
Not much to say. Plugged it in, computer found it immediately, and Windows 98SE loaded the drivers.Five minutes tops.I now have an old Pentium 1 that is working great with the latest USB devices.I wish everything worked like this, just as advertised!

Pretty unbeatable for the price, and works with linux.
I have a pair of older macs here, a 9500 and an 8500. I installed this card in both machines. The card ran in MacOS 9, after using Apple's USB updater, which is available from their support/downloads site (for free of course). I also used this card with very good success in linux (no modules or kernel recompiles necessary in fact). One drawback is the card was not recognized by Mac OS X. However, with these older machines, Linux is a much better choice anyways.

Highly recommended at the price...

I only use it for one thing, but hey, It worked.
Mind you, I haven't tried this with 3000 different USB products but I bought it with a Digital camera so I could use the USB port to get my pictures.

I got the card, turned off my computer, and put it into the PCI slot and screwed it in. I turned my computer on, it found and installed the USB card. I plugged in the camera's cord and plugged the cord into the camera. It recognized it and installed it. It's working perfectally.

What more can I say, It works just like any other USB port that I've used and I haven't had any problems with it. So if you need a USB port in your computer because it's old and doesnt have them, this here is your product. ... Read more

Easy to Use and SO helpful
My computer has only one USB port and I was forever switching out peripherals...really frustrating.

Then I spotted this USB 7-Port Busstation, bought it and have never had to switch anything again.Absolutely trouble-free (just be sure to keep all your connections one after another...if you have a gap, anything after the gap won't function)Right now, I have 2 printers, a scanner, a DVD external recorder, video camera and card reading device...all connected thru the hub and all working perfectly.

Great Flexability, Not so Great Price
I bought the Belkin 7-Port USB Busstation Modular Hub because I was in need of a great number of USB ports for a server of mine.While the price was a bit outrageous origionally, I happened to find it on clearence and scooped it up.

It works very well, looks pretty nice, and having the flexability of the different modules Belkin makes could be handy.

A great USB 1.1 Hub for [the money], but not for [more], considering the cost of the additional modules.

Poorly written drivers & no Mac support
I have had this USB tower for 3 years and still have not been able to get it to work correctly with my computer.Don't by Belkin adapters if you are a Mac user.Belkin's drivers don't work properly with Apple software, they prevent the startup of your computer if you have them plugged in & they conflict with other drivers.Belkin has never updated their drivers for Mac computers so they actually work properly. I have wasted $$$ buying the tower, a serial adapter & a SCSI adapter, none of which work properly.My older Keyspan serial adapter works much better.I have complained numerous times, but Belkin doesn't respond to any customer complaints/feedback.

How many of you own more than 4 USB devices on one computer?Even if you have 3 USB devices, you are probably about to trash that little 4-port USB hub you just bought.That's where this 7-port USB hub comes in.

Chic, and usable with Windows, but unstackable
The USB pocket hub is an interesting kinda "halfway" device.It's really meant for use with PowerBooks (and, though the product information listed here doesn't say so, Windows-based notebooks as well), but connecting more devices to the hub makes a PowerBook inherently less portable.I'm not sure how much of a market there really is for a portable USB hub, but if there is one, this device is about as portable as you can get.You can easily slip it into your pocket if you need to go a-wanderin'.And it can be powered by the included, not-so-lightweight AC adapter if you need to connect more power hungry devices, like scanners and printers.

Still, I can't help thinking that it will be bought more by desktop owners than PowerBook fans, simply because hubs are by their nature more suited for use with bigger, more `anchored' machines.To that extent, it's an elegant addition, because the included color sleeves make it possible to match with most colors of machine.The drawback is if you have a LOT of USB devices to attach.It's not really meant to be stackable, and you might find it awkward to have more than two of these attached to your machine.But I'd say if you have less than 9 devices, this is a graceful, fully-functional way to go. ...
