Good phone, good quality but...
The phone has lots of great features:
speakerphone, mute, redial, memory dial, caller ID, flah and
the sound quality is good.

However, the dial buttons are too close to each other so everytimne I have to stare at my phone when I dail otherwise I'd dial the wrong number.I guess you can get used to this after a while. The speakerphone button is small and the caller ID has an angle that is very hard to see.I had requested a desk mount from the manufactur and hopefully it'll help!

A Great Phone Held Down By Poor Cheap Cost Cutting...
I had a SW Bell Answering machine for years so when I was in the market for a corded phone I choose this one for the price, the speaker phone and caller ID. The speaker phone runs off the phone line and doesn't need any outside power. Without the AC adapter to power the back light (Haven't seen it light up yet except for the speaker phone button), caller ID, and memory you're forced to use 3 AA batteries that'll give you about a week's worth of use before the batteries began affecting the phone's performance. You're looking at 12 batteries a month. This marketing ploy really kills an otherwise good phone. Is this the wave of the future when we buy items and equipment and not only are the batteries not included but also the AC adapter needed to power the thing!! The buttons for editing New Calls and erasing is tedious but that could be due to the batteries. If SW Bell is reading this do your customers a BIG favor and INCLUDE the adapter. Even if you have to raise the price of the phone to do it. I'll have to mail in for an AC Adapter or get a generic adapter that's 9 VDC at 200mA. I'm opting for the generic.

Built in radio receiver!
I just picked up this phone today and it pulls in two radio stations! Advice for buyers in Manhattan: stay away from this phone. I tried both near and away from my windows. One station came in loud & clear while the other was a bit faded. Very annoying!

This phone is about what one would expect for the price.The sound quality is fine, and the caller ID stores enough numbers that you could be gone away for two weeks and know who all called.My only complaint is thatthe caller ID screen is difficult to read except when viewed straight on ingood light.

Great Phone for the money
I liked the fact that the caller ID works on batteries alone and does not require an outlet.The keypad numbers are large and well lit and the volume is fine.It is a good kitchen/second phone.The cord is short, soit does limit your movement, but that is the only drawback for the price.

Not bad forprice.
I bought this phone because of the price and the caller ID. Ihave had it for a month now and haven't had a whole lot of problems. It is true that all the lights don't work on the buttons, but the sound has been fine forme. As a matter of fact the normal sound is plenty loud, andI haven'theard any music yet. I read the other reviews and was worried about this. Ithink it is a good second phone.

Adequate is a good description
No problems with the phone but if you're buying it for the LCD display, make sure you use the phone in a well-lit place.I got it for bedside use ... but need a flashlight to see who's calling at night.I had guessed wrong that since the phone is powered it would have have enough light ... wrong assumption.Lesson learned for all LCD products: Check whether they are backlit before buying.

Will now search for a phone that has backlit LCD and a lighted keypad.

What a piece of JUNK!
For starters the phone does NOT fit a standard wall mount. I never received the setup program for the Caller ID system once the batteries were inserted and of course the service never worked. Don't waste your time or your money.

phone is ok, but no power-batteries not included
Not only is it cheap, but it doesn't come with any batteries. Then if you want to get power to it without batteries, you have to buy a ac adapter that costs twice as much as the phone.

Broke in 1 Month
The phone is very inexpensive, and it shows in quality.Feels cheap, doesn't have some basic features (e.g. no memory dial), need to disconnect phone from wall to turn ringer on/off.

In less than 1 month the phone broke...still rang, but no dial tone.There is a 1 year warranty, but who's going to go through the hassle of sending in a [price] phone to get fixed?So I opened it up to see what happened.There was a wire that had come unsoldered, but there was also a ribbon cable that had been cut and repaired with tape during manufacturing.Obviously not a very thorough QA process that repairs a wire with tape, instead of replacing it.

You get what you pay for.Steer clear of this phone.

Inexpensive Phone That Works Relatively Well
I purchased this phone as an inexpensive replacement for one that I used at school, and found that it functioned adequately.However, the only problem with this telephone is the battery cover.The screw that holds the cover in place makes the Caller ID feature a bit of a hassle because it is too small and of poor quality.Removing the battery cover meant nearly stripping the screw.Aside from this concern, the phone works well.Perhaps Amazon.com should consider testing their products for quality purposes rather forcing themselves and their customers into taking a gamble on questionable merchandise. ... phone sound quality very poor
The phone has a large amount of distortion so that it is hard to even recognize the voice of the person speaking. On speaker phone it is even worse and difficult to have a conversation.
While inexpensive, it is not worth the money.

OK cheap phone with useless mute button
This phone is OK for the money and will serve as a basic 2-line budget speakerphone.The sound quality and features are acceptable for the price.Be warned, however, that the mute button is not very useful.It only mutes while the button is being pressed.As soon as you release the mute button, you are off mute.

disappointing
The mute button has to be held down continuously and doesn't work as expected. When another extension for line 2 is in use, you are unable to pick up line 2 on this phone. When a line 2 extension is in use line 1 and line 2 on this phone both become line 1. Also the hold button does not always work either. All in all it's not very usable or reliable phone.

Great 2-line phone for the price
Considering the price, the phone works great.It doesn't have all of the features of the more expensive phones, but you get what you pay for.For the money, this phone works great.If you just need a phone with two lines, this is it.

For 30 bucks, who can complain
Short form, this is a good telephone for the money.It's hard to find a speakerphone for under $40, and while I would hesitate to say this one is good, it's at least acceptable.No bells and whistles, but it gets the job done.

Probably the largest deficiency is in the speakerphone volume; it just isn't loud enough.Even turned up to full volume, I have to concentrate to hear it.It's also very prone to duplex drop-out, background noise causing the coversation to cut in and out.

The price was what attracted me though (probably you as well), and I knew I was buying a cheap phone.It hasn't fallen apart and the audio quality it good, so I'm pretty happy with it. ... Read more
