Sounds OK; fit is questionable.
Despite good sound on my end and no complaints from friends on the other end, I've returned mine. I wasn't able to get a secure fit from the over-the-ear design. Under the slightest tug from the cord, the unit would shift out of position, and when the little eargel doesn't line up exactly with your ear canal, you can't hear your caller anymore. I also found it to be irritating when wearing glasses.

Meh
Sound is good.A little too loud for my tastes, no matter how low I turned down my phone.But it was clear.Unfortunately people on the other end said I sounded distant and was hard to understand.They would have to go to a room that was absolutely quiet for us to carry on the conversation.

Overall a Good Buy
Clarity:
I first tried this product while driving and had a very difficult time hearing the person on the other end.After later trying each different EarGel without any improvements I considered returning the product.I then decided to try my other ear and immediately noticed a vast improvement.I have perfect hearing in both ears so I have to assume that the improvement was due to the EarGel fitting better into my other ear canal. So if you pick this up make sure to take the time to try each EarGel in each ear to find out what works best for you.

Noise Canceling:
The noise canceling feature is by no means perfect, but for a $25 hands-free kit it seems sufficient.You can't have a decent conversation while ripping down the highway at 85 mph with the windows down and if you sneeze into the mic the person on the other end won't be too happy.Those are things that should be expected though.I've done several recordings uses my phone's regular receiver and the EarWave Boom in various environments and the level of background noise is about the same. I also haven't had any complaints about moderate background noises during conversations and that is precisely what the technology is attempting to control.

Comfort:
I spend about 20 - 25 hours on my phone each month. Therefore one of my major concerns when making this purchase was that the earpiece was comfortable.I also wear glasses and was pessimistic about wearing the earpiece for long durations, as it wraps around the ear and puts pressure on the arms of my frames.I have had conversation well over an hour long and so far have been pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the earpiece.I also have not had any issues with the boom getting in the way or picking up distracting noises from coming in contact with my face as other reviewers have mentioned.

Cons:
I'm using this with a LG VX4400 (which is becoming an increasingly outdated phone) and have one major complaint: I have all of the menu noises turned off on my phone, but when you use the 2.5mm jack they automatically turn back on.For whatever reason LG decided to pump out these noises at ear blistering levels even while the earpiece volume is at its lowest setting.So my only complaint with Jabra is that there doesn't seem to be any type volume limiting system.Considering that the earpiece sticks into your ear canal an AVLS would not be a bad idea on future models.As far as the painful experience of browsing my phone's menu, well that would be due to the gross incompetence of LG and not Jabra.

Conclusion:
It may take a little patience to become accustomed to it, but it is a solid hands-free device for the price.

Noise Cancelling feature doesn't work
First let me explain why I chose to try the EarWave Boom.I own two Jabra EarSets and love how they fit and sound.The speaker combined with the gel really work well; you get a full-bodied, clear sound.I hear some people comment that the gel would fall out.It may happen if the gel is caught by something, but under normal usage you won't experience that problem.The only issue I have with them is that the mic seems to amplify background noise when I am not speaking, especially in noisy environment.My voice will always be louder, but some people I speak to complain they can't hear me well because (I believe) they try to make sense of the amplified background noise.

Jabra claims EarWave Boom has the noise cancelling feature (they don't claim that EarSet does), so I thought it would make a perfect headset for me.Alas, EarWave Boom has the same defect as the EarSet -- you may love the way the person you speak to sounds TO YOU, but they may complain they can't hear you well.I used the VoiceNote feature to capture voice using both headsets, and I found that the voice captured by EarWave Boom is slightly louder than the EarSet, but the background noise is actually more noticeable.I am very disappointed that the noise cancelling feature doesn't work.

I think the EarWave Boom is actually a downgrade from the EarSet because: 1) the boom will rub against you, creating distracting noise.2) The sound you hear is tinnier than the EarSet.3) It's bulkier.

I am still looking for a headset that will reduce/eliminate the background noise.

I beat on this headset, so my expectations are in line with results. I think it's a fair enough price that I'm going to purchase number two.

Works well
This is one of the few headsets that reliably works with a number of different phone, and produces clear sound for both you and the person on the other end of the line.We've tried a number of others that don't work nearly as well.It's comfortable enough to wear for long conversation.

In our house they hold up for about a year or two of constant use before they fail (usually the cord wears out).

Just bought my third one of these
This headset is comfortable and works well though it just doesn't last long.It's the only headset that works with my home phone so I keep buying them but they only last about six months.

Great product
This product is a nice headset that did fit nicely on my ear (lucky fit I guess) and was easy to work with.It is compact and feels quite natural for me.Not to mention it is designed to work on either ear so in the middle of a conversation you can just change ears.

Great Expectations
Well I thought that if it was Plantronics and it was not their cheapest model then it should function as advertised. Unfortunately after testing it with 2 Verizon LG phones I am sending it back. The ear piece is very big I have to say it was loud enough, but its impossible to fit it comfortably into the ear (and my ears are not small ). As for the microphone it is very bad, people constantly complained that they could not hear me. The mute button is flimsy, you feel like you using 99cent store earpiece. Moreover it adds to the weight of the device thus making it even more uncomfortable. My previous headset which came for free with my Motorola phone functioned much better.

Works well, but wears out fast!
This is by far the best-functioning earpiece I've used.The sound is clear, and it is compatible with every phone I've tried.The mute feature is great for the phone I have now, which for some unfathomable reason does not have a mute function built in (!!!).Back to the headset...It's great, but it wears out quickly.The wire between the microphone and the earbud frayed and wore out quickly, so now, people can hear me talking, but I don't hear them.A little disappointing considering you pay a premium for this product.However, I don't have a better earpiece to recommend.If you do buy, just expect to buy again soon.

Doesn't work well with my Samsung A460
The earbug is very uncomfortable and it keeps slipping out.I have a difficult time hearing the other side.The only time the other side can hear me well is when I hold the microphone very close to my mouth.

Not worth the extra price
While still searching for a satisfactory solution for my motorola v60, I tried this headset.While the mic quality was excellent, I found the earbud uncomfortable and had a really difficult time hearing callers on the other end.Especially in the car.I was always very satisfied with the headset that came with my Nokia phone, I wish I could find something comparible for the Motorola.

Great idea...but bettery won't make it through work day.
Our small company purchased this for one member of our phone sales team.At first it was excellent, but the time the battery's charge lasted began to get shorter and shorter as the weeks went on.Finally, 3.5 weeks after receiving, the battery won't hold a charge, and renders this headset worthless.We are returning to Amazon.
And yes, we charged it as per the instructions and are sure that the battery was charged properly each day...

OK Setup at a nice price
Bought one of these units several months ago, and the only problem I found is the low quality earpiece and microphone.I would recommend ditching them as soon as you get the unit and going with a higher quality set to plug into the base.Other than that, the price is certainly right.

Not for long use phone...
I have bought two Conair HandsFre phones, the SW8260 and the SW9260 models, both have a convenient price and functionality, but after around a year of use they begin to fail. Noise problems, interrupted calls, etc. take you to replace it for another phone.

You get what you pay for
The previous reviews are all true -- it can buzz (depending on the quality of the phone line), its plastic parts are delicate, and the headset is very comfortable to wear.

I would like to add that I used the phone all day at work for months, and it had problems the previous reviews did not mention:the connection between the headset and the phone was very touchy.When on the phone, I would often lose microphone connectivity (I could hear them but they could not hear me). I would have to play with the connection to reestablish contact.

After 3 months of use, the connection to the headset died completely.I took the phone apart and rewired it by hard-wiring the headset directly to the phone.The phone worked 3 more months before the buzz gradually got unbearably loud.I took it apart again, resoldered the connections, and got it working for another month, before something else inside failed. I replaced it with a much better and slightly more expensive phone.

Unless you like an occasional electical engineering challenge, this phone is not for you.

I bought this for a work-at-home position making many phone calls.Works great. It has great reception, fits well and it is very light, I can't even tell I have it on.I also like having my hands free to write while I talk to customers.

garbage
This phone is garbage.Garbage!My particular phone alternated between a low buzzing and a really loud buzzing.And, to boot, the cord gets completely tangled because it is coiled and so long.You'll spend 10 seconds untangling the thing every time someone calls.It's lightweight, alright, so if you're looking for a lightweight phone with a loud buzzing that tangles, this is your man.

Great portability, but has its drawbacks.
For its size, this phone has many features, including tone/pulse switch, two setting volume control, redial and flash.The long cord on both the base and the earpiece is a double edged sword.On one hand, it's great to have all that room to move around.On the other hand, even with the base cord being coiled, it has a tendency to get in the way.And it isn't modular; the base cord is attached to the machine so you couldn't replace it with a shorter cord even if you wanted to.The biggest drawback, however, is the amount of background noise it creates.I've owned cheaper phones that had less buzzing than this one has.If you can put up with the background noise, it's an okay little phone. ...
