3-0 out of 5 stars Good sound, poor MP3 functionality
1. Din't work right out of the box, had to exchange.
2. Can't complain about the sound; not an audiophile personally though.
3. Disappointed by the poor MP3 interface: after the power is turned off and then turned on again, the unit must re-read the MP3 CD (takes about a minute): my 3 yr-old portable TDK CD/MP3 player recognizes up to 4 recent CDs.Very annoying.
4. Skipping to the next song (in Shuffle mode, at least) takes too long.
5. Perennial MP3 problem: album/song titles don't fit on the screen.
6. Awkward MP3 directory navigation.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice, but not really "wall mountable"
Although no photo appears on the Amazon site, the TEAC MC-DX20B is described as "wall mountable." However, the larger, bulky subwoofer cannot be hung on the wall easily and would look goofy on a table top. And of course, the subwoofer really needs to be located near the speakers for the optimum sound - the instruction book even states that it needs to be positioned nearby.
I rated it four stars, however, because I would say that with respect to what is important in a stereo - the sound - it is definitely a winner. Unfortunately, I'll be returning mine for a more petite model that will fit my needs better. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice phone, nice features
I've been very pleased with this phone. The bright and large black on orange text display is a big improvement over older Panasonic black on green displays.Borrowing from cell phone functions, there are three soft keys for voicemail notification on/off, voice enhancer, and phone list, a nice touch. The handset is comfortable to use (albeit larger than many other brands), and the keypad has nice large keys that are easily dialed one-handedly.The good-quality speakerphone is also a handy option, as is the flashing light visible on the antenna tip to signal incoming calls or new voicemail.

Sound quality is excellent both in and out; I've not had any of the issues noted, and I did test via leaving messages on my cell phone. However, when the "Voice Enhancer" function is turned on, my voice did sound overamplified with feedback noise.I'm guessing that this function is designed for someone with a very soft voice, and that most users would be better off not engaging it.It is, though, a nice option for perhaps a child or the elderly person who needs their voice "enhanced".

Overall, with the $30 Panasonic rebate in place until the end of May, I rate this phone very highly on a price/value basis.I may purchase another.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best phone I've ever had
I've owned this phone for over a year, (...) My favorite feature is the speakerphone on the handset. This is so convenient. It even allows you to mute while on speakerphone.Great for those conference calls to the office when you're home with a sick child.Another great feature is that if you have voicemail with your phone company, a light on the antenna will flash to let you know you have a message. By the way, I have had none of the problems mentioned by others.

1-0 out of 5 stars Battery died in 6 months, never got the rebate.
I bought the phone and WAS satisfied with its quality even I didn't get the rebate. (Panasonic is famous for its bad rebate) But barely after 6 months, the battery totally died. I here DO NOT recommend this phone and I do not recommend any panasonic products with rebates.

2-0 out of 5 stars Panasonic's reputation got dinged with this phone
I too am disapointed in this phone. I've always been pleased with Panasonic products, but not this one. For me, the problems are when I'm too close to the base unit, the other party can't understand me. It seems when I'm further away it clears up. How Panasonic can release a phone to the market with this kind of obvious problem is beyond me. I like the features. I like the speakerphone. I like everything else about it, but if it can't do the basic function of talking to a caller, what good is it?

My recomendation is to avoid this model completely and hold out for something else.

1-0 out of 5 stars Voice Does Not Sound Clear To Others
I bought the Panasonic KX-TG5050W and charged the battery for six hours as recommended.I made test calls to friends. I heard them clearly, but they all said that my voice sounded muffled and had an echo. This is unacceptable.I returned the phone and bought the Panasonic KX-TG2313W.This is a great phone.I don't believe it is available in black. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars no phone
the nokia 7280 is not listed.I have one and want a car charger for it

5-0 out of 5 stars A very good and reliable charger
I bought this charger primarily for road trips. It takes me about 1 1/2 hour to charge my phone, and hence you might not need it that much if all you do is commute. It does however add the advantage of unlimited talk time in your car, whenever you do need it.

The charger has a very solid feel, and it appears to be very good craftsmanship. It has proven to be very durable. I've owned and frequently used this charger for more than 2 1/2 years now, and I've never had anything go wrong with it. In my opinion, it works better than you could expect after that long of a time. It's been kept in my car permanently since I bought it, and by that has been exposed to excessive Arizona heat for weeks on end. With the desert heat comes the cooldown at night, so the temperature difference it's been exposed to has also been great. The charger has a convenient, little light to show you when it's charging.

The charger's cord is a "feisty" one, so don't expect it to be too cooperative if you try to stretch it very far.

All in all a charger you should expect to charge your Nokia phones (no surprises there?) for a long, long time, no matter what you put it through. The charger is very reliable and durable, and I highly recommend it. 5 STARS!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Cell Charger
We upgraded phones and I needed a charger for my car so I orderd one for my car and at the price Amazon had it for what a deal. Also, it shipped very quickly. Then my husband borrowed mine and I had to order another for him.So we have two of them and they both work very well and we are pleased with their performance. These are fast chargers and they work very well.I had heard, however, that fast chargers are not good for cell batteries. That they can wear out your batteries faster but was not sure so if you have any doubts ask your phone dealer or battery provider.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works for me!
I needed a car charger for my Nokia phone but did not want to pay [$$$] for one at the celluar stores. The cord is a little short but this is fine with me since it still reaches the passenger seat or the cup holder. It serves its purpose. It's nice not having a long cord in the way. Thanks!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
This product works but is disappointing. I've been using it everyday for three months now and have decided to get rid of it. Although it's adjustable, even at the lowest setting the volume really is too loud. I have to remove it when I dial or the tones actually start hurting. Also, if the other person happens to speak loudly it gets painful fast. I solved this by taping in some cotton - but, really, that's not what I paid for! It's nice to have a mute button, but, as another reviewer points out, it's too close (adjacent) to the button that hangs up the phone. I've hung up on people when I was rushing to turn off mute several times now. Last but not least, the microphone is too finicky. It has to be placed in just the right place or people say they can't hear me. I know a lot of people are too polite to say anything and just grin and bear it. Caller ID also is lacking.

1-0 out of 5 stars Only good if you don't care what the other person is saying
I use this phone at work. I have been looking for a replacement. The features are nice and the headset holder is nice to have, but it has one terrible flaw - the clarity is non-existent! It sounds like the person on the other end is talking through a pillow. Turning up the volume doesn't help, either, it only amplifies the fuzz. We have another, older Plantronics phone that has much better sound quality, so maybe we just got a faulty one. I wouldn't risk it, though.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Performer!
I needed a phone for a home office. This phone was recommended and I bought it through an Amazon affiliated merchant. It is my 1st handsfree phone and I love the convenience of it! No more neck aches. Sound quality is as good or better than my cordless phone and no interference so far from any of the other equipment in the office. Small size base, comfortable headset. I would change 2 things - the MUTE button is right above the ON/OFF button and could cause an embarrassing hangup. The other is a longer headset cord. It appears to be about three feet long. Otherwise very nice!

5-0 out of 5 stars great quality!
This is the second model of this phone I have purchased - I'm a repeat buyer because the first one worked out so well.Great, clear sound quality, and a comfortable headset.I prefer a corded phone to cordless for the security factor, and because in a power outage a cordless phone is not operable. If you want a corded phone with a headset, this is the one!

1-0 out of 5 stars Picks Up Radio Signals
I purchased this phone for use in a home office and discovered immediately that it picked up a local radio station at a very audible level.I visited the Plantronics website and discovered that were well aware of this problem because it was listed in the FAQ on how to address the situation which they claimed was cause by living too close to radio station towers (we don't live near any radio towers). It went on to suggest ordering a filter to be installed between the phone and the headset control unit, but since this model has the head set control and phone fully integrated, I was doubtful of the solution. The alternative was to try several different locations and I finally discovered that if the phone was placed in my closet, the intereference dissappeared.I finally threw it away because of this ridiculous issue.Apart from this, it's a great phone, but this fatal flaw made it useless to me though I'm sure some users may never encounter this problem. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars poor design
1. Remote operation: You cannot use a cell phone to check messages remotely on this phone (Southwest Bell Help Line) making this service useless for most operators.
2. Limited technical help - required four days to have phone call returned.
3. Poor sound quality on the digital message system.
4. Garbled instructional messages built into the machine which cannot be turned off.

2-0 out of 5 stars poor design
It works, and it takes messages, but I expected more.

1) You need the manual to use this one - nothing is intuitive.
i.e. There are TWO buttons labeled erase, and they only work in certain modes. huh?
2) To set the time, you cannot use the key pad, you have to use the review side switch to go through minute-by-minute with the annoying/scary son of Dek Talk voice saying every minute... by the time it says minute FORteeFIVE I wished I had waited until 1 AM to set it.
3) It has to tell you the instructions verbally every time you use it - I couldn't figure out how to turn the annoying voice off.
4) Annoying voice.
5) Even with all the audio information it does not have a beep function to signal new messages.

4-0 out of 5 stars very nice multi-function corded telephone.great price.
We bought this phone to replace a cordless phone that kept getting intermittent interference. It works great with no interference. We replaced the short cord that came with it with a 25 foot cord.We still don't have the freedom of a cordless, but we don't have the static either.

I really like the look of the phone, stylish without going off the deep end.The automated voice for the instructions and default greeting could be a little more pleasant.Overall, I am really happy with the phone and so is my wife (which is the most important thing). ... Read more
