5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent "old time look"
I love my red payphone, it has been getting alot of attention from everyone who sees it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good conversation piece and great way to save spare change
Telephone works well and looks and feels like a real pay phone. It does double as a bank and the family puts extra change in it to save up for DVD rentals and pizza nights. The red phone looks great against the yellow wall in our kitchen. The Amazon price including shipping is still less than anywhere else including Ebay ($68). The only drawbacks are the chrome accents are over plastic and there is a modern ringer on the telephone. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars No problems at all!!!
This is the best phone I have ever owned.
The reception is is great. The speakerphone feature works great too, it is nice and clear from both sides when speaking, no breaking up. It has nice melodies to choose from. There is one I love and use that doesn't scare me from my sleep like the regular ringing from my old phone did. It was easy to register my other handset also.
I am very happy with this telephone.

1-0 out of 5 stars Middle-aged Mom
THIS IS THE WORST PHONE I HAVE EVER OWNED! DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.This is my first review of anything, but I felt this phone was so bad and expensive that you needed to be warned.

The display goes blank so you cannot read caller ID and it is impossible to hear anyone or be heard.

I bought this phone through Amazon in December 2004. Do not buy!

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for use near my WiFi
I had been using an old 900mhz phone that was dying quickly, so I set out to buy a new 5.8ghz phone.I have an Apple Airport set up for my WiFi, and the phone needs to sit near the base station.I had a Panasonic Cordless phone once and it lasted FOREVER!.I had that phone for over 10 years, but then one day I started getting to much interference, so I switched to another brand, and then another. Finally I bought this model and am THRILLED with it.No defects, no problems, great quality.I especially appreciate the fact that you can actually set a pleasant ring tone on it that wont cause you to jump out of your skin.I LOVE that fact!

1-0 out of 5 stars Faulty product, don't buy it!!
Check out the below (cut and past into your browser address) - all of these panasonic phones have problems. This is about a pending class action lawsuit against Panasonic.

5-0 out of 5 stars KX-TG5200M Doesn't Interfere with 802.11g Network
The main reason I purchased this phone was to replace my Panasonic 2.4 GHz phone which interfered with my 802.11g wireless network. When the 2.4 GHz phone would ring or when we would talk on it, it would disconnect my laptop's wireless Internet connection.

It seems there are very few phones that are "true" 5.8 GHz models. Most AT&T, GE, Uniden and VTECH 5.8 GHz cordless phones utilize 5.8 GHz transmission from the base station to the handset and then 2.4 GHz from the handset to the base station. Not sure why except that it must be cheaper. In any case, this means that most 5.8 GHz phones may still potentially interfere with an 802.11g network.

The Panasonic KX-TG5200M uses 5.8 GHz transmissions in both directions, is packed with features (caller ID on the handset, softkey for one-touch dialing to voicemail, speakerphone on handset) and is reasonably priced. It also allows for up to four expansion handsets. Make sure you buy the expandable base before you buy the expansion handsets as the latter won't work without the former.

Call clarity has been great and there are no longer interference issues with my 802.11g network.

I'll likely give my four-year old 2.4 GHz phone to a friend or relative as it still works fine. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Keep on Looking
We decided to spend a little more money and go with a cordless phone that we could expand with.Along with this phone we purchase two additional handsets. What a big mistake. In less than a year, the LCD screen on two of the handsets doesn't work(no caller ID, previous caller etc.).The battery on the other handset doesn't hold a charge or indicates that you're out of range, get closer to the base.. when you're standing right next to it.

Needless to say we were very disappointed and are once again phone shopping.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works great & good price
I purchased this unit several months ago and found it to be as described. I guess I must have got a good one as I have to turn down the handset volume to mid-level even with the TV on and kids running around the room. Corded unit is clear and speakerphone is convenient. Both range and battery life have been more than satisfactory. One note is that the speakerphone is not as good as the several hundred dollar unit I use at work in the conference room - but I wouldn't expect that. Price it out on the web for around $100.00

5-0 out of 5 stars Goodphone
I must have got a good one or something after reading some of the reviews.Mine works great, no problems.Of all the cordless phones I have had in the past, this one has more distance in between the base and extension than any of them, much farther than the 5.8 ghz phone I have in the shop. For the money, I don't think you can beat it.I've got much more expensive phones that don't work half as good as this one.

3-0 out of 5 stars Mediocre
I use this phone mainly for the speakerphone feature (for conference calls). My review is purely based on the base unit since I did not hook up the cordless handset. For this price, I expected a good speakerphone but it'll only pick up my voice when I'm talking within 2 feet.I've tried several speakerphones, and I thought I found what I need in this but was disappointed.Bought it at Staples for $150 and planning to return it, and get a cheaper phone (value for money).Features that I liked about this phone are the caller-id, and mute feature.Overall this phone is ok, but not for the price I paid for.

3-0 out of 5 stars Display Problem Solved!!!
FIVE STARS if it weren't for one key problem ...the display goes blank and stays blank.

However the great news is ...there is a reliable fix for this problem.Unlike other comments in this feedback forum, the fix is not simply to replace the original Ni-Cd batteries with the new Ni-MH batteries. The second key finding of my problem solving was that the remote cordless phone's recharge-base electrical cord and power supply can come loose from the wall outlet and cause a weak and irregular trickle of power to the phone while it looks like it is charging. My advise to anyone that has or is interested in buying this phone system is to replace the Ni-Cd Panasonic batteries with a Ni-MH (ex. Energizer ER-P511) batteries as soon as possible, even if you have to discard like-new Ni-Cd batteries.Secondly and just as importantly ensure that your charging-base power cord is very securely plugged into the wall outlet. If your phones are not new, then make certain that the `metal-to-metal' components of the charging-base and the cordless phones are clean. Also make certain the springs that are located inside the cordless handset battery compartment, which contact the battery are clean.

The combination of the power-cord problem and the Ni-Cd (memory sensitive) batteries causes early failure of this type of battery. The low-power battery then causes problems with the phones. The worse problem is that you totally lose the display, but other problems such as short-talk time and call-disconnect can also occur. The Ni-MH batteries and the power cord wall connection-check will make this phone system GREAT!

5-0 out of 5 stars Better sound than digital phones
After returning two digital phone systems because of their lousy sound quality, I purchased this phone system because it was highly rated in Comsumer Reports. It's worked perfectly for us.The analog sound quality is great, much better than digital phones, and now we have a phone in the bedroom without having to install a phone jack.

1-0 out of 5 stars Static, Static, Static
The title says it all.You want to hear static then this phone is for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars No problemos!
We had a 2.4 GHz Olympia wireless phone system - horrible echo and static. Finally made the jump to 5.8 GHz because we went wireless with 4 computers and XBox Live. We only needed one extra handset, so notice that you cannot add extra handsets to this system. Reception and voice clarity are fantastic within our house and more than 1 block away at the community pool. Answering machine is easy to understand and the ringers are very loud on highest setting (I lost 50% of my hearing on one side). Only 10 numbers for memory storage, and you have to enter each handset memory separately (drag). Have tested use of this phone around all our computers, the microwave, and game adapter - no problemo. I highly recommend this phone if you don't need more than one extra handset.

4-0 out of 5 stars Solid Choice
I purchased this phone based on Consumer's Reports "Best Buy" Rating. Static has not been much of a problem. It was easy to set up and program. Only disappointment-- it does not have a speaker phone function.

3-0 out of 5 stars Consumer Reports thinks this phone is great...
The customer reviews really disappointed me, since the Oct 04 Consumer Reports has this phone as a Quick Pick for the multi-handset phones with answerer category.I'm so sad now to hear it's not as good as the article would suggest! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Just don't do it.
I am not in the habit of giving bad reviews, but I unfortunately have to in this case. I was an early adopter of the system- it was just perfect for the older house we lived in at the time. The fact that the old house had just a couple of phone outlets had been a real problem before I found this system (I bought the 2415). I hauled out my credit card and bought the system and three extra handsets, very expensive. For about two months, things were great. Even my wife, a noted technophobe, was impressed. THEN....

The great wave of handset failures began. They ALL eventually failed. Understand that these were purchased new (not refurbs) for a LOT of money. Siemens replaced them all more than once, until the original warranty ran out. As soon as the original warranty ran out, it was suddenly not thier problem, even though they agreed that I had not had a functional handset more than a couple of months. Of course, then replacing the handset (one, apparently, doesn't repair these little gems) became prohibitively expensive. The base, as far as I can tell, always worked fine. It still does, I think, but since I have no handset to access it as it sits electronically blind and deaf, I can't really tell.

In summary- the handset is the problem.

Replaced the whole thing with a Panasonic system, which works perfectly. Do that instead

1-0 out of 5 stars poor support from Siemens for this set as it is discontinued
DO NOT buy a refurbished set. Mine lasted just past the 90 day return policy and stopped working. Siemens are not interested in fixing it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Good system, but only lasts so long...
We've had the Gigaset 2420 with 3 wireless units for almost 3 years now.The battery life on the wireless hand sets has been terrible all along, and we've even tried changing the batteries. Now, one of the wireless base stations has starting to die on us.The conversation begins fine, and barely lasts for 20 seconds or so.The quality of voice starts to stutter and gets really..really choppy. Finally to the extent that one has to drop the call.Although its out of warranty, but for the of this system, one would not expect such a poor quality from such an expensive set.Our much inexpensive phones from other manufacturers are still working flawlessly.

I would NOT recommend this system to anyone.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money!!!
I've owned the base station and four handsets (six if you include the warranty replacements). The handsets are absolutely worthless. They don't stay charged, they click and pop while you're using them and the LED display goes out within the first year.Siemens is still in the cordless phone business, but they won't get another dime out of me!Don't waste your money!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Refurbished - You get what you pay for.
I have used Amazon.com for other purchases and have been completely satisfied with their products and services up until I wanted to expand the # of 2400 giga-sets I have on my Siemens phone system. I ordered 2 after market refurbished units in January 2003, $$ each, of which only 1 worked. I sent it back and it was replaced with another failing unit, which was replaced with yet another failing unit. I am tired of the RMAs, shipping charges, poor products & service.
Amazon.com is great for books, CDs, DVDs, etc.. but stay away from the refurbs. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Does not have the Range
I bought this phone and returned it within 14 days. The range of the handset is VERY limited. The handset started loosing its signal 20 feet from base!Made any type of mobility with the handset useless unless are in the same room as the base.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this phone
We bought two of these phones for our home office. They are terrible! When both phones are being used at the same time, they interfere with each other. There is very poor outgoing sound quality- our customers were constantly asking us to repeat ourselves. Also, the range on these phones is very poor. Whenever I would step outside of the room with the base, a clicking noise would start. This phone may be ok if you only need one (although it doesn't sound like it based on other reviews), but I would not get this phone if you need two.

5-0 out of 5 stars buying another
I've had great luck with this phone, good battery life and reception, small and light.

1-0 out of 5 stars How did this get past quality control?
We have this phone in our small business office, and it is without question the worst phone I have had the displeasure of using.I recognize that there are a number of sources of interference on the fifth floor of our office building, but the static is aweful.Even sitting less than two feet from the receiver there is static.Outgoing sound, as mentioned by other reviewers, is also poor.We are going to switch back to our (very) old phone because this unit is truly unbearable. It is mind-boggling that the folks at GE have actually put this device in the hands of real customers. ... not worth spending $$$ for this Cheap phone,
definitly not what expected.

3-0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
I have had this phone for about a year and a half. It's not a bad phone, works solidly, and you can't beat the price. Would I get it now? Definitely not. My issues with this phone:

1) Button response is slow (Can't press "on" and immediately dial a number, for instance).

2) No voice mail indicator.

3) No headset speakerphone.

4) Unit ships with NiCd battery, which dies faster than you can sneeze. I bought a NiMH battery from Staples and it's been fine ever since.

5) Looks aren't as nice as some other phones, it's also a bit larger and heavier than most.

6) Range could be better.

Reception is terrible - lots of interference. Battery life is just awful. Lasted about 1.5 hrs when first bought, now, 4 months later, lasts 30 min. BIG WASTE OF MONEY.

1-0 out of 5 stars Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing
I bought this phone for my home office.I had a Panasonic I really liked, but it was lacking a mute button.Since I work from home, I spend quite alot of time on conference calls, using the speakerphone.I wanted to have a mute button so I could do things while listening. The speakerphone on this phone is AWFUL.It fades in and out, making it virtually impossible to hear what's going on, even with maximum volume.Don't waste your money!

2-0 out of 5 stars Many Features but poor quality phone
The features and price are great.

BUT, the auto-channel search doesn't let you decide when you need a new channel. It also beeps on the other end when it decides to change, which is very often at my house.Needless to say, you can't hear what the other person is saying when it is switching channels.

The display lost vertical lines of pixels after about a year, so you can't read it anymore. Also, the Mute/Pause button is labeled Clear/Delete for use in the menus.I have also erroneously disconnected calls because it is right next to the On/Off button.

If you can spend a little more, keep looking.

1-0 out of 5 stars Junk
We bought this system over 1 year ago. Horrible echo, no matter what you do with the volumes, and the annoying beep happened with long-distance calls only (my clients really loved that!). Don't get this system. The display on the extra handset is now scrambled - replaced the cheapo battery and it's still scrambled and completely worthless if you have caller ID and numbers stored. Customer support is nonexistent. Good features if you can use the phone - such as intercom and answering machine, which is hard to understand. Stay away from this phone, even if you think it has all the features you want!

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality
I bought the 2410 and 3 additional handsets. The feature set is great, but

- callers reported persistent echo unless I turned down the earpiece volume rather low.

- callers reported an annoying, loud, beep every so often. This couldn't be tracked down - it's not call waiting and it's not the messages waiting notification. Neither of these conditions occured on another 2.4GHz phone I have. Some friends of ours who saw that we had this phone said they had had the same problem and eventually got rid of the phone.

- shortly after the warranty ran, 2 of the four handset's displays gradually got scrambled and now are completely unreadable.

- The company's toll-free number wasn't working and they never responded to e-mail support requests.

There are good deals out there. This phone is a waste of money.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Quality Phone!
My roommates and I have the Olympia OL2410 phone system. The selling point for us was that you can plug four phones into the main system without the need for additional phone jacks, so phone quality took a back seat in our decision making. Luckily these phones have proven themselves to be exceptional!

The battery charge lasts a good long time, call clarity is awesome, and each phone can hold twenty speed dial numbers. We have three of these phones at home and they serve us all well. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Delightful!
I was skeptical of ordering this online - however I was pleasantly surprised when I received the phone, it is great, it is a Real Phone, not these modern plastic faux chrome phones that have no personality. This phone has plenty of personality and the ring is also authentic. The only reason I did not rate this a 5 star is that I wish the dial had a light in it - that lights up at night - my original princess phone had that and I just loved that feature but all in all - you princesses out there will love it!!! ... Amazon.com Product Description

A 2.4 GHz digital cordless phone from Uniden, the DCT6485-2 comes with a number of useful features, including an extra handset and charging cradle plus an all digital answering machine. Ideal for any large home, this stylish phone system allows you to place handsets in multiple locations, so you'll never miss a call. A handset-to-handset call transfer function is provided, as is a memory location transfer feature. With four-way conferencing (two handsets + base + outside call), multiple users can easily converse, while the intercom feature lets you communicate with another handset location. You can also add up to two optional handsets, model DCX640, for a total of four.

Caller ID/call waiting compatible, the DCT6485-2 can store up to 100 caller ID numbers, while the display-and-dial feature lets you easily scroll through the list of calls and dial with the touch of a button. A redial button lets you easily call one of the last three outgoing numbers.

The digital answering system features full remote operation, allowing you to check messages while away from the home or office. Voice prompts help guide you through setup, while play/stop, skip, delete, and repeat keys help you navigate through your messages. A memo record feature is provided, and the conversation record feature lets you record important conversations or information such as driving directions. Twenty distinctive ringer options are provided, while a visual voice mail indicator on the base lets you know when you have message waiting.

Handset and ringer volume controls allow you to easily adjust the phone's settings to your liking. The DCT6485-2 is headset compatible (a belt clip is provided for hands-free operation), while a room/baby monitoring setting lets you hear audio from another handset location. A page button on the base makes finding a lost handset quick and painless, and the menu-driven handset LCD makes operation easy.

Both tone and pulse dialing modes are provided in case you need to switch to one or the other. With the auto-talk feature turned on, you can answer calls simply by removing the phone from its cradle, and the flash/talk button lets you switch to an incoming call (requires subscription to a fee-based service) and put the current conversation on hold. An autoscan feature automatically detects the best channel available. Wall mountable, the DCT6485-2 also comes with both a handset and base speakerphone and is backed with a one-year warranty on both parts and labor.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great LITTLE phone !!!!!!!!!
This is my second Uniden Phone that I REALLY LOVE. It is only 5" x 2", which makes it easy to dial with one hand. It has great clarity, with or without head phones.

It was very easy to program. This phone holds 100 phone numbers and you can enter them in one phone and copy it to the other one. That is a great feature!

You can get your messages even when you are away form home. This phone also has a speaker box on it, so you can put either phone on speaker an set it down and everyone in the room can hear and talk to the person on the other end.

The speaker phone on the base also works great. When family or friends call from out of town, my husband and I both visit with them and with great clarity!

I love the orange color of the backlighting, it makes it very easy to read. It is also easy to see when you have messages waiting for you from the base. When you want to hear your messages from one of the handsets, you push the select button and your messages will play out loud through the speaker box on the back of the handset. It is a nice feature, not having to go to the base to hear your messages.

They quit making the model that I was looking for and I did alot of research before I bought this. I am very happy with this little phone that is packed with nothing but great features! If you are looking for a expandable, small phone with great reception, then you will not be disappointed with this one!

5-0 out of 5 stars Other nice features not mentioned elsewhere
There are some other nice features that are not mentioned elsewhere:

You can easily add a caller-ID entry into the phone book. This makes it easy to populate your phone-book over time as friends call.

You can retrieve messages and perform other answering machine functions from the handsets.

The handsets do not start ringing until the second ring of the call. This helps me a lot because I have a computer that hnags up on telelmarketers but can only do so after the caller-ID string shows up. It only appears during the first ring. With this system, I don't even have to hear a ring for rejected calls.

The baby monitor function is clear as a bell. Every baby monitor I have owned is full of static pops and cracks.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone
This phone has been great so far, with really cool features like, separate ring tones for different callers and bright orange colored lcd. The key pad is a tad bit small for people with large fingers, but thats what makes this a real small and sleek phone.
This is my first uniden and hope it does not disappoint in the long run.
Cool features:
Room monitor
Different ring tones
Battery life
Easy to use setup and phone book
Walkie Talkie
Not so cool:
Inconsistent sound quality on the Handset speakerphone

5-0 out of 5 stars Great phone, great price
Bought this to replace my Panasonic phone. This is the 2nd time I had to replace the Panasonic. The Panasonic's keypad and battery keep dying, its' speaker phone had lots of echo. This Uniden works great.Has lots of useful features.Saved me from buying room monitor for my baby. The sound are very clear.I have not try to see if the range is good since my home is not that large. At the price that Amazon is selling (roughly 50% off), I don't think anyone can beat this phone for quality and features.

5-0 out of 5 stars Some really Good features. Good quality
I had two Panasonics, one 900Mhz DSS replaced by a 2.4GHz DSS both crapped within just over a year, exactly after the mfr.'s warranty bids you good bye. Man, i was pissed off with Panasonic. The only one benefitted was probably BestBuy since I had wisely bought their "extended" warranty and made use of it. I decided that no more Panasonic. I don't like their audio and now their telephones. they suck. So when Costco offered this one for sale, i decided i didn't want to throw 200 on a phone and this sub 100 was a good deal. nice small handset with multiple ringers for both phones to ring differently, a DO NOT DISTURB feature that's really cool for the land liners (not for VOIP coz it already has that :-)) A room monitor facility whereby you can use the handset/base to monitor some guests' sleeping kiddo. Phone books on both handsets with global exchanging feature, a direct dial button to your phone company's voicemail, speakerphone in the handsets too that work, long battery life, NiMH battery instead of Panasonic's NiCd, heck the list is long. Now you know i hate Panasonic phones. Well, this is a good buy, I have it over a year and is as good as the first day i used it. the antenna seems a bit loose though but that may be coz its more like some people love to play with it (for god knows why). It works just great with my VoIP too. i haven't used any more features as yet and at the price i bought, it was more than worth it many times over. I'd certainly recommend this phone. I've done so and those who bought it are happy with it too. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Works like a charm
I haven't had any problem with this phone at all. It works great for what I wanted a dual handset for,I use the dual handset so I can use my Vonage phone service on either end of the house. It works just fine for that purpose.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good for the price
Pros:
- Clear reception, price
Cons:
- Only one of the handsets can be used at a time
- Speed-dial does not store enough numbers

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this phone
I purchased this phone based on the Consumer Reports high rating of this phone.Phooey! It is very difficult to hear the caller, even with the volume up all the way.The static appeared about 2 months after initially hooking up the phone. It is so bad, you cannot hear the caller at all.I wish I would have stayed with Panasonic... My old phones have all been Panasonic and they worked great.I got this one because of the great price and favorable review in CR.Big mistake...

1-0 out of 5 stars Rotten phone, taking it back
Bummer, but this phone is terrible. The reception is the problem. It goes in and out, soft and loud.I find myself going, "hello? are you there?"the whole time.Going to box it up and return it to Target tomorrow.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good phone
I was surprised at all the bad reviews of this item.I've been using these phones for several months now with no problem. The price was right and they look good. The sound quality has been very good, I can't think of one problem that I've had.My husband even bought a set for his mom.We have owned Uniden phones almost exclusively since we started buying cordless phones and always recommend them to people we know.Every one we have ever owned has lasted for years.

I'm very pleased with the fact that Uniden has changed the design of their phones to include a "talk" and an "end" button. The handset on my answering machine uses one button and I tend to hang up on people accidentally when trying to hold the phone with my shoulder. That's the main reason I'm looking at telephone reviews.I want to replace my "ancient" answering machine (a Uniden EXAI7980) although it still works great because owning the DXI7286-2 has made me realize how annoying that problem really is.Accidental hang-ups have never been a problem with my new phones. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Buttons Don't Work
I purchased this phone system in 2001.I really liked all the features and how nicely the whole package was put together.Sony really knows how to design consumer products.

BUT DON'T BUY THIS PHONE!6 months after I purchased it the cordless handsets starting having problems with the keypads.I purchased the system and 2 additional phones. That's a total of 4 cordless phones.Every single phone, without exception developed problems with the keypad. At first the numbers are hard to press, then over time certain numbers on the keypad stop working all together. If this only happened to one of the cordless phones I would have written it off to a bad one in the bunch. But EVERY cordless phone developed the problem.

Don't even get me started on the Sony's support crappy support.I gave up and purchased aonther phone system.

Up until I purchased this phone system I had been extremely happy with my Sony purchases. This has definately soured me.I'll think twice about buying any Sony product.Last thing I want is to have to deal with some guy in India who doesn't understand me next time I have a problem.

    5-0 out of 5 stars Long-time owner
I have owned this phone since August 2001 and it has worked on both standard (Verizon) and VoIP (Vonage) networks without any problems at all. In general I like Sony equipment and this phone has not disappointed. Talk-time is, with a fresh battery, around 2 hours and stand-by time around 24 hours, give or take.

I particularly like the speakerphone (base unit only) and the answering machine (base unit only but accessible via handsets), both are easy to use. The 2.4 GHz handset has never let me down, quality always good. To be fair, we live in a 1 br. apartment so dropout has never been an issue. Even so, neither 802.11 nor microwave ovens have posed a hassle to the quality of calls made via the handset.

All in all, I think this is a great phone, it's lasted me three years now and it's still going strong. It gets a LOT of use, I can't think of too many electronics products nowadays that last more than 12 months, in this regard the Sony phone is a standout.

Also, to the other reviewer who was looking for a replacement battery (my original battery died after about 18 months) for the handset, I got one from Radio Shack for about $12.95 in about a week, not a problem. Even better, it is a 1000 mAh battery as opposed to the feeble 700 mAh one that came with the phone, so talk-time is longer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sony Cordless Telephone
I have this Sony telephone and two expandable handsets. We live in an old house with limited phone jacks, so we have the expandable handsets in places where we could not otherwise have a telephone. We also can take the handset with us when we go to another phoneless room and save running up and down steps to answer a phone. The only problem we have is occasionally forgetting to put one of the cordless handsets in a charger at night and then running down the batteries. My biggest worry is where to buy new batteries as this phone seems to be discontinued. ...
