Nice Little Copier at a Great Price
Looked all around for reviews on this item, and was surprised to find nothing.

This is a smart product, with some great features which has worked flawlessly so far. It was out of the box and running in minutes, with hardly any instruction manual review required. Operation is smooth and quiet, and it starts instantly.Very intuitive operation.

The one-piece toner cartridge is nice, and installed without problems. Some quick math indicates that copies will cost just pennies each with this unit, if the cartridge performs to specs.

For our small home office use, this is perfect. While it is not fast, it works beautifully. It folds up to a small compact size, and is even portable.

Kind of unusual, not that great
I just bought one of these. The first thing you notice when you try to make a copy is that unlike most flatbed copiers-- where an internal scanner mechanism moves, and the object being scanned stays still-- in this one, the whole top of the scanner, including the glass, moves back and forth, and the scanner element stays still. That's fine for scanning papers, but not so good for oddly shaped objects like books, since you can't really press down on the lid.

Also, the auto-exposure produces kind of light scans.

Otherwise, it's very fast, and like it says, no warm up time. You just put the paper in, turn it on, and press "scan". ... Read more

Photo Paper Pro results at a standard Photo Paper price.
My father and I have been using the Photo Paper Pro line of Canon paper for some time now and have noticed a quality increase over the standard Photo Paper Glossy line.However, we have always been limited to either the standard gloss finish or the not so standard matte finish (which is quite good).These two types of paper are at opposite ends of the spectrum and are a bit extreme for certain prininting needs.So, when printing on the seemingly limited line of semi-gloss papers, both my father and I were very suprised at the Photo Paper Pro quality of this rather inexpensive paper.In addition, the balance between matte and gloss is exceptional.We both wish Canon would put out this semi-gloss version in all their standard larger sizes- and not just the 4" x 6" version.

Hits the mark!
This paper does what it is intended to do.It provides an affordable, quality option for printing snap shots.Would I use it to reproduce images to present in a gallery?No.But for images that require the highest quality prints I upload and print at a professional digital lab.However for printing snap shots to be sent to relatives and for my wife to use for scrapbooking this paper has proven to be the best.I have tried several papers on my Canon S520 printer, including canon's own line.I like this Kodak paper the best.With this paper I always get a reliable reproduction of my images.I would caution that it is important to follow Kodak's advandced settings recommendations to get the best prints.These are available in the package and at Kodak's web site.Kodak also offers free software to assist with the printing that will optimize the printer settings for the paper automatically.My wife (who is not computer savy) has found this program to be helpful in printing photos.I have found it helpful in that I no longer am needed to assist her every time she wants to print.

Excellent prints with Canon i560s printer
Using my Canon i560s printer, Kodak's recommended printer driver settings, and Kodak's free software for printing, this paper produces near flawless photos.They are semi-gloss (not high-gloss like Canon's Photo Paper Plus Glossy that comes with the printer).This paper has been reformulated recently (according to the packaging) and I will continue to use it for all photos.I have been unable to get Canon's software to print accurate colors on this paper - so use Kodak's!Canon's software (Easy Photo Print) won't print accurate colors even on their own Photo Paper Plus Glossy paper (and there is no way to manually tinker with the color settings in Easy Photo Print - you can in the Kodak software via the Canon print driver).If you run a comparison, you will see that Kodak has got the color thing nailed cold and Canon does not, regardless of paper type.

The only detectable flaw I've seen in any print on Kodak's Premium Picture Paper is on photos with very dark/black areas.If you hold the print at a sharp angle in bright light (you never would unless looking for this flaw) you can see a slight decrease in the reflectivness of these really dark areas that you don't see using the Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy paper.

Nobody who has looked at my prints (except me) has noticed this flaw - so don't worry about it.By the way, I much prefer the semi-glossy nature of this paper to Canon's Photo Paper Plus Glossy which truly is so glossy it can be annoying in some lighting conditions.

The Canon i560s uses dye-based ink for printing photos.I think pigment-based ink will have different results (Canon mixes the 3 dye-based colors to produce black when printing photos, as the black cartridge is pigment based in this printer).

This excellent quality high gloss photo paper would be my absolute Number ONE choice for printing home-photo's!! Without a doubt, the best I have ever used!!!!!!!!

Too much red on photos printed from HP PSC 2210
I used it on my HP PSC 2210 multifunction machine with 6-ink photo printing.The photos come out with too much red.The HP premium photo paper, on the other hand, produced photos that look exactly like the once developed in the local 1-hour photo lab.In short, avoid the Kodak premium photo paper if you have HP printers.

Great printer, great scanner, great copier, cheap ink
This is a marvelous device.I have had it for two days, have been printing/scanning/copying continuously (scanner+faxmodem=fax!), and am enormously happy with it.I can recommend it without qualification.
Printing is reasonably fast, the driver is very intuitive and allows for duplexing, colour/grayscale/b&w.The scanner is very high quality, performing all of colour/grayscale/b&w scanning, and the copying feature is really a gem.When coupled with a faxmodem, one can easily turn this setup into a fax machine, too, which is very handy.
Another benifit of this printer is the very cheap ink cartridges, when compared to other brands.I was able to print over 400 very-dense sides on one black ink cartridge.A non-brand-name replacement is $8 CAN, so is very reasonble and compares well with laser printersin price/page.
Perhaps the only drawbacks of this printer are its size and the occasional noisy bouts in which it immerses itself, but these are easily overlooked for the quality and functionality (not to mention the price!).

Great all around printer at a bargain price
One of the reviewer must be confused when mentioning that the scan takes five minutes.Very likely, the scan is set an an abnormally high quality/dpi rate, resulting in the the high quality and slow scan times the reviewer experienced.

Personally, I am able to scan documents and photos very quickly and efficiently.I usually leave the documents at around 150dpi, and photos at a much higher rate depending on the job.Also, this printer is very efficient in scanning documents.I can literally make pdf files of my documents in about a minute.

The claims that the ink cartridges are small do have merit, but the price of the ink cartridges are really really cheap and despite their diminuitive size they do last a very long time.Just remember to stock up on a few extra cartridges when buying them.

I have done a lot of research regarding technology and one of my recalled facts was PCmagazine doing a comparison of per page ink printing.When it really came down to it, Canon really was the cheapest to print per page.Although the cost is cheap, I can personally attest that the cheapness of the printing does not result in any sacrifice to quality.

This printer supports very high quality printing and I have printed many photos in conjunction with the Canon Photo paper.They turn out really well.They're not photo lab quality, but they are definitely good quality.

Finally, for the price that Amazon charges for such a fine printer, I'm surprised they still have these in stock.The current price they charge is actually about the same discounted price as department stores charge for Black Friday Specials.

Definitely a great printer at a great price.

Bad scanner, (Very very slow!) Good Printer
Scans are slow, slow slow slow!! Slow to the point of uselessness, to scan a copy of my Amazon receipt took over 5 minutes, as opposed to my older Epson 1660 which took 4 seconds.The MP370 is USB 1.0 vs the Epson's USB2.0, (why the Mp370 takes so long?) On the plus side the scans are sharp and detailed once they finally arrive, and the prints are nice, though there are only 2 cartridges: a very small Color one and a cheap nice BW, unlike most other newer Canons that feature individual color specific ones. If I could return it, I would. Then I would get a nice Canon printer with individual tanks and a nice Epson scanner separately. As a bonus this solution would work with my OSX Macs, (the MP370 features NO mac drivers, even just for printing.)

Love this printer
Compared this one to various printers in the HP line and I am glad I bought this one!I also have an HP officejet 630 on our other computer, which has worked well.Scanner jams ocassionally, not a flatbed.It was time to buy a flatbed scanner/printer/copier to go with our new Dell 4600 with XP home.The reviews on the HP were toublesome since a lot of people had to contact HP tech for help and were pretty discouraged with the response, software and printer problems out of the box.
The printer and software were very easy to install with no problems, under 10 min.First thing I did was print out some photos on photo paper and they turned out great!It was a snap.Scanner worked well and produced a pretty nice image.The copier was also tested right away and did a great job.Black and white text printed out pretty fast.This one also can print photos directly from your digital camera media.The mp360 can't.
Another great thing about the printer is the ink is very affordable, 6 to $7 retail, cheaper online.A welcome relief compared to my HP, at 26 to $30.
All in all for the price you can't beat it!

Not compatible with canon printer
Its not compatible with Canon iP 3000- no matter whatever setting you use. Paper quality is good , but if you print using canon printer you will get best quality on Canon brand paper or other generic paper (walgreens). Quality of picture on this Kodak paper is inferior, grainy.

Extremely Great Paper
This is very high quality paper. Pictures look just like you had a photo lab develop them. This paper is not as glossy as the Canon Photo Pro, so if you want the glossiest paper buy the Canon Photo Pro. If you like your prints glossy yet not to the extreme this is the paper for you.

Disappointing photo quality paper.
I use an Epson Photo 780 and I take my photographs seriously, so Kodak was my first choice and I expected the best quality from them.Although I own an EOS D30 digital camera, I still prefer to use Kodachrome in my EOS 5 and prefer Kodak paper for my analog prints.

I was both surprised and disappointed to find I got better results from the Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper and the Jet Print Professional Photo Paper, Superior Glossy Finish (International Paper).The color looks good on the Kodak paper and I love the thickness of this stock, but the finish is not as smooth and photo-finish like as the other two papers.The images on this paper look like they were computer printed with inkjet;a slight embossed appearance, when viewed from the edge.With the other two papers, the photos have a perfectly smooth surface and feel like they were analog photo printed.In addition, in my experience the Jet Print paper from International Paper was considerably less expensive too!

Best glossy I've used for HP 900 series.
I've tried numerous papers on my aging HP 970 CXi and HP 930C printers, and for glossy prints Kodak Ultima is by far the best.The paper is thick, heavy, and relatively durable.Even heavy black areas dry quickly.Greyscale looks like greyscale, not like sepia as it does on many other papers.Colors are vibrant with sharp edges, and true to the original, especially when the saturation is boosted one notch in the print driver.I have not been able to test the paper on other printers, but if it's anything like this you won't be dissapointed. ...
