1-0 out of 5 stars e-805 Toshiba PDA
The toggle switch on my new e805 broke the second time I moved it from WiFi to off.I sent the unit in under warrenty.Toshiba warrenty department said the mother board must be replaced to fix the toggle switch and is not covered under warrenty. They charged $125.00 to repair unit.I've bought a lot of Toshiba products, this will be the last.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works Fine !
I purchased the e805 dispite the bad reviews here and let me tell you mine works fine. I use it with navagation software and find it works way better than I expected.(travroute) E-mail works fine as does connecting to wireless internet services. I have had no problems with the screen. Not to mention I got lucky and paid $499.00 from COMPUSA. 2 THUMBS UP...Anyone interested in navagation software should give TRAVROUTE a try.

2-0 out of 5 stars A very unhappy camper
I placed one of the earliest orders for this unit. The unit is fine, as far as that goes.
Feb 2, 2004
Now I am having problems with the device (see appended comments below)

March 18, 2004
More problems: the unit is now inoperable (see appended comments)

Additional Comments as of 2004-02-08:
1) The touch screen is now starting to malfunction. When I first turn the unit on I am getting many clicks (as if I am tapping the screen, which I am not). Also, later, if I even touch the case at the upper/right corner (not even near the actual display) the unit clicks (as if I am tapping the screen). Also upper sides of case sometimes.
2) Status of Toshiba Order for critical supplies (screen overlays and replacement styli):
Shipping is Waiting to Pack Order (from Toshiba account status)
In other words, they still don't have the items. About March 10, 2004 the screen overlays FINALLY arrived. Not a bad turnaround for something critical - two months. However, the unit is now inoperable, the screen does not respond. Did a total system reset, was operable for awhile. Then, screen clicking like a geiger counter it has stopped responding again.

4-0 out of 5 stars Had to return mine, screen doesn't respond
When I first took it out of the box, it didn't, but I thought that was because the battery needed to be charged. I did finally get it setup and working. It was beautiful. Then the screen started acting weird, I'd tap the scroll bar and the today screen would pop back up, or I'd tape the "next" button and a different program would flash and then go away and then back to the today screen. Sometimes I'd turn it on and the screen wouldn't respond, then all of a sudden it did again. It was getting so bad that I hard reset and still couldn't get the screen to respond. I tried calling Toshiba, who only offers 90 days tech support, and they said they'd have someone call me back. A week later, I called them again and a week later I called a third time. Finally, I couldn't get the unit to respond at all, so I called J&R (where I purchased it via Amazon link) and they told me to send it back. They'd check it out and IF they found a problem they'd exchange it and refund my shipping fee. A lot of hassle for a very expensive machine, Toshiba is awful. I hope J&R comes through, as they agreed. They were nice on the phone, I think they will.
I did get my new, replacement from J&R. I was charged for it and I'm still waiting for them to credit me for the one I returned to them. The new one works MUCH better! It's a pleasure to use. I've only let the battery run down once; it stays pretty good, 4 or 5 days with normal use. This screen works the way it should. It responds well and it's really quick. I restored from a backup on my CF card and was up and running in seconds. I really love it. I like the CF and SD card slots and the fast processor. I like it much better than the iPAQ 5455 I had.

1-0 out of 5 stars unreliable!
i got my unit and as soon as i took it out of the box, i found that the screen would not respond to the stylus.so, i could not use it past the initialization stage!this unit has all sorts of problems that you can read about on forums, such as:

- screen taps not responding
- noise coming from the unit
- batteries not holding charge

although i was aware of bad experiences some people had, i really wanted the vga screen and thought i would try it out anyway...

turned out to be a big waste of time, since i had to wait about 3 weeks for this thing to get off back order!

i have purchased all kinds of technology items and have never had anything with such a major defect upon opening it; this is just unacceptable. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Thinking of buying a used one?Look again
Toshiba is known for their excellent notebook/laptop, but not for their PDA. My first PDA was the Apple Newton and Toshiba e335 is my current and last one (currently looking at the IPAQ 6315/6365).

My overall experience with the e335 is not too good. Hardware quality is very poor (cracked adaptor socket, creaking case). I am not at all a "heavy" user, but I still find this e335 to be inadequate and below average in everything. Battery life is average; plus it cannot be replaced when the battery is at the end of its lifetime. The processor is so slow and buggy, it requires "soft" reset several times a day.

The worst of all is the poor support from Toshiba itself as the maker of this PDA. The last rumor I heard was, Toshiba stops making and selling PDA (its a reality by now in 2005). So my suggestion is: don't even consider buying a used one or new ones advertised as clearance model, because you'll be stuck with less than average PDA that you can only use as a shiny toy to impress a 4 year old....

1-0 out of 5 stars poor choice, don't buy
Expensive toy but not useful at all.
If you don't recharge it, you lose your memory??? What kind of a deal is that for $400, as I paid? Do yourself a favor and buy something better.

4-0 out of 5 stars I like it, but don't buy it.
It's late August 2004. You shouldn't be considering this PDA, even as a bargain.

It's a great little device. Slim, strong, powerful. Great display. Long battery, by my standards (if I forget where it is for 3 or 4 days, it's still alive when I find it).

If you can get it for 20 bucks, ok, buy it.

Otherwise, the problem is: Toshiba won't support it anymore. By 'not supporting' the e-335, I mean they won't upgrade the OS. You're stuck with what it comes with.

That's neat and all - but Microsoft has had an upgrade out to Windows CE (or whatever they're calling it now) for almost a year. Toshiba told me in an e-mail that, like Compaq iPaq users, or Dell Axim's, or Jornada's....... e-335 won't get an upgrade. Six months between purchase of the device and the new OS and I can't get an upgrade. Not even one I can purchase.

That's annoying. It's 2004. Go shop for a different one.

Not to mention, the thing has an Intel 'X-Scale' processor. It's not a successful standard for a processor and I'm starting to run into compatibility problems.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good PDA
Got it around my birthday Sept of 2003, Great buy, 2 problems shipping took almost 2 weeks instead of 2 days from NJ to MA, 2nd Battery problems almost 2 months later Toshiba was able to replace but battery problem continued so I gave up. All in all 8 months later and other than battery still loving it. Would buy from seller again. Still the shipping was a bit delayed but it was still a reliable PDA

1-0 out of 5 stars Great PC, Don't buy from Amazon
On December 2, 2003 I ordered the Toshiba E335 from Amazon.com because it showed a great price and a 20 dollar mail-in-rebate.I was so excited to find a Pocket PC with 300 MHZ, MS Pocket PC 2003, and 64 MB of ram for under 200 dollars that I purchased one for my dad and one for my brother-in-law as Christmas Gifts.I was certain I would receive my package any day when I received an email from Amazon.com Customer Service saying that they had oversold the pocket pc and I would receive neither of the items I ordered.Needless to say, I am very discouraged. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent PDA
I don't know why this pda has such a bad review, I recently purchased one and its been great! I haven't had one problem with it. And for the people that are complaining about the record button, it can be disabled!

3-0 out of 5 stars E 740 problems
This is a a great PDA execpt for one thing. It is has NO built-in memory to save stored data. The E 750 took care of this problem and Toshiba essentially stifed the owner of the orignal -including my letter to them which was written before one year warrantee. They never even answered my letter.

Their answer was to give you a $40 credit towards their old defective E740. Good customer relations -Toshiba

1-0 out of 5 stars No Upgrade
I was pleased with its performance until I realized that Toshiba doesn't offer the upgrade to Pocket PC 2003.Seems like just a ploy for me to sell it and buy the 755, which is the same machine.Needless to say I'm not happy with Toshiba's support of this product.

3-0 out of 5 stars So-so, but mine still works!
I bought this shortly after the recall (November 2002).It's been over a year and a half, and I still use mine daily!I've only had the 1% battery problem once because I usually sit mine to recharge overnight. Is it a hassle? Not if I need to update information on it daily (e-mails, appointments, etc).

All in all, it's been frustrating to see poor reviews and then see Toshiba not support the e740 any more. However, with proper management, you can get a WiFi enabled PDA with SD/CF slots for cheap and be pretty satisfied with yourself!

3-0 out of 5 stars Get it if you can find it for a good price.
I brought the E740 1 month ago for a very good price. If you are looking for a wi-fi enabled PDA, but don't want to spend too much on it, take a look at the E740. I read most of the reviews on Amazon and other opinions site, most people have negative opinions on the E740. Their opinions are understandable, since they got it for a very high price, and the performance does not match its price tag. After I using it for over a month, here are some of the pros and cons in my opinion on the E740.

Pros:
Wi-Fi!!! You can't find a PDA with integrated Wi-Fi in this price range.

CF(compatible with both type I/II) and SD slot. It really offers you a lot of upgrade options with both the CF and SD slot. I personally use a 512 SD card and leave the CF slot for a 56K cf modem.

User replaceable battery

Cons:
Windows Mobile 2002, and Toshiba does not offer upgrade to the WM2003. THis is a big deal, since Microsoft change the database for WM2003, which means new programs will not be compatible with WM2002. Also, Windows 2003 is written to take advantage of the XScale processor in the E740, which supposingly will boost up system performance and increase battery life.

It crashes, but in my opinion is is acceptable. It doens't crash all the time, but occasionally.

THis is pretty much it. In term of battery life, I think most other Windows based PDA offer identical battery life. (Well, except some big PDAs like Dell X5, it offer better life, but it's very bulky) I think the PDA deserve anywhere from 50%-60%, since it does offer a lot of features, and at a relatively low price. So if you can find a E740 for a reasonable price, it will be a great gaget to have. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice but no backup battery
This is the fourth PDA I've owned, and while it has a lot to offer, you really need to ask yourself if the small size is worth the tradeoff of a ridiculously expensive main battery and no backup battery.I was used to getting at least a week on a charge (which I'm sure seems short to the Palm folks), but for this a long weekend of NON_USE can be enough to drain the battery. And that's not trivial, since there's no backup battery.Never again will I buy a PDA without a backup battery.

5-0 out of 5 stars GreatPDA, Battery lasts 11 hours when new.
Hi, I felt the need to review this product after reading some recent, poor reviews. If you are having battery problems, you may have gotten a worn-down or a bad battery. I have had the e310 for over 2.5 years now.The battery lasted all this time (lasts for 11 hours of continuous use), and only in the past 2 months it is starting to show signs of wear (only seems to last 7 hours, discharges more quickly, will only charge to 80% until I replug it in and turn the power on with backlight off, then it does charge to 100%).I am planning to do the brave thing and replace it myself for $30 (found LAB503759C Toshiba E310 PDA battery at Laptops for less.com)

For more battery touble shooting, PocketPC Passion has archives of e310 discussion thread that gives very good help for everything. When not using the device, it's a good idea to stop all running programs. I have notices certain programs to be extreme battery hogs. PDA viewer when the file is in SD card and is very large (a map) seems to suck battery like there's no end.To a lesser degree Microsoft Streets & Maps, when a large file is in SD card seems to use more battery than others. All other programs seem to use very little battery. I hope this helps :)

Update - battery test results:My e310 is 2.5 years old and was used everyday. Backlight Medium, constant write/read to SD & main memory, multiple apps running - 5 hours. Backlight Low, constant read/write to SD - 6.5 hours. Backlight off, audio program running - 10 hours. Power off battery drain, 20-25% in 1-2 days after charging to 100%. Fully draining the battery a few times does seem to improve performance. Waiting for new battery on order, will report results after doing surgery to replace my battery.

1-0 out of 5 stars Light weight is the only good quality!!
I own this pocket pc for less than two years; it already gives up on me. System freezes, unusable every time it powers up, update the ROM and it still won't work. (It only works when I reset it).I did regret from buying it ever since I got it. It has little memory storage and eats battery like crazy. No second charger where you can take it with you when travel, and no user replaceable battery. In my case I didn't need this replaceable battery thing, because it stops working before the battery life stops.Only good quality about it is its light weight! I didn't want to criticized, but I had enough! People said it has good display, and it looks nice. When it compared next to my co-worker's HP iPAQ, this looks like a peace of junk, then again, I only paid $250.00 for it at that time.

4-0 out of 5 stars -
I have been enjoying this item thoroughly. I purchased mine at Costco over a year ago. I have never had trouble with the battery, of any of the sorts mentioned, but I tend to run the backlight at low power since the default is super bright, and uses up the battery faster.
I have found that it only takes a few hours to get a full charge, and that overnight is ideal. One charge lasts me all day at work/school, and I still have more than enough left play music all the way home.
I have the same 128 MB card, but have never had trouble with it except when I was sharing it with my camera. The trouble was caused by the camera, not the PDA.
Crashing and freezing is a symptom of having Microsoft Software on the computer, and is rather typical with many PDA's. Overnight is an excellent time to run data backups, and if you save the backup to your SD card, you can quickly restore from even the worst crashes
One of the best things you can do for this PDA is install a DOS emulator and then in the emulator, install an old version of windows, ie 3.0. Copy an old windows 3.0 compatible Encyclopedia CD to a 512 MB SD card, and you have a fully functional reference system as well as full computer functionality when you use an IR keyboard. I have found it to be perfect for school. It works well enough, that I don't make use of the portability feature of my laptop anymore.
The worst problem I have ever experienced is that with an IR keyboard, it picks up a lot of static from any nearby electronics, including the AC adaptor, and thus far, I have yet to see a keyboard that will work with it which isn't wireless.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it
Truly a great PDA. The smallest one I've ever owned (3rd, of 4 total), and one of the fastest.

Pros:
-Tiny, light
-Blazing fast
-Long battery life
-Bright screen
-Very loud speakers for the size
-Can run multiple (6-10) programs without major problems
-Expandable through SD slot
-Great for reading E-Books, several included on the CD
-Sync feature is easy to use, yet allows to get contacts, notes, e-mail, even websites
-Sturdy - A high drop (from a shelf in my book-case) did absolutely no damage
-Inexpensive, great value

cons:
-Was hard to find a new unit (bought mine a few months ago, used), Toshiba stopped selling this, for whatever reason
-32 MB means you might want to get SD card if you're going to be watching movies, I got a 256mb card, holds an entire movie in great quality, and still holds a bunch of MP3's
-Doesn't come with headphones

If you buy it, hope you enjoy it as much as I did ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Buy
I recently purchased this PPc.It was the first one I had purchased and found it very easy to use.I used it mostly for taking notes, and keep an organized schedule after I purchased the Targus Universal Keyboard, which works very well with the e355.I was impressed with the battery life on medium settings which gave about 3-4 hours of battery life.

Hopefully this review will give a student a little insight into this "student" view of this.

4-0 out of 5 stars A pda to have
I am a high school teacher. I wanted something to take notes on and to remind me when homework was due. I searched far and wide reading review after review. I got alot more than that with the e355. I have been using it for about 3.5 months now.
I'll just list the Pros and Cons becasue i could go on all day!

Pros:
1. Great speed.
2. Works right out of the box.
3. Excellent battery life (3.5 to 4hrs continuous running)
4. Crisp display. (especially for video playback)
5. Smooth buttons that feel pretty nice on your fingers.
6. Good price for the quality you get
7. The speakers on this player play audio in the best way i have heard for a small speaker unit. You would not believe that a pda could do so well with sound. It plays my mp3s, wma, anything and don't forget the videos.
8. It has a SD card slot so you can expand the memory at any time. the SD card slot has a dummy card that protects it from being damaged by dust or other particles.
9. Quick charge time. Good size storage built in, 64mb.
10. Windows Mobile 2003 is much much much more stable than its predeccessor.
11. It's much much much thinner than many other pda's i have reviewed.
12. It's much more resiliant to 'falls to the floor' than the Dell or Ipaqs for example. I'm a teacher. I can guarantee you...running around the class will lead to a fall on the ground. It has a metallic covering. (no shaking inside!)

Cons.
1. Sometimes if you use up close to 90% of the memory, it stalls.
2. The 'record audio' button is placed near the top so sometimes taking it out you may mistakedly begin recording. (this can be disabled though so it is not really a con)
3. It does not include the ability to 'go wireless' for internet. You can still access the internet though but you need to be connected to your computer. I did not need wireless internet just yet. When it does become ubiquitous...maybe then i'll go for something else.
4. The battery is not removeable. By the time this actually becomes a problem I'll be getting a new pda..about 2 to 3 years from now.

THis is an excellent PDA is you do not need wireless internet access right away.
I would recommend it with all authority people out there.

5-0 out of 5 stars good pocket pc
I dont know whats going on with amazon.com because I bought this pocket pc a month ago here for 165 dollars and now it costs more than two hundred.Anyways its a great pocket pc with 32 mb storage capacity, runs all the latest games fine (www.handango.com or www.pocketgear.com).My only complaint is that I have no clue whats going on with the battery on this thing. If i charge it and leave it alone for one week the battery drops to zero.

1-0 out of 5 stars Faulty At Best
(1) It stops working if you live in a cold climate such as Vermont or Minnesoda.
(2) Sometimes it stops working for no reason.
(3) I've owned mine for less than a year and used it very gently; the screen no longer responds to teh stylus
(4) I bought it at an anon. major electronics/computer store in Manhatten. I've tried to take it back under warentee four times without any sucess, and the clerks tell me it's just "acting finicky" and to "wait it out"

1-0 out of 5 stars Toshiba has Terrible Customer Service
I was torn between getting the HP 1935 and the Toshiba e355.I finaly went for the Toshiba because of the faster processor speed and the one year warranty. But after one month I started to have problems with the system always coming up with errors. I called the tech support and they said that if I sent it to them they would work on it but it would cost about $100.00 so I figured I could live with the error messages. Then a tragedy happened and the screen got cracked. So I called to see if they would cover that and they don't cover the screen damage in their warrenty. That would have cost $190.00 to replace, so at that price I could just buy a hole new Pocket PC.One Year Warranty, I ask "WHAT WARRANTY?"I should have gone with the HP 1935 in the first place.I spent two hundred on a little paper weight because withthe cracked screen it doesn't do anything anymore. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Toshiba 755e
I bought this PDA two years ago.It has never synched well with either my laptop or my desktop.I always have to reset the PDA in order for it to synch. This didn't happen when it was new and Toshiba tells me it can only be my virus protection.I have also gone through three batteries.I was told today (3/1/05) that the battery is now $84 and that Toshiba no longer repairs PAs.Overall, very poor support from Toshiba.

1-0 out of 5 stars toshiba e755
Used product for 8 weeks before complete failure in the absence of any kind of misuse.Since use began only 4 weeks before end of warranty period, Toshiba offered not help, and no service options, even though I was willing to pay.Was told twice I would be called by Toshiba Customer relations, and wasn't.Pocket PC's not repaired at authorized Toshiba computer service centers in a 20 mile radius. The nature of the failure was a complete system freeze, and failure of both "soft" and "hard" reboots to fix. Screen ultimately blank, with fully charged battery.Truly a $500 paper weight. It is a bitter lesson: do not purchase Toshiba computer products, unless from a retailer that allows no questions asked unconditional return (not too many of those!)What's amazing is this type of failure has been described by reviewers of the previous model, AND the subsequent e805.Toshiba is not ready for prime time, and hasn't been for years. This suggest to me a deep structural problem in its engineering and management.

3-0 out of 5 stars very good... few small problems
the product is good and promising for a bussy user
but there are few problems :
1- No good support.
2- It frozes in two occasions, so I have to restart it again, and it is a very good practice to keep it sync everyday with your main computer.
3- it turned off by itself 6 times... that is really bad, because this ment that I have to re-sync with my computer, a process usually takes time and efford, and you wouldn't like it to happen SIX time.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great product but..
This would be a really great product if it didnt continually need to be re-set. Its annoying because it resets for seemingly no reason at all, and I lose all my information, and then have to re-synch with Outlook, which defeats the whole point of having the unit. Im trying to find an answer from Tohiba, or to find out if I have the biggest lemon in the world

5-0 out of 5 stars exelent pda
I just picked one of these up for 300 bucks, and let me tell you that this is the best pda I have ever used. I had a ipaq 3760 which wore out, and I was fortunate enough to find one of these for a mere 300 bucks, compaired to the ipaq 1945 which is the best other product in this price range, the e755 wins hands down. It has both SD and CF slots, integrated wireless, and enough features to keep you on your heels for weeks. and now the biggest thing... the battery life is great! I can use this all day without recharging it or changing the battery. exelent buy on a exelent unit. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars dependable PDA
I have had it for two years and it has never let me down. Getting ready to add a wifi SD card to it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent
I have this pda for about 6 months now and i love it. I had a sony clie before this which went dead on me so i was in the market searching for another pda. The sole reason i went for pocket pc rather than palm os was the wifi capability (Now i think palm os also offers wifi?) e805 has built in wifi but is more expensive than this one and is heavier also (bought this one cause its cheaper than 805) so what i did was bought sd wifi card and voila! i m online. This unit is thin, light and beautiful. You can easily carry it in your shirt pocket and wont be bothered by its weight or size. Screen is bright enough, no problems there. The only reason i have given it 4 rather than 5 stars is cause sometimes it would hang on me and i would have to reset it. Now i dont know if its all pocket pc which do this or is it some software glitch , so i thought would take the rating down a bit. All in all its a good one and is recommended. I wanted a well lit bright screen for my pda which this one has.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excelent pocket pc for the money
This is a very fast ppc. Every thing is fantastic, the color of the unit, the resolution.
The memory is 64mb its passable but you can load a 512 MB sd card and it works fantastic.
The builin speaker is good, and the microphone same.

5-0 out of 5 stars Really Nice PDA!
For those who wish to get a quick review; This is the best pocket pc in the $200 dollar price range. I bought mine in April and I absolutely love it, my best friend bought one two weeks ago and he loves his as well. I am completely satisfied.

Pros:

After trying several PDA's I've finally found one I really like, at the right price and with the combination of features I will use.

1. (...)this one clearly stands heads and shoulders above the rest in this price range.

2. The e405 is very fast and effective while using media player and running basic games and the like. I'm not what you would call a "power user" but I've compared this to several models in the HP line and it is every bit as fast and functional (or better) in the case of the 1945. This is also the first PDA I've not had to reset once in the first month of use.

3. The form factor (size/shape) of this unit is GREAT, it is the thinnest I've seen and fits well in a pocket. The attractive metal housing is another big plus for me, the buttons are well placed and functional, the screeen is very bright and clear also.

4. I was truly surprised by just how much I like this Toshiba PDA once I started using it, very nice.

Cons:

1. I haven't had to contact Toshiba support as of yet, so it's hard to rate them although I'd suspect it is lacking like most companies in this market today.

2. Battery is not replaceable, but I can live with that for the price range I'm in. Battery life is about the same as the HP models I've tried, I can go 2-3 days between recharging with moderate use.

4-0 out of 5 stars great buy for budget pda
I already own 1 hp jornada 548 and I gotta say, i love this pda! MUCH better. This thing stands up to horrendus abuse. I'm a delivery driver, and this thing lives in my car. Stands up to heavy weights put on it, baking in the sun for days on end, and I love the flash rom disk! The only bad side I see to it, is the single SDIO slot. I would have preferred a CF slot as well, but for $300, it's still a great value. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great PDA For Basic Users
The Toshiba e350 is a great PDA for people using it for basic tasks. If you are interested in running large apps or putting a full music collection of oyur PDA, go for a faster, more capable PDA like an ipaq 5450.
Pros:
Lots of memory for basic users.
Compatiable with most software.
Beautiful screen (good resolution).
Small
Low priced
Cons:
Battery Life
Low memory for some users
Doesn't work well in cold areas (like CT)
Doesn't come Wi-fi enabled

If you need a basic PDA, this is perfectly fine for you (Although I recommend the Toshiba e355 over this because it comes with more software for the same price). If you have a problem with your PDA, I recommend using a 3rd party service to help fix it (Toshiba has really bad customer service).

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Little PDA
I found my E350 for $110.00.It has been an absolutely stunning performer.I am very pleased with its battery life, and the screen quality. The screen looks great indoors and outdoors. When we go on trips, my girlfriend uses it to watch movies. It works great.I would get this model over the E355.Having an image viewer is not that big of a deal, since superior image viewing programs for the Pocket PC can be downloaded from a bunch of sites. This PDA is a great deal!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Basic PDA
After two Philips NINO in the early days and an HP Jornada, I recently bought the Toshiba e350, and I am quite happy with it. From the intro you can see that I am a Pocket PC user, just find this OS more appealing and easier to combine with my Windows based PC, and this was mandatory for me.
The e350 is a very nice product, and I especially like:
+ the extremely nice color LCD screen (you can clearly read even in the brightest sunlight! It's truely amazing.)
+ the small form factor (the product is only 12mm thin) and nice sleek design
+ the good processor performance (it exceeds my needs by far)
+ the easy connectivity (I use the IR port at work and the cradle at home, both work excellent and are easy to set up)
+ and of course the good price point.
On the negative side, there are only few points:
- battery life is not great compared to both the NINO and the Jornada (I have to charge the e350 about twice a week)
- a flip cover would be nicer than the pouch to protect the screen.

All in all, I think this is a very good basic PDA at a fair price, and I would definitely recommend it. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Works with my GPS but does not have headset profile
Pro's

Supports Bluetooth 1.1 Spec
Work with Socket Bluetooth GPS
Works with Palm PDA
PC CARD with CF when used the notebook the card sticks out very little. This is a big plus because if you have kids and use a USB adapter you will end up breaking it easily as sticks out from the notebook

Con's

Crappy software
**DOES NOT SUPPORT HEADSET PROFILE** I recently purchased a iogear headset for IM Chatting and realized that I could not use with my headset as this does not support headset profile
Very bad technical support,They charge for any software written and abs no free upgrades.
Very expensive

Conclusion
----------
If you are not interested in upgrades and happy with the exisitng functionality then go for it but at current market rate you have better choices. It does work with windows 98
I would not recommend it but if this is used with win98 then this card works and i have used it

2-0 out of 5 stars PDA Yes Laptop No Support non-existent
I got this card to work with Dell X5 PDA and my Sony T610 phone. However, I cannot get it to work with my Dell Latitude Laptop running Win 2000.It finds the remote device, allows connections, but if you try to move files, you get a protection error.Synchronization using the Sony software never finds the phone, even if it is connected, bonded..Emails to Socket support get no reply. No mention of problems or hints in their FAQ.No updates for the Windows software or drivers on the website (they seem to be selling this software for previous card buyers). They get two stars because it worked with the PDA.

Gratuitous comment: why does anyone think Bluetooth has a future? It is more complicated than wifi, slower, and seems more difficult to use.Once the low power wifi chips enter the market, bye-bye Bluetooth. ... Read more

Product Description

The Toshiba SD (Secure Digital) Memory Card is a compact and lightweight flash memory card that can be used in diverse applications ranging from MP3 players and cameras to cell phones and PDAs. The card's ability to exchange information quickly, securely, and reliably across any medium makes it the ideal solution for portable media. The SD Memory card can transfer data from one source to another, camera to laptop, for example, much faster than a floppy or a cable solution. It has a SDMI compliant security, which means that you can purchase music electronically from the Internet. It also provides data security via a write protect switch, just like a floppy, to prevent accidental erasure. The SD Memory Card is designed to meet the converging security, capacity, ergonomic and performance requirements of emerging audio, video, data and multimedia consumer electronics markets. Due to the non-volatile nature of flash memory, the card does not require any power to hold data, opening a great range of use in distribution scenarios. Uses for the SD Memory Card are limited only by the imagination. ... Read more
