What the packaging does not tell you ...
I found this program in the Palm area of my local electronics store and was excited to install the games onto my pocket PC. According to the packaging, there are 202 games to chose from for all different skill levels including a huge variation of everything from simple card games to more complicated strategy games.

What you are not told - after spending your hard earned money, open and install the software, you find out that it is nothing more than a listing of a few "free" games that work for just a set period of time and most of the games you can install from this software you can pay to play - yes pay to play. You have to download the game and pay anywhere from $4.95 to $89.95 per game. Absolutely nowhere on this packaging does it say this is a disk of games to download for a set price per game.

If I wanted a list of games I could pay money to download and play, I would have just downloaded some games from the net. Instead, I purchased this software and only got a few games out of the entire disk that I can actually use.

This software is a huge disappointment.

Don't Buy This!
This is a terrible product. My wife bought this and was very disappointed. It turns out that most of the 202 games are shareware, and you need to pay additional fees to regsiter the games. Unless you wish to pay hundreds of additional dollars and go through the hassels of registering the games, you won't get full use of them - they will turn themselves off after a set period of time or after a few times you play them. Decent version of the classic word game...
I play Scrabble every day, and it's a joy to finally have a version I can play solo on the train to work. This is a decent version of the board game. (The Windows CE version looks much better, however). If you know the game already you will be able to figure out how the Palm version is laid out, if not -- there is ample help and you'll pick it up quickly. The computer opponent is very challenging. The Players dictionary and rules are complete. (And always remember: 'XI' is a word).

Classic game for your PDA
This is great! A little downers but it's great!
like cant save or install in your storge room.
and have to use your d-pad and 4-other buttons.
and if they'll make more doom games.

Oh man....
Doom was a difficult enough game with the keyboard, but on your PDA this game is just plain hard.It's just too hard to play with a PDA D-Pad and have any success at all.This was totally not the game for me and I shouldn't have bought it.Honestly, FPS is not the thing you want on your PDA.The better choice would be something like Simcity 2000 or that Everquest Game.Something that is primarily played with the stylus because hammering your D-Pad with a game like this will ruin it forever.No sense in damaging your PDA.

Doom Is What You Are In For
Like the previous review, I was very disappointed that you could not install the product to a storage card. I had to clean everything off the Pocket PC main memory and I got the program running, but my main memory is gone once loaded. I am still attempting to get it to work on a storage card, but with little success so far.

DOOM
Warning!This program will NOT let you install it to a storage card--you MUST install it to your main device. AND although the box says the program takes 8MB --it in fact takes 15MB of storage AND 11 MB of RAM to work-- so if you have 32MB you are DEAD! This game takes 26MB !!!!! I never got it to work--the box is entirely misleading and WRONG. ...

dependable PDA
I have had it for two years and it has never let me down. Getting ready to add a wifi SD card to it.

Excellent
I have this pda for about 6 months now and i love it. I had a sony clie before this which went dead on me so i was in the market searching for another pda. The sole reason i went for pocket pc rather than palm os was the wifi capability (Now i think palm os also offers wifi?) e805 has built in wifi but is more expensive than this one and is heavier also (bought this one cause its cheaper than 805) so what i did was bought sd wifi card and voila! i m online. This unit is thin, light and beautiful. You can easily carry it in your shirt pocket and wont be bothered by its weight or size. Screen is bright enough, no problems there. The only reason i have given it 4 rather than 5 stars is cause sometimes it would hang on me and i would have to reset it. Now i dont know if its all pocket pc which do this or is it some software glitch , so i thought would take the rating down a bit. All in all its a good one and is recommended. I wanted a well lit bright screen for my pda which this one has.

Excelent pocket pc for the money
This is a very fast ppc. Every thing is fantastic, the color of the unit, the resolution.
The memory is 64mb its passable but you can load a 512 MB sd card and it works fantastic.
The builin speaker is good, and the microphone same.

Really Nice PDA!
For those who wish to get a quick review; This is the best pocket pc in the $200 dollar price range. I bought mine in April and I absolutely love it, my best friend bought one two weeks ago and he loves his as well. I am completely satisfied.

Pros:

After trying several PDA's I've finally found one I really like, at the right price and with the combination of features I will use.

1. (...)this one clearly stands heads and shoulders above the rest in this price range.

2. The e405 is very fast and effective while using media player and running basic games and the like. I'm not what you would call a "power user" but I've compared this to several models in the HP line and it is every bit as fast and functional (or better) in the case of the 1945. This is also the first PDA I've not had to reset once in the first month of use.

3. The form factor (size/shape) of this unit is GREAT, it is the thinnest I've seen and fits well in a pocket. The attractive metal housing is another big plus for me, the buttons are well placed and functional, the screeen is very bright and clear also.

4. I was truly surprised by just how much I like this Toshiba PDA once I started using it, very nice.

Cons:

1. I haven't had to contact Toshiba support as of yet, so it's hard to rate them although I'd suspect it is lacking like most companies in this market today.

2. Battery is not replaceable, but I can live with that for the price range I'm in. Battery life is about the same as the HP models I've tried, I can go 2-3 days between recharging with moderate use.

great buy for budget pda
I already own 1 hp jornada 548 and I gotta say, i love this pda! MUCH better. This thing stands up to horrendus abuse. I'm a delivery driver, and this thing lives in my car. Stands up to heavy weights put on it, baking in the sun for days on end, and I love the flash rom disk! The only bad side I see to it, is the single SDIO slot. Don't Buy-Junk
This is a collection of shareware for mainly outdated Pocket PC's. The software will not run under Windows Pocket PC 2003. Amazon should be ashamed for selling this kind of junk as their description of the product is very sparse.

Use caution with any product from this vendor!
If you have not read the other reviews for Handango products, do so before you buy, as I wish I did. They have an iron clad return policy for defective or deceptive software, which they will be happy to share with you after you buy, and that is you bought it, you own it. There is no person to talk to on the phone when you try to reason with the company, and many of these products are nothing more than advertising for the web site based software. Not reccomended ... Good Buy
I recently purchased this PPc.It was the first one I had purchased and found it very easy to use.I used it mostly for taking notes, and keep an organized schedule after I purchased the Targus Universal Keyboard, which works very well with the e355.I was impressed with the battery life on medium settings which gave about 3-4 hours of battery life.

Hopefully this review will give a student a little insight into this "student" view of this.

A pda to have
I am a high school teacher. I wanted something to take notes on and to remind me when homework was due. I searched far and wide reading review after review. I got alot more than that with the e355. I have been using it for about 3.5 months now.
I'll just list the Pros and Cons becasue i could go on all day!

Pros:
1. Great speed.
2. Works right out of the box.
3. Excellent battery life (3.5 to 4hrs continuous running)
4. Crisp display. (especially for video playback)
5. Smooth buttons that feel pretty nice on your fingers.
6. Good price for the quality you get
7. The speakers on this player play audio in the best way i have heard for a small speaker unit. You would not believe that a pda could do so well with sound. It plays my mp3s, wma, anything and don't forget the videos.
8. It has a SD card slot so you can expand the memory at any time. the SD card slot has a dummy card that protects it from being damaged by dust or other particles.
9. Quick charge time. Good size storage built in, 64mb.
10. Windows Mobile 2003 is much much much more stable than its predeccessor.
11. It's much much much thinner than many other pda's i have reviewed.
12. It's much more resiliant to 'falls to the floor' than the Dell or Ipaqs for example. I'm a teacher. I can guarantee you...running around the class will lead to a fall on the ground. It has a metallic covering. (no shaking inside!)

Cons.
1. Sometimes if you use up close to 90% of the memory, it stalls.
2. The 'record audio' button is placed near the top so sometimes taking it out you may mistakedly begin recording. (this can be disabled though so it is not really a con)
3. It does not include the ability to 'go wireless' for internet. You can still access the internet though but you need to be connected to your computer. I did not need wireless internet just yet. When it does become ubiquitous...maybe then i'll go for something else.
4. The battery is not removeable. By the time this actually becomes a problem I'll be getting a new pda..about 2 to 3 years from now.

THis is an excellent PDA is you do not need wireless internet access right away.
I would recommend it with all authority people out there.

good pocket pc
I dont know whats going on with amazon.com because I bought this pocket pc a month ago here for 165 dollars and now it costs more than two hundred.Anyways its a great pocket pc with 32 mb storage capacity, runs all the latest games fine (www.handango.com or www.pocketgear.com).My only complaint is that I have no clue whats going on with the battery on this thing. If i charge it and leave it alone for one week the battery drops to zero.

Faulty At Best
(1) It stops working if you live in a cold climate such as Vermont or Minnesoda.
(2) Sometimes it stops working for no reason.
(3) I've owned mine for less than a year and used it very gently; the screen no longer responds to teh stylus
(4) I bought it at an anon. major electronics/computer store in Manhatten. I've tried to take it back under warentee four times without any sucess, and the clerks tell me it's just "acting finicky" and to "wait it out"

Toshiba has Terrible Customer Service
I was torn between getting the HP 1935 and the Toshiba e355.I finaly went for the Toshiba because of the faster processor speed and the one year warranty.But after one month I started to have problems with the system always coming up with errors. I called the tech support and they said that if I sent it to them they would work on it but it would cost about $100.00 so I figured I could live with the error messages.Then a tragedy happened and the screen got cracked.So I called to see if they would cover that and they don't cover the screen damage in their warrenty.That would have cost $190.00 to replace, so at that price I could just buy a hole new Pocket PC.One Year Warranty, I ask "WHAT WARRANTY?"I should have gone with the HP 1935 in the first place.I spent two hundred on a little paper weight because withthe cracked screen it doesn't do anything anymore. ... Perfect for all types of eating plans!
This is the best of all the program I've tried for my Palm. It keeps track of water intake, has a fully customizable food database, and calculates your energy output through daily life and exercise. I've lost over 40 lbs in the last 4 months.

I'm on Atkins, and this is perfect for helping me keep track of what I need. Others on WW, wanting to maintain a certain food balance, or trying to eat according to the U.S. gov't recommendations will find this just as helpful.

I love that it tracks the water intake as well. I try to drink a gallon of water a day, and I don't have to rely on my memory to keep on track.

I've had no problems with it, and highly recommend this product.

Losing Weight
This is a great weight loss program. It lets me track my food intake and has a hugh data base of foods. With the Windows desk top program I can really see what's going on. The program is easy to use and the best part is that it's with me always in my Palm IIIc with me.

Lost 10 lbs already.It works!
This program was recommended by my brother who is a physician.I started using it on my Sony PDA. It is pretty neat. It has a decent food database.It basically helps you track input vs output of calories. You set up a goal to run a calorie deficit to lose so many pounds over so much time.It makes you much more aware of what you are eating and how many calories goes along with it.I downloaded the calorieking.com food database as a supplement to add foods.What i like best is that when you exercise it helps you calculate the calories you consumed, so you get to eat more that day! ... SimCity in Your Pocket
The game is a faithful reproduction of the PC version of SC2K.All functionality is present, even if a bit more cumbersome to access on the smaller screen.Everything from the opening music, to the newspaper stories, all the way up to the Arcos is included.

One word of caution to prospective buyers...thus far I have been unable to find a way to multitask while playing this game (played on a Toshiba e310).While the game is running, the ability to access other PDA functions seems to be disabled.

That said, SimCity fans will not be disappointed.The graphics are very sharp and the interface is quite friendly (even if a little different from the PC version).

Excellent game but difficult to play
I have played this game for a couple of weeks now and it is still enjoyable. I understood how to play with the excellent manual but it is too large to print and only comes in the Adobe Acrobat Reader. There is no tutorial, but the game was easy to get the hang of. It takes awhile to build the city that you were hoping to build but when you finish the project, it is fun to keep your city going for many years. You can select many different disasters that can happen to your city so that you're not always bored waiting for the money to rack up.
