    Product Description

Since AirPort antennas are built into all new computers from Apple, all you need to add is an internal AirPort Extreme Card for each AirPort Extreme-ready system you want to bring onto a wireless network. This will allow you to join any of the thousands of Wi-Fi certified 802.11b wireless hot spots that are currently running in coffeehouse, bookstores, airports, and even some restaurants.2

The AirPort Extreme Base Station provides a wireless connection between Macintosh systems with AirPort and AirPort Extreme Cards and your Internet connection. It can be used in conjunction with an Ethernet connection (such as for a cable modem, DSL modem, or Ethernet network) through the integrated Ethernet port, or with a telephone linethrough a modem.

2 Fees may apply for hot spot access.

1-0 out of 5 stars Extreme Card
I bought an Extreme Card for my G4 from ameris and it was faulty
didn't load and wouldn't let the computer come on.Sent a note on the feedback and didn't get any response.Looks like I will have to eat the card and the cost. Not very happy with the vendor that amazon let sell the product on their site.

5-0 out of 5 stars Do not buy from Mac-pro.com
Great item, but do not buy from mac-pro.com.Received a defective card and they were unwilling to replace it.I am left with all shipping charges and a 20% RESTOCKING fee. Will you end up buying my defective card?I got another card from another vendor and it works really well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to install and set up
I bought this for a IMac G5.It took less than 5 minutes to install (open computer case, plug antenna cable into card, slide card in slot, close case, power up).All that was left was to insert setup CD and about 1 minute later my existing wireless network was recognized and available.Reception of the wireless signal appears to be slightly stronger than what I get with my Dell laptop and its card however I have no accurate way to measure.

It does exactly what I bought it for which was hassle free access to my network.

5-0 out of 5 stars WDS! (Signal Repeating = Extended Range)
Despite apple's official word on this, the Airport Express's WDS capability can be used not only with Apple Basestation's but also the Linksys WRT54G (Which is the best, in my opinion. **Google for information on how to configure**)I finally have the A.E. setup as a repeater on my home network, which allows me to connect its ethernet port into a computer (or xbox) and it becomes attached to my WRT54G's wireless network. No more running wires downstairs to play xbox live!Airtunes is also flawless, as well as my Canon i860 that's attached. Both PC and MAC work flawlessly with this device!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great product
All you need to do is bring your computer within range of a wireless hub and it automatically connects. Gadgetmaster has no clue what he is talking about, he is just using this as an excuse to bash Apple. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Should have bought this one first!
Apple builds products that are easy for anyone to use. They don't require a lot of knowledge about the hardware. The base station was very easy to set up.The Airport Setup Assistant runs you through all of the important steps in language that is as plain as possible. If you want finer control, you can then move to the Airport Admin Utility.

The only problem I ran into during setup was getting the base station to work with my Comcast cable service. The first call to tech support ran me through the essential setup items, making sure that I had everything set up properly. The second call was to Comcast, who said it certainly wasn't their problem.Back to Apple. After that call, I really can't say enough good things about Apple's tech support. For one, it's not outsourced. You're talking to someone who speaks English very well. The second thing is that they're not working off of a script as far as I can tell. They try the standard fixes, of course, but they're able to work with whatever comes up.After probably 30 minutes or so of trying everything we could think of, the support person went up the chain - I've never seen that from tech support before - to a product specialist. When that advice didn't work the next step was to actually have me talk to a product specialist.By that time it was 30 minutes or so after quitting time on a Friday, so the product specialist was no longer available. The support rep actually apologized for not being able to put me on the line with the specialist.I was impressed that he worked as long as he did after quitting time on a Friday without any hint of trying to hurry along and get rid of me.I was about to call tech support again today (Saturday), but decided to give the setup one more try.It worked!I don't know why or how the problem was solved.I'm just happy it all works now.

The Airport Extreme Base Station is a little expensive, but compared to the grief I've had with a less expensive wireless router, and the excellent support I received from Apple, I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

5-0 out of 5 stars A snap to set up and use!
The Airport Extreme from Apple is all that the information and video says that it is.Easy to set up, use, and maintain.

If you have a wired or wireless network and are looking for a way to upgrade or expand your current network, then this product is for you.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent, but needs better Windows software
This is an excellent product and certainly recommend it. However, the included configuration software for Windows XP is not easy to use. For example, it lacks an easy way to determine whether log-in to a PPP over Ethernet account has been successful. The software for my old Linksys router was much better. This was surprising to me considering this is an Apple product. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this product.

5-0 out of 5 stars Couldn't live without it now...
My husband and I finally decided to try living wirelessly, and for those of you still plugged into the wall, you don't know what you're missing!

We both use laptops, and it's just so convenient to be able to carry our laptops around with us and access the internet from anywhere in our apartment. I search for recipes online, and sit my laptop on the kitchen bench to substitute recipe books. Forgot to send an email? no need to get out of bed - you can send an email from anywhere in your house (providing you have a laptop).

This unit would suit both laptop and desktop computers, but it's more suitable to laptop. We are now considering purchasing the Apple Airport Extreme so that we can have wireless internet when traveling, as well as use it as an airport within our apartment when we are home.

Sure, apple airports costs more that other wireless units, but you are paying for a name you can trust, reliability, and a quality product.

    Highly highly highly recommended!

4-0 out of 5 stars Another Apple winner...
Though Apple consumer computers and laptops are a phenomenal value for what you get, the AirPort Extreme base station is a little pricey. My LinkSys WAP died, so I got this to match my other Apple hardware despite cheaper alternatives being available. What impressed me most was the ease of use and that alone is worth the premium to me.

This model has all the security bells and whistles and Apple is good about updating drivers, as appropriate.

In attempt to be objective, I'm giving it only 4 stars because it's somewhat expensive versus the competition. However, for quality and ease of use it gets a solid 5 star rating. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Good for light laptops only......... hinges tear off easily
When I first got this bag, it worked great. After about 3 months of regular use of bringing my laptop to school, I noticed the fake leather over the hinges for the shoulder strap started to tear, and eventually, they both broke off.I basically dropped my laptop the first time this happened and was not in a good mood.I hooked the straps on to the handle hinges which seemed to be a little sturdier, but they just tore off also. The construction of the hinges to the bag are not very good, as they rely upon the fake leather and a little (too small) of a a bolt that just goes into the bag (no washer on the inside to deter the bolt from pulling off the bag). The laptop I have is an older IBM T20 with an AC adapter and an extra battery.I'm guessing this is too heavy for the bag, even though the laptop is relatively light.I would never buy this model again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Case for Casual or Business Traveler
This Samsonite L35 laptop carrying case is exactly what I need for both everyday and travel use.I have it for each of my laptops. Not only does it carry all the necessary notebook requirements (power cable, ethernet cable, files, etc.), but everything else such as my wallet, phone, and external drives.

The added padding protected my laptop from its demise after a few accidental mishaps. Thanks, Samsonite!!!

For my personal laptop, I have a Sony VAIO with a 13.3" screen, and it carries all of the necessities, which include a wireless optical mouse.

For my work laptop, I have an HP (Mobile Centrino) with a 15" screen, and it fits it perfectly!I carry more things, which include a wireless optic mouse, a wireless USB network adapter (to supplement/increase the gain of the internal wireless card on my notebook), and a CD wallet case. The other great thing about this case is the "flap" that can fit onto my carry-on luggage pull handle. If one didn't know what this was for, it can be easily mistaken for an external compartment with a "design flaw" of having the bottom of the pocket open.I travel at least once a month to give lectures in Universities and Conferences, so this is a definitely a big design advantage for travelers. But if you would like to stitch up the bottom, please feel free.

Conclusion:It is small enough to be conveniently used for everything I need it for, yet big enough to carry everything that I need.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Value and a Very well made product
I was looking for a simple briefcase that can occasionally carry a laptop and withstand the rigors of daily commute.I considered the comparable Kensington model, which didn't look as slick and tapered as this one.The comparable Targus model had a Zebra color scheme that was more suitable for a high schooler.

The case is thoughtfully designed, from the well-padded handles and large satin-finished zippers to interior pockets that have velcro strap that prevents your PDA from falling out, etc.Despite its low price, the case radiates quality that makes it appear more expensive.

The only downside is the dearth of interior space made smaller by the necessary padding, and the awkward backpocket with a large hold at the bottom that, while designed to fit over the handles of Samsonite luggages, makes putting a smaller book or catalog there a dicey proposition.Samsonite should modify the design to incorporatea zipper so that the hole can be opened/closed.

But it's hard to beat the value.Recommended for those looking for a simple and rugged briefcase that also looks professional.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice Case For The Essentials
The case is well-built and seems rugged. It is all nylon, good-looking and devoid of any leather accents. The shoulder strap is padded and has webbing on one side for slip-resistance; the zippers and handle have a comfortable rubberized feel though I think the handle could be a little stiffer. All the metal parts have a nice satin finish.

My 15" screened HP ze4900 series laptop fits perfectly into the padded pocket in the main compartment. This pocket doesn't allow you to open the laptop while it is inside the case and can impede removal of the computer when the bag is partially unzipped (slightly inconvenient at an airport security station or while on a plane) but it does offer good protection. There is a velcro strap to secure the computer inside the pocket but it is too short to be useful and the case is snug enough that I don't use it at all.

There are two additional pockets in the main compartment for accessories and a larger pocket for files.Filling the accessory pockets with a mouse and charger does create some bulging but I feel this is acceptable when compared to the Kensington case which has a bigger footprint and was too big for this computer. The file pocket can only handle a half-inch worth of papers with the computer and accessories loaded.

The front pocket has space for a PDA or cell phone, pens and business cards, maybe a pair of sunglasses and travel documents.

With regard to the rear pocket, it is really not a pocket but a sleeve that allows the case to be slipped over a rolling suitcase handle.I didn't think much of it until I used it and now I think it is the best feature of this case -- wonderful for travel, looks slick, and is quite secure. And if you are using a black Samsonite suitcase so much the better for overall appearance. This sleeve also has a zippered compartment but I haven't used it because it is small and its contents are subject to bending if you are using the sleeve with a suitcase.

Overall a good case if you like compact size, simplicity, and style over tremendous capacity.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Laptop Case
I have a Dell Latitude X300.Fits the case and holds all accessories. As for the outer pocket, I put my papers in a folder first and they don't fall out.
    Great material.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent stand for 12" iBook and 15" Powerbook
I bought this stand two years ago to hold my 12" iBook. It raised the iBook so the screen was comfortably at eye-level, and cleared desktop space for all the wires, USB hub, external FW drive, Palm, etc. that I have on my desk.I recently upgraded to a 15" Powerbook, and the iCurve supports it wonderfully.I also attached a 17" external monitor, and the two screens of the laptop and monitor are at the same eye-level.

4-0 out of 5 stars beautiful and functional although...
...I just wish there was some way to make it more shake-resistant!What I mean is that when I get up from the desk if I bump the desk slightly then my laptop ends up shaking quite a bit---not so much that I'm worried it could actually slip off the stand, but I do worry about it causing damage to the laptop's internal parts, i.e. if the hard disk is spinning at the moment, wouldn't a sudden hard vibration like that possibly damage the laser and/or the disk?

Otherwise it's certainly a beautiful stand and I love that now I no longer have to tilt my head slightly down because now my laptop monitor is finally at the correct height, level to my natural line of sight.

Oh well, guess I'll just have to be more careful around my desk from now on...

5-0 out of 5 stars Stronger Than You Think
I purchased the iCurve for my 17" PowerBook so I would have more room on my desk for a Bluetooth keyboard. It has worked out beautifully and it's practically invisible. I didn't even apply the extra no-slip pads provided with the stand and it stays in place very well.

An added bonus is that it keeps my laptop's processor nice and cool since air can circulate underneath and all around the unit - unlike when it's sitting against a desk where heat is trapped.

For the money and aesthetics, this stand is highly worth it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Even for heavy notebooks, this stand is a winner.
As this stand is marketed toward the light-weight iBooks, I was a bit apprehensive about using it for my notebook, which weighs in at just under 10 pounds.Would the elegant iCurve crack under the pressure? No.I haven't even used the rubber pads to keep it in place.I am completely impressed. What's more, it saves me about six inches of desk space as my wireless keyboard slips nicely underneath. My only sadness with the stand is that it positioned my laptop about an inch too high (probably because my monstrous laptop is quite a bit thicker than the intended iBook), and I've now had to prop up my second monitor to compensate. Were it somehow adjustable, it would be perfect.

2-0 out of 5 stars Ok stand but not good for keyboards
I agree that a laptop stand for more than casual use is very practically a necessity and helps posture, so anything is better than nothing, but I found this one was actually bulky and too hard to use with a keyboard -- you can't really prop a keyboard up on the fat plastic, it slides off. If you put the keyboard in front of the stand, it's too close to you and if you put it on the stand there is not enough room to type. I had to use my G4 15" Ti full-tim on a job out of town for a month, so I broke down and bought the Kamas and found it to be much better - yes it's more expensive, but if you use an external keyboard, it's worth it.

I found the Kamas to be much more "transparent" in the sense that it really disappears under your laptop instead of the bulky plastic, that while the iClear is clear, it feels bulky and bounces around to the touch. The Kamas is solid, no movement at all. I often use it with a TFT 15" or 18" monitor and it's a great combo. You can slide the keyboard under it on a gentle slope and adjust the height as well, so for someone who uses my laptop for work, again, it was well worth the extra money. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Deep, Indulgent, Complete, and Elegant
This thing needs a manual!I ordered it after realizng that my laptop and my camera were never going to get along in normal briefcases, backpacks, or photo bags.I started searching the net for combination camera and computer bags and this is where I ended up.The bag arrived today and it exceeds expectations. The product description did not communicate to me that there is a roll-up waterproof cover that comes out of the bottom of the backpack to cover and protect the backpack in the rain (why doesn't my backpacking pack do this????).The product description does not do justice to the wealth of pockets that are on the front of the bag.About 85% of the depth of the pack is consumed by the camera equipment compartment. The remaining 15% is dedicated to the laptop compartment. Not a problem unless you were hoping to carry 2 laptops in that compartment. Can't wait to trave with this. This is going to be great!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great bag!Very versatile.
The Lowepro CompuTrekker AW is a great bag! When I first received it, I realized it was much larger than I expected. However, once I started using it, I realized that it is designed very well.I enjoy photographing/video taping my baby daughter.I'm able to fit my SLR with a few lenses, video camera, digital camera, film, and all the associated accessories with ease.I currently don't use the laptop slot, but I thought that would come in handy for holding books/manuals/maps/etc.When I do eventually go into digital, I'll have that space for a laptop. The straps are extremely comfortable and the tripod holder is a nice added touch.I hope not to get caught in severe weather, but it's nice to know there is the all-weather (AW) built-in cover.
Overall, the bag is well-designed.It is well-padded, has enough pockets for accessories, and comfortable. The only drawback is the size, but then again, you can't really go smaller to carry what I carry. If you want to shave weight/size, consider the standard mini-trekker without the laptop pocket. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A sturdy, but heavy, bag
I've had the bag for about a week.It is one of the more sturdy-feeling bags I've come across -- the computer is extremely well protected inside multiple nested padded compartments. We'll see how well it actually holds up over time.It has a nice bag-within-bag design, so the computer can be safely transported (around campus, say) using just the inner bag, without the weight of the full bag.Lots of other little storage pouches, etc, and enough room for some books or large files. But don't expect to carry your computer AND several large textbooks... I don't think they would all fit.Nevertheless, this is probably as large a bag as anyone would want to carry on a daily basis.

The downside:This bag is heavy and large. It puts a strain on the shoulder when carried loaded for more than a minute or two. Also, the inner computer sleeve is presumably designed to hold 15"-15.4" notebooks, but even with the elastic sides on the inner sleeve, it is an extremely tight fit for my 15.4" Inspiron 6000.Maybe it will loosen up over time.(I could dispense with the inner sleeve since it is detachable, but then the computer would slide around in the larger compartment, which I want to avoid. So I squeeze into the sleeve as best I can.)

1-0 out of 5 stars OK if not used heavily
When I first received my carrying case, I was impressed. It seemed quite durable (tough fabric and hard contour padded back) then proved otherwise...

I _DO NOT_ recommend using this case if you have a large and heavy notebook (as are all 17" notebooks).

After a few months the padded shoulder strap which I thought was comfortable ended up ripping at the ends (where the pressure is when worn on the shoulder). Then I contacted customer service to get the strap replaced. While I'm waiting for a new strap I started to carry it everyday to work by the handles...then, yup...it broke!

Customer service needs serious improvement.I've opened so many support tickets with them but because of the language barrier (India of course), it was not a pleasant experience. I eventually got them to give me a refund.

I would give this a 5 out of 5 if they only improved the design:make the bag REALLY able to support the weight of a 17" laptop, huge power brick and books...otherwise, look elsewhere.

Especially one that has a sturdy shoulder strap and handles!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Notebook Bag!
I've been using the my Contour Pro since mid June of 2004. I've mainly used it on my college campus, and I must say it's been great. I can easily fit my laptop, and books. In fact the pocket at the end of the bag (which is curved) is perfect for books! My only complaint would be for a longer strap so you could wield the bag across your chest (for 6' guys it feels awkward).

Great deal at ~60USD. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Cheap and cheerful
My 15 inch tohiba fits nicely and feels secure. This is a great case for the money you pay.

However there's no room for the cord, so that goes in the front pouch making it a little bulky.

4-0 out of 5 stars good bag... could be a little bigger though !
this is a good bag for the price!. It has lots of nifty spaces to keep your office stuff. But if you have a 15" laptop then you may have to remove or shift around some of the padding!

but overall its a good decent quality bag and hence I give it 4 stars !

    regards,
    Sumit.

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST THING EVER makin fun of comic book guy from the simpson
This is so good. i looked at around 40 or so stores and stores online for a bag that my laptop would fit in i have a 15 inch widescreen and i thought i had to buy the bag that they were offering me for $50 when i bought this laptop. my laptop fits so good in this bag. if you have a laptop bigger then a 15 inch wide screen do not buy this if you have a smaller laptop this has a belt kind of thing that will protect it and you can put your charger in it. only buy this product if you have a 15 inch widescreen or smaller other wise it is to big for the case.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice one!!!
It is an amazing bag for the price. Everything is perfect but one would struggle to fit a book with the laptop. I was looking for a bag where I could even fit a book which is not the case. But I can not actually complain as it is very cheap.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good bag
I have a 15 in Toshiba and it fits snuggly in this case. There are a few problems: there's no room for the cord, so that goes in the front pouch (making it a little bulky)
Also the strap is not the best. The shoulder padding is bad and slips around a lot.
Kensington is cheap and well made, just be careful if you're clumsy. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Not for 17" Laptops
I have a 17" Alienware running a 3GHz Pentium 4 which gets hot.Although the cooler is a stable platform for the computer itdoesn't reduce the heat on the left side. The fans are louder than advertized and must do some good as the computer's fans don't run as much.It doesn't draw enough power to have a noticeable effect on battery life.I purchased the cooler knowing it's only 13" using the Amazon Visa offer so for an out of pocket cost of $0 it was worth a try.

4-0 out of 5 stars It works
I have an HP Pavilion ze5375us notebook computer. This is a full powered, desktop replacement machine and it runs hot. It has three fans to keep it cool. The fans can get very noisey and the computer still occasionally over heats and shutdown down. I've been propping up the backup of the machine in an effort to increase airflow. While this helps, it hasn't completely solved the over heating problem.

I finally decided to get one of the "powered" colling devices. I looked at the Targus Notebook Chill Pad and the Antec Notebook Cooler. The Targus devices looked cheaply constructed (all plastic) while the Antec device appeared to be of higher quality. I was confused by the Amazon user reviews, because they indicate that the Targus device has a higher satisfaction rating than the Antec. I was concerned at some of the reviews indicating that the Target device didn't provide much air circulation (but it was quiet). On the other hand, the Antec device was critizised for being louder than a wisper.

I finally made my decision based upon size. My machine is fairly large and it dwarfed the Targus device. However it fits well on the Antec (even with a docking station attached).

So what do I think of my decision? I've been using the Antect Notebook Cooler for three days now. The fans are definitely audible. They make about as much noise as you would expect from a small fan (2 actually). Since my computer has three noisey fans in it already, overall, it isn't any more noisey than what I was already accustomed to. I actually took the fan noise as a positive feature, after all I wanted the cooler to actually work and cool down the notebook.

The power connector will definitely cause you problems if you move the notebook/cooler combination around a lot. I'll keep the cooler on the desk most of the time and I'll be careful otherwise.

The computer seems to be running cooler than before. Areas of the computer that get very hot before the cooler, are now warm to the touch. So all-in-all, I'm satisfied with the purchase.

For those of you who are overly concerned about the fan noise, I would suggest looking at the Targus Podium Coolpad or simply propping up the computer with something (I received complements for using a box of staples). Good luck with your choice.

1-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work too well...
Bought this because my emachines was overheating to the point of shutting down. After I got the cooling pad, the laptop still kept overheating and shutting down.I don't know how much cooling effect the pad actually has, other reviewers say their temperature gauges show lower temps, but my laptop stayed as hot as ever.In fact, my internal fan seemed to turn on MORE often after I started using the pad. It's really loud. And after a few months, the power plug stops working property.

4-0 out of 5 stars not a miracle, but still a good gadget
I looked into buying this gadget because of all the heat that my laptop was generating. the weather was already getting hot in the middle of April, and my folks weren't going to turn on the air conditioner -- and so my laptop was billowing out heat like a furnace! My computer wasn't starting to fail or anything like that, but I was worried about it. I ended up buying this cooling pad,and it does help a little bit. I don't completely agree with some of the reviews here that mentioned that it doesn't help any if you have a laptop that has its cooling vents on the side, because I think it can -- the bottom of my laptop usually gets very hot, and putting the pad underneath has helped. Before I put that pad in, the air coming out of the side vent was very hot, and the fan always had to kick up into its fastest mode. After I put the pad underneath, the fan didn't have to kick up into its fastest mode anymore, and it didn't feel like it was pushing out fire anymore. LOL

I'd have to say that this gadget has helped a bit, but it's not a miracle. Still, though, if you really care about extending the life of your equipment, and possibly making your equipment less sluggish, it's probably worth the 30 bucks.

PS: I use speech recognition software on my computer on a regular basis, and I have noticed an improvement in the recognition time between when I say words, and when they come up on the screen. I don't know if this has to do with heat being taken away from the processor, but it may. I've heard that heat can cause a processor to slow down.

4-0 out of 5 stars Do its work perfect !!!
I have a Toshiba A70, (Pentium IV with 703Mb Ram and 64Mb of video) and i think more heat than mine, doesn`t exist.

The design is pretty nice, its the only cooler that is near the size of my laptop (15.4"), the other models are smallest, before the cooler, (more if you are playing) the keyboard wentvery hot, extremelly hot, to put the hands over it, after use the cooler is near cold...,

I can't say the fans are the most quiet thing on earth, but my laptop already have 2 fans, and are full operation most the time.., so more louder impossible, and since the cooler`s fans are more quiet, i think its a progress.
Low power consumption, and the usb extension not bother the other close usb connector.
It have enough space between the cooler and the laptop.
And for god shake just 29$?? what are you looking for?? gold and diamonds???
Believe me, it does it work good.. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Works for me.
I'm doing the Folding@home Distributed Computing work on my G3/900 iBook. It is very processor intensive and it heats up the bottom of the iBook something wicked. So I bought this Antec Notebook Cooler. Nice aesthetic match to the white iBooks.

Unfortunately the G3 iBooks don't have CPU temp sensors. But the hard drives do. The hard drive temp has dropped from 47°C to 43°C (7.2° F drop). I would bet the CPU temperature has dropped even more.

My only complaint is that I wish it had a high and low fan setting. It's a tad loud. For reference it is about the same, or perhaps a little louder than the iBooks internal fan.

But overall, nice fit and finish. iBooks fan hasn't come on all day. It's a keeper.

2-0 out of 5 stars Nice, but not suitable for a powerbook g4
After my Dell laptop overheated, I knew that when I purchased my powerbook g4, I would take as many precautions as I could to keep it cool.A friend had purchased the Antec notebook cooler for his ibook and gave great reviews to me.

Right out of the box, the Antec notebook cooler is very aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. It's pretty quiet--not too noticeable, especially when you have a laptop on top of it.But after a few weeks of usage, I started noticing black smudges on the bottom of my powerbook. It was a nightmare to scrub off! After a bit of investigation , it looks like the culprit was the powerbook's aluminum casing rubbing against the Antec's aluminum surface. How unfortunate!

This "minor" glitch was ruining my $2600 powerbook's casing. So for now, I've resorted to flipping the notebook cooler upside down and using the bottom to rest my powerbook on top of, that is.. until I get a new notebook cooler. It is very crucial for me to have a notebook cooler, because I do tend to use my powerbook in bed a lot.And that's where it can get very warm from resting on cotton.

I'd recommend this notebook cooler if you have a black laptop... but definitely not one with aluminum casing. ... Read more
