Great Audio, Crappy Earhook
I found this phone to be comfortable and the sound quality is great.The enormous defect of this phone is the earhook.I can get it to conform well to my ear and it doesn't move.However, both earhooks broke very easily after about 4 months total.

Now I have a great earphone which isn't hands free, and thus useless.

It wouldn't fit, then it broke
I lost my generic earbud headset and bought the Jabra EarWrap as a replacement, with high hopes.The unit appears to blend form and function, offering the convenience of a compact hands-free headset with a boom mike for increased outbound audio quality.

The reality of the headset was very disappointing.I was unable to secure the headset to my ear in a way that prevented it from flopping around my face with the slightest head movement.I eventually achieved almost satisfactory results by giving the flexible ear attachment hook a good squeeze (it's pliable) each time I put on the headset.This worked until the attachment hook snapped near its base.I returned the headset to my local retailer who reported that the broken ear hook was a recurring problem with this headset design.

I can't get it to stay on my ear.No matter how hard I try to get it to stay, it just won't.The sound seems OK if you hold it on your ear, but what good is it if it isn't hands free.

This earwrap [stinks].. the only good thing about it is that it can stay in your ear if you get the right position and that it looks nice, that about it. i just got around to use it and when i did the other end was like "is there a fly in your room?" theres is this buzzing sound that is so annoying to listen to and both ends can hear it. im going out and getting myself another kind/brand..

Finally, a good earset.
This earset is great.I didn't think that it would pick up my voice since the microphone is in the ear but I've had comments that the sounds is better than with my other earset.The sound quality is excellent and it's comfortable to wear!Try saying that with most of the other earsets out there.Very pleased.

Great product
I have used this product every day for 18 months, at least one hour per day.My first set died after 11 months, but they replaced it with no problem.It is by far the most comfortable and hassle-free headet I have ever used.Wind is an issue, but that is the same for all head-sets.Trust me, this is a good product.I have turned 5-6 friends on to this ear piece, and they all love it as well.

Some surprises, some dissapointments
The Jabra earbud is surprising in its design.There is no mouthpiece to wrangle with, and no clip circling your ear.It is comfortable for indoor use.

The cool design is outweighed by the dissapointments.The rubber earpieces fall off after a few months of use, and once they come off, they keep falling off.The sound quality is marginal for the person you are calling (it transmits sounds to your ear quite well).I've had people complain that it sounds like I'm in a tunnel.Oh, and forget about using it on a windy day.It picks up quite a bit of wind noise.

The biggest dissapointment is it's durability.I hold the record, since mine lasted through about 12 months of "every other day" use.My cousin's went south after two months.My buddy had one which died after about four months.It appears that the internal wiring at the jack fails, resulting in clipped sounds and finally no sound at all.

My husband likes mine so much, I'm buying him his own
I have an earlier version of this and really like it.Because it comes with different size ear buds I was able to let my husband "borrow" mine.I had to practically steal it back from him - so now I'm getting one for him.

When my husband used this and called me, I was very impressed with the quality of sound.I've had other headsets that were more cumbersome and really made you sound like you were at the bottom of a well.
Sometimes I have a hard time hearing the person on the line while using this, but usally that's where there is noise activity around me and/or the person is also on a cell phone with a ear device.

Very comfortable

Not the greatest caller ID unit
Takes 3 AAA batteries that in our experience run out too quick. Other units we've owned have lower battery drain. Also the LCD display has poor contrast. All in all, I'd buy another one that costs a few bucks more.

Same Name, Better Box
My thanks to everyone who's taken the time to write a review. Reading the reviews and the product manuals enabled me to choose a Caller ID Box that suits me well. Prospective buyers should note that GE's improved this product: The current version stores 99 entries rather than the 60 stored by the earlier model. Perhaps they've modified the reflective material as well: Propped at a handy angle, the three-line readout is sharp, clear and easy to read. I've noticed none of the hesitations reported by other reviewers. Also worth noting: GE includes the line cord you'll need to install the box. A small point perhaps, but not every manufacturer does.

Attached to a single-line cordless phone, the GE Caller ID box performs very well for me. It's bright, clear and reliable. I'm happy to recommend it.

caller id not there when phone in use
GE unit works ok if line is not in use. If you have a call in progress and a new call beeps, I expect to see at least the number of the new call, but no new information occurs. My wife insists that since it has three display lines, it should indicate the new caller, because we have a phone with three display lines which works that way. We have tossed out the packing box. Maybe we expected more, because of the three line display on our phone. Anyway it works good before the call is answered, and the price was ok.

Poor display quality, and a wiring bug
Whatever happened to the good old days, when caller ID boxes featured readable displays?I have a 10-year-old and a 12-year-old unit both of which are far easier to read than this one.The digits contrast poorly with the background, and the display is covered with a cheap, shiny material which reflects light.There are five adjustable contrast settings: bad, worse, awful, atrocious, and worst.The polarity of the feed-through is reversed, which means that an older push-tone phone cannot be plugged in through the box (you can't dial out).Newer phones, and rotary phones, should work OK.When the caller is UNKNOWN (unavailable, out-of-area) the words UNKNOWN NUMBER blink, but very slowly, in an annoying way that forces you to wait a second to see what's going on.This box, in common with most others, cannot be used with a 2-line phone plugged into it (not even the phone will work, let alone the caller ID) because the manufacturer was too cheap to include two extra wires in the feed-through.Another feature missing from this and other boxes is a way to delete all calls from a specific number simultaneously (this would be especially handy with UNKNOWN calls).Not a great product, GE, but you're not alone, I guess. ... Completely Worthless
Doesn't hold a charge and caused the phone's range to decrease dramatically. Skip this and spend the extra $5 to get a battery from RadioShack.

complete rip-off -- beware
not only does this battery not hold a charge for longer than 30 minutes (even when initially charged for the suggested amount of time), it cuts in and out of power causing phone calls to be dropped. mine also arrived in a zip-lock bag with no warranty information and since amazon no longer provides a customer service telephone number, I'm not inclined to battle with them for assistance over a purchase that cost under $10. that said, this is likely to be my last purchase with them as there track record has sharply declined with each order over the past 3 years.

Very Unsatisfied
I'm very disappointed in this battery. The reason I bought a new battery was because my old battery couldn't retain its charge for more than an hour.This battery is no different. Even after a short phone conversation(<30 minutes), the battery is exhausted and the phone goes completely cold. It's like the manufacturer re-packaged used batteries to be resold. Furthermore, the battery was packaged in a small ziplock plastic bag with its own self-made label. As for the 1-year warranty. No warranty information was included in my packaging. Great product!
I just ordered two headsets because the one I got with my phone stopped working.Mind you, I didn't treat it very well and even after stepping on the ear piece twice (and keeping it held together with a rubber band) the thing was still working!It was only after repeated abuse that it finally fell apart.I figure that with two I'll cut down on having to transport it to and fro, as much.This is my first time ordering from Amazon and I'm hoping I won't be disappointed.Oh, and in response to the review dated 2-27-03 (cell phones and brain cancer in mice), the two studies mentioned have not been corroborated by any future studies conducted on the matter.See the FDA's reports (www.fda.gov/cellphones) and extensive international research compiled in a report by the Medical College of Wisconsin (www.mcw.edu).

Works Perfectly
(This review is based on use with the Nokia 8260)

About the best thing I can say about this hands-free set is that no one can tell I'm using it (or at least when I switch to it, I've never gotten a comment from the person on the other end that I suddenly sound different). Reception through the ear bud is equally clear (you'll probably want to turn the volume down on your phone when using it).

I don't have much more to say except that I'm very satisfied with the product. I use my cell phone as my primary phone, so for long conversations either walking or sitting it's been a great relief.

Best on market, but not that good
I would agree with most other reviewers in saying that this is probably the best hands-free set for this phone on the market.I'm buying my third one.That said, I'm buying my third one in less than three years-- yes, this is not a durable headset.Because cell phones were recently shown to cause brain cell death in rats after only two hours of (GSM) use (Leif Salford, Lund University Hospital, Sweden as published in Environmental Health Perspectives), I use my headset all the time. I am very careful with the headset and its cord, but even if you're careful you should expect a high burn rate with frequent usage.
The microphone is sensitive to wind and to mid- and high-pitched noises, more than a cell phone without the attachment. So beware if you're planning on using it outside.
With all of its drawbacks, it still seems to be the best product on the market.
