Excellent stand for 12" iBook and 15" Powerbook
I bought this stand two years ago to hold my 12" iBook.It raised the iBook so the screen was comfortably at eye-level, and cleared desktop space for all the wires, USB hub, external FW drive, Palm, etc. that I have on my desk.I recently upgraded to a 15" Powerbook, and the iCurve supports it wonderfully.I also attached a 17" external monitor, and the two screens of the laptop and monitor are at the same eye-level.

beautiful and functional although...
...I just wish there was some way to make it more shake-resistant!What I mean is that when I get up from the desk if I bump the desk slightly then my laptop ends up shaking quite a bit---not so much that I'm worried it could actually slip off the stand, but I do worry about it causing damage to the laptop's internal parts, i.e. if the hard disk is spinning at the moment, wouldn't a sudden hard vibration like that possibly damage the laser and/or the disk?

Otherwise it's certainly a beautiful stand and I love that now I no longer have to tilt my head slightly down because now my laptop monitor is finally at the correct height, level to my natural line of sight.

Oh well, guess I'll just have to be more careful around my desk from now on...

Stronger Than You Think
I purchased the iCurve for my 17" PowerBook so I would have more room on my desk for a Bluetooth keyboard. It has worked out beautifully and it's practically invisible. I didn't even apply the extra no-slip pads provided with the stand and it stays in place very well.

An added bonus is that it keeps my laptop's processor nice and cool since air can circulate underneath and all around the unit - unlike when it's sitting against a desk where heat is trapped.

For the money and aesthetics, this stand is highly worth it.

Even for heavy notebooks, this stand is a winner.
As this stand is marketed toward the light-weight iBooks, I was a bit apprehensive about using it for my notebook, which weighs in at just under 10 pounds.Would the elegant iCurve crack under the pressure?No.I haven't even used the rubber pads to keep it in place.I am completely impressed.What's more, it saves me about six inches of desk space as my wireless keyboard slips nicely underneath.My only sadness with the stand is that it positioned my laptop about an inch too high (probably because my monstrous laptop is quite a bit thicker than the intended iBook), and I've now had to prop up my second monitor to compensate.Were it somehow adjustable, it would be perfect.

Ok stand but not good for keyboards
I agree that a laptop stand for more than casual use is very practically a necessity and helps posture, so anything is better than nothing, but I found this one was actually bulky and too hard to use with a keyboard -- you can't really prop a keyboard up on the fat plastic, it slides off. If you put the keyboard in front of the stand, it's too close to you and if you put it on the stand there is not enough room to type. I had to use my G4 15" Ti full-tim on a job out of town for a month, so I broke down and bought the Kamas and found it to be much better - yes it's more expensive, but if you use an external keyboard, it's worth it.

I found the Kamas to be much more "transparent" in the sense that it really disappears under your laptop instead of the bulky plastic, that while the iClear is clear, it feels bulky and bounces around to the touch. The Kamas is solid, no movement at all. I often use it with a TFT 15" or 18" monitor and it's a great combo. You can slide the keyboard under it on a gentle slope and adjust the height as well, so for someone who uses my laptop for work, again, it was well worth the extra money. ... Read more

Very buggy
something is always freezing, not working, or conflicting.also, a slow machine.go for something newer.

Trash
This machine is a constant frustration.Out of the box, the software is buggy and has never worked right.Tech support is poor, and they are able to do little more than parrot the instructions that come with the machine.Constantly jams when sending faxes, freezes up when sending large faxes, and has never successfully scanned an item.I operate a small business and thought this machine would cover several bases at once, but have been constantly disappointed.HP should be ashamed for putting this garbage on the market.

Buggy Software
So mom needed help scanning and e-mailing some documents. No problem. Hit the "scan" button on the OfficeJet, and go, right? Wrong. Hitting the button would bring up an HP splash screen on the computer, but it froze there. Lesson learned: the "scan" button on the machine is useless.

Then we went into the "HP Photo # Imaging Gallery" software. It worked for 3 scans, but on the 4th one, it appeared to scan fine, but the document file never showed up in the gallery window.

We tried it with another scanning application, and again it appeared to scan fine, but the software never received the data. No error, nothing.

I tried downloading a "critical update" for the HP software, and it arrived as an executable WinZip file. Unfortunately, it tried to unpack to a directory on C: but the computer in question doesn't have a C: drive, so the WinZip self-extractor said "Drive c is not a valid drive, unzip operation canceled" and exited.

Anyway, I then noticed the link that lets HP analyze your system for needed upgrades, but it found that the driver for the OfficeJet was up-to-date.

My HP Scanjet also 3300C has funny drivers. They don't like it when I disconnect power to the scanner before "disconnecting" the scanner in Windows. I think it used to crash Windows, before I upgraded the drivers. Now it merely complains. But it shouldn't complain at all!

Also, my uncle tried getting the fax part to work, but he hit an unresolvable problem (I don't remember what it was).

At work, we also use a different model of OfficeJet for faxing. That has problems feeding paper, and it just doesn't work as well as the Brother machine that sits beside it.

From now on, I can't recommend any HP device with a scanner, due to the poor quality of the drivers. But to be honest to myself and HP, I still like my Deskjet 970CSE. And the OfficeJet 6110 prints fine, which is why I give this 2 stars instead of 1.

Wonderful Multifunction Printer
I pruchased this unit so I could make copies for Sunday School and do light faxing and scanning.I have to use the unit increasingly for scanning documents into my computer.

So far, I have had no problems to report on this unit.

Took It Back For A Refund Just In Time
I bought this one because I wanted the flat glass for the copy function. However, it wasn't worth it. This printer tries to do too much, is cheaply made, and has a user-unfriendly menu. The software is full of bugs. You will be spending many hours trying to figure things out and calling India where customer service seems to be located. I was very lucky to get it back to the store within ten days for a full refund. And as you might figure, the store was a pain in the neck and said that they couldn't believe that I was having trouble with this model. Duh! ... Read more

Makes Fabulous Photos, Greeting Cards & Calendars
After getting the Canon i960 printer, I had to try this paper.One it was cheap.And two, the diverse reviews here intrigued me to no end.After making a few prints on this paper, I began to think I knew why the paper was so cheap...it was THAT bad!

Then, when I came to do a review, I fortunately read the one that cautioned printing on the right side of the paper.There was a right side?I then read the directions with the paper--there is indeed a right side, and it is whiter than the back.It will be hard for some to tell the difference.But the difference from printing on the right side and the wrong side is truly astounding! I'm a big glossy paper fan, but there is a nice look to this matte paper. And it is MUCH cheaper than the Photo Paper Pro.It is also much cheaper than buying greeting card paper.

But be aware, the money you save not buying more expensive photo paper will be going to buying more ink.Compared to glossy paper, this paper drinks ink.I've been making calendars with it, and was shocked to see the way the ink was consumed.Yet, I can't see making calendars with any paper than this.It makes beautiful calendars!I print a borderless 8x10 photo, using my Canon photo software on the bright white side, and a calendar page, using my calendar software, on the opposite side. The pages bind very easily with a 1/4 inch plastic binding comb.And as I said, it makes a strikingly beautiful photo calendar.

Thus, if you have only one type of Canon paper on hand, I would have this one. But if you can't give up the glossy look for photos, it won't work for you. Personally, I prefer using Kodak paper when making glossy prints on my Canon. And Kodak has a satin finished paper, but there is the Kodak name all over the back.One of the great things about this Canon paper is you can print on both sides. But do make certain you know the front from the back, before printing a photo.

Has the 4"x6" glossy just set my expectations too high?
Being a fan of both matte finish paper (in film-to-print type photos) and Canon's 4"x6" glossy, I was very happy to see this item. The first thing I noticed was that it was of a noticeably lighter weight than the 4"x6" glossy. Okay, so no fun-with-two-sided-tape, but most people don't use photos as virtual wallpaper, so I'm thinking that the weight isn't much of a problem for most people. I mean, once you put the photo in a frame, you are not going to be able to tell how sturdy it feels.

More importantly, the prints produced seem more akin to resume paper printouts than photographs. This surprised me after falling completely in love with both my Canon printer and the other non-pro Canon photo paper offering.

My (unsolicited) suggestion? Go with the 8"x10" glossy pro paper. It's only a couple of dollars more and, yes, I know, not matte, but if someone stuck a piece of white bond paper in my pack of this stuff, I may never know the difference.

Eh.....
I got this paper to make my shipping on my Canon inks free. I've been super impressed with the high quality of my 4x6 prints on my Canon i960, so I was all a-flutter, thinking about how marvellous it would be in an 8.5x11!

Well, it sucked. I can't tell which side of the paper is the printing side, for one. I've flipped the paper over and made sure that I tried printing on either side...and I'm just not impressed. The quality has seemed to suffer with this paper. Maybe the glossy will be better, but I'm not going to print up any more 8.5x11s...I'm not happy using that much ink on one print that doesn't look as good as I think it should.

Canon Matte Photo Paper
I recently bought a Canon i560 printer and had some Epson
paper.I tried 3 sheets and they all came out with banding.
I was tempted to take the printer back until I read all the
stories about Canon paper on Canon printers.Went and bought
a 50 pack of Canon matte paper.First print that came out had
zero banding.So, there must be some truth to it.I printed
three pictures off in a row and they all came out great!
Havent tried Kodak or any other papers, I think I'll stick with
the Canon paper.

Don't own, but considered one
A quick look at the goods in a hardware store showed me all I needed to know. B&D has fooled me twice with expensive shoddy goods for which no replacement parts were available to the buyer. They will not get the chance to fool me thrice.

Wow...what a disappointment!!
I have always wanted one of these since they look so useful. When I got it, I was really disappointed. The metal edges are razor sharp...even the cheap plastic parts have sharp edges. Assembly instruction is poorly written with pictures so tiny that they are pretty much useless. Then when I tried to clamp a project (a 14" X 12" board), there is no way to get it clamped down securely. The adjustment options were either too big or too small to get all 4 clamps on it! I tried using only 2 clamps, but it was impossible to secure it, and I did not want to tighten it too much fearing the cheap plastic handle might break off. Do not look at this as hardware; it is not. The material of this product is very cheap...and it will not last if you treat it like a tool.

Great until I broke the worm gear follower
My father has had a workmate for years.It had provided about 5 years of faithful 'moderate' to 'light' duty service.It's a must for space starved garages or workshops, and is fantastic for clamping.One of its drawbacks is its unwieldy center of mass when it folded up and placed on its side.It has a tendency to want to tip over if bumped, and in a confined garage that can be a problem.Alas, about a month ago it fell over and broke the plastic worm gear follower.It is a shame that they selected a thermoset plastic for this part.Because of its lack of ductility when it hit the deck it shattered into a several pieces.At first pass for the designers to make a part of this complex geometry out of plastic was the obvious choice, however, a die casting of the same part would have been much better.(...)

B&D and Amazon - Great Combo
I have wanted one of these most of my adult life, especially when I needed it and didn't have anyone to help me. I always assumed (correctly) that it was more expensive. When I "stumbled" across the WM 225 at the Amazon price with FREE shipping on this fairly heavy object - it was a done deal. Mine arrived in perfect condition much faster than the Super-Saver option allowed for. Wood, PVC, hacksaw, circular saw, glue - I have found my WM to be a new best friend. My wife sees me carrying it between garage and basement and knows that I'm finally attacking my "honey-do" list. Wish I'd bought it years ago. pretty good paper
I have an hp photosmart 7150 I have never encountered the Problem with the white dots mainly because it is an older printer and only has round tubelike metal rollers. it works great too and I love how the paper has the line to tear off un like other printers.

White dots on HP Premium Paper, Glossy
I also encountered the white dot problem with HP Premium glossy photo paper on my HP PSC 2355 printer.I even changed my printers at Best Buy, thinking that I have a defective printer, but still the same result.The pictures look good, but the white dots are quite annoying.They are virtualy imperceptible on lighter colors, but are glaring on dark colors, especially black.I would not recommend using this paper if you have an HP printer similar to mine (2355, 2175, 1315, 1350, etc.).Premium PLUS paper indeed corrects this problem, but it is almost twice as expensive.(If one looks very intently the white dots are still present even on Premium plus paper, they are just not conspicuous.) Because of this, I am now thinking of returning my HP printer, even thought the overall picture quality, as well as the product reliability, is quite high.

Good Paper- But not made for your HP printer
This HP paper is good.The 5 megapixel photos that I print from my HP Photosmart 7960 come out very well on this paper except for one thing.The little metal rollers that are inside most HP printers leave little dots that are visible on your photos (more visible with darker pictures).After calling HP about this, they said you need to get Premium PLUS photo paper and that the premium plus paper will correct the problem.If you don't mind having little white dots on your photos, then this paper is amazing.If you do mind then go with the Premium Plus. ... Great Labels
I've used hundreds of these labels & never had a problem. I've used other brands & they've had air bubbles & after a while 'wrinkled', rendering the CD no good. So I continue to use Fellowes Neato.

Not heat-proof
I used dozens of these labels until I found that they come unstuck in the heat inside the car CD player.It cost me $45.00 to have the dealer fix it!I emailed Neato and was told that this is a problem, they have no resolution, and I could use a mineral or citrus based product to remove the labels.They had no plans to produce a heat-resistant product.

This is very unsatisfactory.Surely with all the adhesives available today, they could find one appropriate to this application.

Favorite and most economical
Never had a problem with them, tried TDK & Avery and did not like as much as these. Neto is a great product supported by nearly all programs. Recomended.

Fellowes CD labels
These are very good labels to use. I have never had a problem with them and I have used hundreds of them.

DO NOT BUY~~~
I have used over 400 of these labels. I never could figure out WHY all my CD's would make horrible scratching noises after about 20 minutes of playing. Well I have finally found the answer. After the heat of the CD player begins to get hotter, the GLUE on the CD label begins to shift, and rise. This causes the small tolerance of the Cd Player to cause the Cd Player to malfunction. I discovered this because a friend just bought a new cd player and told me the cd I made him started scratching and causing the CD player to shut down. Interesting because this was the same as mine. When it happened to me again, I replaced the Fellowes label cd with a Non labeled CD and suddenly just seconds after I couldn't stand the Scratching noise of the Fellowes Labeled CD the Identical Non Label played for hours without a SINGLE PROBLEM... DO NOT BUY.... 3years and 400+ labels later, fellowes still hasn't improved their product. ... Read more

Deep, Indulgent, Complete, and Elegant
This thing needs a manual!I ordered it after realizng that my laptop and my camera were never going to get along in normal briefcases, backpacks, or photo bags.I started searching the net for combination camera and computer bags and this is where I ended up.The bag arrived today and it exceeds expectations.The product description did not communicate to me that there is a roll-up waterproof cover that comes out of the bottom of the backpack to cover and protect the backpack in the rain (why doesn't my backpacking pack do this????).The product description does not do justice to the wealth of pockets that are on the front of the bag.About 85% of the depth of the pack is consumed by the camera equipment compartment.The remaining 15% is dedicated to the laptop compartment.Not a problem unless you were hoping to carry 2 laptops in that compartment.Can't wait to trave with this.This is going to be great!!!

Great bag!Very versatile.
The Lowepro CompuTrekker AW is a great bag!When I first received it, I realized it was much larger than I expected.However, once I started using it, I realized that it is designed very well.I enjoy photographing/video taping my baby daughter.I'm able to fit my SLR with a few lenses, video camera, digital camera, film, and all the associated accessories with ease.I currently don't use the laptop slot, but I thought that would come in handy for holding books/manuals/maps/etc.When I do eventually go into digital, I'll have that space for a laptop.The straps are extremely comfortable and the tripod holder is a nice added touch.I hope not to get caught in severe weather, but it's nice to know there is the all-weather (AW) built-in cover.
Overall, the bag is well-designed.It is well-padded, has enough pockets for accessories, and comfortable.The only drawback is the size, but then again, you can't really go smaller to carry what I carry.If you want to shave weight/size, consider the standard mini-trekker without the laptop pocket. ... A sturdy, but heavy, bag
I've had the bag for about a week.It is one of the more sturdy-feeling bags I've come across -- the computer is extremely well protected inside multiple nested padded compartments.We'll see how well it actually holds up over time.It has a nice bag-within-bag design, so the computer can be safely transported (around campus, say) using just the inner bag, without the weight of the full bag.Lots of other little storage pouches, etc, and enough room for some books or large files.But don't expect to carry your computer AND several large textbooks... I don't think they would all fit.Nevertheless, this is probably as large a bag as anyone would want to carry on a daily basis.

The downside:This bag is heavy and large.It puts a strain on the shoulder when carried loaded for more than a minute or two.Also, the inner computer sleeve is presumably designed to hold 15"-15.4" notebooks, but even with the elastic sides on the inner sleeve, it is an extremely tight fit for my 15.4" Inspiron 6000.Maybe it will loosen up over time.(I could dispense with the inner sleeve since it is detachable, but then the computer would slide around in the larger compartment, which I want to avoid.So I squeeze into the sleeve as best I can.)

OK if not used heavily
When I first received my carrying case, I was impressed.It seemed quite durable (tough fabric and hard contour padded back) then proved otherwise...

I _DO NOT_ recommend using this case if you have a large and heavy notebook (as are all 17" notebooks).

After a few months the padded shoulder strap which I thought was comfortable ended up ripping at the ends (where the pressure is when worn on the shoulder).Then I contacted customer service to get the strap replaced.While I'm waiting for a new strap I started to carry it everyday to work by the handles...then, yup...it broke!

Customer service needs serious improvement.I've opened so many support tickets with them but because of the language barrier (India of course), it was not a pleasant experience. I eventually got them to give me a refund.

I would give this a 5 out of 5 if they only improved the design:make the bag REALLY able to support the weight of a 17" laptop, huge power brick and books...otherwise, look elsewhere.

Especially one that has a sturdy shoulder strap and handles!

Great Notebook Bag!
I've been using the my Contour Pro since mid June of 2004. I've mainly used it on my college campus, and I must say it's been great. I can easily fit my laptop, and books. In fact the pocket at the end of the bag (which is curved) is perfect for books! My only complaint would be for a longer strap so you could wield the bag across your chest (for 6' guys it feels awkward).

Excellent product
I print a lot of pictures in my business. This is by far the best paper I have used. I have several types of printers, Cannon, Epson, HP and this works well with all of them. This is a great deal as far as price goes as well. I did a lot of research to find the least expensive to try this product out and this was the best price and the fastest delivery! Professional or family fun this is professional quality paper.

Professional Paper - Highly Recommended
This is a very professional looking stock. You will not be disappointed. Great price for a super Luster finish.
Colors and image really pop on this stock. I use this stock on my Canon i860 and have NO problems at all. Dries fast and looks great.

Beautiful Paper
I have anEpson 960 Photo Printer.I have tried various Epson photo papers with the printer and this is by far the best.The premium glossy paper was nice but I could see some bands through the image that were barely percepible even when the printer was new.With the Premium Luster paper the ink lays down beautifully and perfectly and the image has what I can only describe in words as a rich feel to it.Paper selection is very personal but if you have not tried this paper you owe it to yourself to run some of it through your printer.There's a good chance you'll be back for more.

The best looking paper I've used
I use this paper to print out 2.3 to 4 megapixel digital photos on an Epson C44UX printer at 8 x 6.The finish of the paper has a beautiful jeweled look and the paper dries quickly.The colors do not smudge placed inside archival sleeves.In comparison to other papers I have used the past month, it's far superior to Southworth standard glossy paper.Southworth paper actually warps because the gel layer might be too thin or maybe because the paper is cheaply produced -- Southworth paper is essentially paper with a thin coating of something or other.Kodak Premium Photo paper (glossy) was not as good either.The Kodak paper has a cheaper look to it, but maybe it's due to the glossy finish(?).The Kodak paper is also whiter and the colors looked a bit washed out by comparison to the Epson prints.The print output looked like it came from an inkjet printer.Viewed alone, Kodak prints looked okay -- it's when you put them side by side with another paper that's better.HP Premium Plus (glossy) was nearly as good, but the colors also didn't seem to appear as natural.It may have something to do with whatever gel or emulsion Epson is coating this paper with.The results on Epson paper look like photos from the photo lab -- it's hard to believe my forty five buck printer can make this kind of output.Like someone said elsewhere, you can spend hundreds on a high tech printer, but if you get low quality paper, the results are yuck.So, I use my remaining supply of the other papers to print out labels and things, and I use the Epson paper to print out photos that I frame and hang on the wall.This paper is recommended.

Cheap and cheerful
My 15 inch tohiba fits nicely and feels secure. This is a great case for the money you pay.

However there's no room for the cord, so that goes in the front pouch making it a little bulky.

good bag... could be a little bigger though !
this is a good bag for the price!. It has lots of nifty spaces to keep your office stuff. But if you have a 15" laptop then you may have to remove or shift around some of the padding!

but overall its a good decent quality bag and hence I give it 4 stars !

BEST THING EVER makin fun of comic book guy from the simpson
This is so good. i looked at around 40 or so stores and stores online for a bag that my laptop would fit in i have a 15 inch widescreen and i thought i had to buy the bag that they were offering me for $50 when i bought this laptop. my laptop fits so good in this bag. if you have a laptop bigger then a 15 inch wide screen do not buy this if you have a smaller laptop this has a belt kind of thing that will protect it and you can put your charger in it. only buy this product if you have a 15 inch widescreen or smaller other wise it is to big for the case.

It is an amazing bag for the price. Everything is perfect but one would struggle to fit a book with the laptop. I was looking for a bag where I could even fit a book which is not the case. But I can not actually complain as it is very cheap.

Good bag
I have a 15 in Toshiba and it fits snuggly in this case. There are a few problems: there's no room for the cord, so that goes in the front pouch (making it a little bulky)
Also the strap is not the best. The shoulder padding is bad and slips around a lot.

Unbelievable Results
I use this paper for large format professional photos.With the standard Canon S9000 ink and this paper, photos are rated as "archival" quality (25 years no fade) which is good enough for some of my gallery pieces.The quality of the output on this paper with the Canon S9000 is better than any printer in its class.The ink/paper combination even smells like traditional film based output.Large format photos print and dry very quickly and rarely have quality issues. One warning, the paper comes in a resealable cello wrapper.Be careful that you don't lay a photo on the outside of the wrapper.The glue can stick to the photo, destroying it.

Full Color Range
I use this paper with my Canon S9000 printer to get large blowups of the shots I take with my Olympus E10, and I get sharp images and rich colors.I've scaled down some prints to 11x14 so that I can fit them into standard 11x14 mats and 16x20 frames.I have printed some 13x19 pixs and the quality is excellent, but they will have to be custom matted, which can be expensive.
